    You are a true teacher at heart. Your videos are full of information presented in a clear and concise fashion but your excitement for what you are creating and sharing shows through beautifully. I painted a winter scene by following your instruction and had such a great time. I plan on trying this one as well. Thanks so much for your time and efforts!

    Nice tutorial. Sometimes I will add a bit of orange to tone down some of the blues. I usually work in acrylic, but really like the versatility of blending with oils. I need to be brave and just do it. I have them. They just scare me cause I am not used to them.

    • @TheArtChik
      @TheArtChik  5 років тому

      Thank you! If you watch the full tutorial, you’ll see that I add Burnt Sienna and Alizarin Crimson for warmth. It’s hard to see in the photo, but visible in the video. Definitely try out oils. They are unbelievable! 😘

    • @racheledington5447
      @racheledington5447 5 років тому

      I did see that. I should have been more specific. I sometimes use cad orange. Also sometimes burnt sienna or burnt umber.

    I'm a new sub and I absolutely love your channel...this is my first video with you and I was able to draw this wave on my son's bedroom wall...I love it! My question is, now I have my drawing done, but I only have a few of the colors that you have...I have bright aqua green, cobalt blue hue, cerulean blue hue, ultra marine blue, turquoise, titanium white, burnt umber, kelly green/verde kelly, and light green permanent in bigger bottles. I do have small bottles of turquoise deep and light blue permanent. I'm painting this on my sons' wall so its about 10' x 8' wall mural. My question is can I use any of the above colors to mix and make some of the other colors you used such as cobalt teal?

    • @TheArtChik
      @TheArtChik  3 роки тому

      Yes, absolutely! It’s an experimental process when you begin mixing colors. If you hold up a color swatch of the color you are wanting to mix (to look at), you can pull other colors into your paint until you get that hue. It’s actually really fun! Don’t feel you have to have those exact colors I listed to make it work. You can just get as close as you can, and it will still be amazing! I’d love to see your finished painting on the wall. Send a photo to my email: andreakirkart@gmail.com 🙌🏼.
