Step by step!! This is one of the best reviews I have seen. Thank you for taking the time to really highlight the elements of the system. Love it. We'll have to go camping one day so I can educate you on the joys of a connected rainfly 😅😄 JK, to each their own. Thanks again for the shares! Solid stuff. If anyone has a question on the system they can reply to this comment. - Derek from Haven Tents ✌
Certainly one of the reasons this is so versatile. Attached fly for quick setup and break down. Or… detached for many different ways to configure your tarp without readjusting your shelter.
Not to many out side the trades know what mule rope is and you are the first person who has ever said this about the hammock. Looking like you have sold me on it and a new kit for the Wing. 🤠
Great review! I have one xl as you review and the new Safari that is more heavy duty and I love them! I have my tarp set tight to the haven with no issues in rain or snow!👍
Very very good review. We have Warbonnet Blackbirds, and Amok Draumrs as well as Eagle Nests, so we're totally up to speed on hammock camping (ADV motorcycle riders). I think I'll pick one up based on your great review. And I do agree-tarp with it's own ridgeline is the better pitch. That way you can set up the tarp first if it's raining, then the hammock, and the system stays dry. Thanks!
Great idea to hang the tarp separately! Ill try it. This is my third time using my haven tent and i forgot to put in the support poles! Couldnt figure out what was different 😆. Glad I saw your video!
Excellent review!! I’ve narrowed down my sleep option to a hammock or a swag tent. If I go with a hammock I going with the Haven XL based on your review!
I think I need to find out where I can get one of these in Tasmania. Our weather is extremely variable and the the versatility certainly seems perfect for here. And and can see the utility in the storm setup! I’ve tried setting up tents in unexpected high winds before! And when the horizontal rain comes it would be a bonus. I’ve also had a sudden downpour flow through my tent(admittedly that was a very cheap and nasty tent back in 1986!🤣).
I did a full cycle of having: - A crappy gathered-end hammock - A haven tent - A draumr amok 5 - A good, long gathered end hammock with an integrated ridgeline And although I loved the comfort of laying in the haven tent and especially in the draumr, I am sticking to my cheaper, lighter and more reliable choice - the good gathered end and a tarp. I got the pad of the haven fail on me, making it useless, and I have gotten soaking wet in a draumr in a storm, just because draumr acts like a giant funnel bringing every drop of water under your butt.
yes, I have come home from a weekend trip, where I brought my newly purchased garden xl hammock with me and had to test it where I had it up to hang. I had tested it on the ground at home in the garden, and there I found it really good , except that the tarp was not waterproof. It was not a good experience because when I had hung it up and had to lie down in it to sleep, well, the whole sheet split so it was not possible to sleep in the hammock, I was deeply disappointed and now I had no bunk to sleep in so I had to crawl under the small tarp on the ground when I couldn't get home when I was on a trip to a desert island and I was really disappointed that the hammock splits like that the first time you use it when bought brand new. So not a hammock I would recommend
I have a Hennessy jungle Zip XL and I think this is a better design, it’s definitely looks lighter. With the leaflet option looks really nice cause it doesn’t crowd your shoulders. Thanks for the doing this review.
@@livingsurvival comes with a fly, sleep pad, and is versatile enough to be a tent too. This is not a walmart product, I'm pretty sure it's made in the US, quality made by a small company, What you mean is, it's too pricey for what YOU are used to.

@@HavenTents What are the advantages of a connected rainfly? Also huge thanks to Living Survival for this rad review!
What’s the difference in the regular xl and the safari version?
@@SWVAWingate size is the same. Biggest difference is the materials. If you’re going to carry it, go with XL. If weight isn’t important, Safari.
I got theXL in 2/22. Use it for motorcycle camping. Excellent for what I do
You could use bungees instead of guy lines off the tarp to prevent loss of taughtness when you get in. I might try that out
I just got mine in the mail and this helped me a lot understanding how to set it up! good job

Keep seeing these pop up on my FB page, been super interested in one, how water resistant are they? Melbourne weather is always terrible.
Hi how long does it take in average to set it up in daylight? Thanks for your Effort and uploading this helpful review 🫶🏻
This looks like a great tent and well made. I really like it. How has it held up for you?
Just bought one, perfect for kayaking i guess.

How far apart do two trees need to be and how do you raise the head part
How high can you put it off the ground got gators here in Florida
Check out that flat lay!
Super cool design but a bit pricy for what it is. Excellent vid Ben...Thanks
It’s right in line with other quality systems which include suspension, fly and underquilt.
Great video thank you very much. You didn’t say how tall you were.
I'm 6'6" and have no problems fitting in the Haven XL.
How many times have you used this hammock before you reviewed this product?
Twice before this weekend and the day before this.
Do you think this would hole up 250 pounds
Very nice piece of kit
Hope it's not too expensive

Air mattress stay full through a night?
Yes, at least mine have, but if you have the have powerpump it's no problem to refill air if needed 🤗
hey dear.i really like your video.
Its very great!
would you pls review my flashlight?I am looking forward to your reply.
You could sleep a couple kids in there and not have to worry about them falling out
That's what I do! 😁I put my boys in there on head on each end.
FYI: It's $25 off not 25% off.
Sorry. Typo.
Way too damn pricey!
Compared to what? Most other decent systems out there will be similar in price.
