I still remember the first time seeing this video and seeing the apartment I was living in at the time right behind these dudes. I ran out the door with my pole 😂
Can't place a name on the reels.. but would you elaborate on em'. The cork knob on the handles are what got my attention if I'm correct. Wondering if the company name is, 13..
Alexander Underwood The reels I use are the Shimano Curado 200 e7. I have upgraded the handles with HawgTech Hawg Handles. The Hawg Handle is Carbon Fiber, oversized, dual spindle bearings on the grips. Just a really nice and effective product. Help get the line in quick and light as a feather. www.hawgtech.com
hey Captain Shane you try out those double hooks they sell for the buzz frogs yet? i see eagle sells one and gambler makes one also... sets up the buzz frog same as a hollow body. havent got any myself yet, just wondering if you gave em a shot?
Do you keep and kill the snakeheads to help prevent them taking over or do you release them...just curious as I've read troubling things about this invasive species.
Greg Kerr At first I would kill them all. Now I take what I can eat and leave the rest. I have a moral delima killing anything I am not eating. My folks would kick my azz.
Been fishing for Largemouth Bass for about 50 years here in North Florida as far South as Orange Lake and I have never caught or seen even one Snakehead? I hope I never do but I guess they are not in all fresh water lakes and rivers?
This particular species can’t live outside south to central Florida. However there is another one called the giant Snakehead that could easily make it in north Florida
cap'n, I'm an ol' (and I mean old) river rat who loves to parallel the banks like that. are the canals open to the public usually, or private? also, the last time I was down there to see a friend, I caught my first Big!) snakehead, and it destroyed my brand new spinner bait, it was a good one too! can you suggest a couple brands that aren't crazy high priced, that will at least hold up to a few of these "tough guys"? love your stuff, as always! always get a sense I'm in the boat with you, and that's the best compliment I could give!
Michigan Mister I use the BoohYah....but even a Titanium spinner bait will eventually get shredded. I have yet to use a spinner bait worthy of the snakehead. I REALLY appreciate the kind and encouraging words.

How would you fish snakehead in winter? In Florida.
Jakob Osentowski Same as sumer, they are just less active. Frogs and spinner baits on the edges or on the shallow/deep water break.

Thank You and good luck on product development. I can help with field trials :)
what is your tackle setup in this video ??
I was using a 7-3 heavy Fitzgerald Rod, Shimano Curado/Chronarch 200e7 and 50-65 pound Power Pro Braid, and a 6/0 EWG Owner Hook, Buzz Frog
I've fished with Chris licato aka swamp god in margate florida and he gave me some rage tail baits and we caught big peacocks
Nathan Murphy Chris is one passionate fisherman. He has his game dialed in tight.
