I have to say, I'm definitely a fan of this one. It's right up my alley. I'm only 36, however, I wasn't blessed with the best bill of health. So as I age and my ever growing list of health conditions become increasingly more complicated, I find myself missing out on too many overnight opportunities from being physically unable to handle the toll they take on my body. Comfort has not only become a priority but a necessity.
I can no longer make it through an entire night out crawling on the ground to get in and out of my lightweight backpacker tents. Hammocks are easier for me to set up, take down and use overall, esp for getting in and out of bed when nature calls multiple times throughout the night, but they're still not without their flaws. I get tired of fidgeting with my lay position, my cheap under quilt, and after so many hours of sleep in the only comfortable hammock position, it becomes very uncomfortable, then soreness and charlie horses force their stress on my busted, neuropathy riddled body.
It's a double edged sword and I end up paying for it one way or another. It's just getting too hard. Setting up my big spike tent with the cots and everything is out of the question as well bc it's just too much work on my body. I can't handle the set up/take down when it involves kneeling down and fighting with 20 some odd stakes then rolling up a giant tent body into a small bag. My body can't take it. Not to mention, it limits me to camping near a vehicle due to the massive amount of gear needed. I genuinely miss the freedom of taking easy hikes into places, away from ppl, going in bare bones and lightweight. These stupid issues w my health limit me so much.
So something like this thing here could solve a whole lot of problems for me. It could get me out overnight WAY more often, enjoying more of my time on this earth, the way the good Lord intended for me.
Always looking for something that can help mitigate the limitations I have to put up with. I think this could work. It's a nice bonus to forget about an under quilt and use an insulated pad like this instead, wrapping an extra blanket &/or reflective layer around that thing sounds like it'd do the trick. Definitely gonna get one. I appreciate the review. It was a very detailed and thorough, pretty much answered all of my questions. Thanks again, take care.
I am liking this very much!!
Especially since it is multiple use. Hammock/Pup tent.
Helpful for out here in Utah where trees are not nearly as abundant. Looks like there is plenty of options for innovation. I also like the camo pattern for those who wish to leave a "not so visible" footprint.
Great catch, Currin.
Great review. REALLY nice hammock brother..I can see it being worthwhile even with the (very minimal) ‘extra’ weight..IF you can even say that.
Revolutionary. I already bought one a month ago from their website. Can be used as a tent as well. Highly versatile.
Hi,
Well done Video 👍
I've got the Haventent Safari............which got the same size as the XL Model but with "stronger " materials, zippers on both sides as well as an lounger strap which makes the Safari even more comfortable.......👍
For temperatures above freezing I use the Haventent sleeping pad............below freezing I'll take the Thermarest Mondoking XXL (R7)
I do own and owend serval diffrent other hammocks like Clark NX250, SLD Trail Lair 11ft, Amok Draumr 3.0, Lesovik Draka 11ft and a few HH's and DD's ...........for me the Haventent is also the best hammock if your dog sleeps with you in the hammock. Our dog (14 years old) can (because of the well blown up pad) move around a lot easier than in my other hammocks👍
The Haventent models might be not suitable for UL or long distance Hiking...............but for comfort it's hard to beat 🙂
Greetings from the baltic sea
That would a nice addition to the box
I live south of you in Georgia in Florida so I will have to make the investment for one of these.
Maybe in the next box, please please please! ❤
Flat lay hammock sounds ideal
Great idea for a box.
2:54 that’s me in any hammock! 😆 this one looks good though, and I’ll try anything once
Put it in the box ❤ ?
I am convinced Brandon could win a fist fight with Bigfoot.
I’m a stomach sleeper and just can’t. Wish I could hammock camp, truly, but I just can’t bc of the arching. Gotta be straight as a board
Does that speaker last all night playing white noise? I gotta admit, that's the main reason I hate camping. I wake myself up snoring if I don't have some kind of white noise and I've not found anything to last past 2-3 am at best
Looks awesome
Question . What make is the tarp on the ridge line ?Good lookin pattern for my area. TAKE CARE..
nightcat makes a hammock tent too
Man there is a big gap with people saying temps on that sleeping pad, I freeze at 45 and I am a very warm sleeper.
Looks great but can it be used to back pack and what is the price
I bought a haven xl with the digital tarp and insulated pad for 297.00 with free shipping from the haven website pre-owned there fully inspected and fixed like new . And it weighs like 10 pounds, I used it to backpack the Appalachian trail already, it's a little heavy but it's worth it
I want one for my backyard lolol
Hey bud who makes that Ridgeline light? I did some pretty hardcore Googling and Amazon searching and couldn't find anything like that one
Gimme dat adult crib!!!
I would like to see this in a battle box
Lol get a second like i did for 297.00 , I use the eno skylite hammock currently
Put that in mission 100
this is awesome but for a long distance hiker its way to heavy . tentsile also has a great tree tent but again its to heavy for hiking . still this is a great hammock tent
I hope this makes into a Battle Box. Hint hint wink wink.
