In the comics, the Justice League had a meeting to update supervillain threat levels. Batman proposed moving -Slade- Deathstroke from national to continental. Superman asked why he was even a national threat and held a vote to move him down to a statewide threat. The next time Slade appeared, he soloed the Justice League and stood over a mortally wounded Superman. Instead of killing Superman Slade said "I think you should reconsider my threat level." Slade was spying on the Justice League the whole time for another unrelated assignment but wanted to throw down because he felt some kind of way about his threat level being demoted.
The ending to Teen Titans was so bad because it was meant to be 6 Seasons long but was canceled half way through Season 5, which causes the last season to be super condensed and left a lot of loose ends. Slade was most likely supposed to be the main antag of Season 6 as well.

I have long had some suspicions that Slade in that cartoon was in some way related to batman. Slade was batman's way of preparing robin for one day joining the justice league but before he did he had to overcome a mighty villain that would test him in every aspect so when he overcame that victory he would be ready for the league.
I used to shit on TT Go before trying to give it a chance. Since I grew up with the original. It wasn't that bad actually for what it is. It knows what it is what it's not trying to be. It's just there having fun. Not my type of cartoon but I could see the appeal. NOW that movie though was surprisingly good as hell. They were out to change minds with that one.
I saw, like, two episodes and the movie. Only later did I learn what I missed out on. Also, I can't hate Teen Titans Go that much. Yeah, it is a vastly inferior product, but it at least seems to be self-aware of it.
It's always been funny to me, looking back, that Slade is basically Slade Wilson (i.e. Deathstroke) if he decided to screw with the teen titans for a couple seasons instead of being a merc and getting on Batman's nerves (or pissing of Deadshot, either one). The fact that they went out of their way to call him just "Slade" was what I ended up finding absolutely hilarious.
Slade is Deathstroke, he's always been a rival to Dick Grayson and the Titans because they caused his son's death, however since the show was aimed at a younger audience they couldn't use the name Deathstroke.

Correction: You don't accept it as canon *to the original show*. It's definitely canon to the Multiverse, as they've crossed over with the original Titans.
@@killernyancat8193 I prefer to keep my childhood as pristine as possible, thank you very much! The spider-verse is pretty solid though. That's like the only exception I will make.
@@fantasy873 All I'm saying is that you're right...Go isn't meant to be set in the same timeline as the OG series, but it is canon. (Look up the definition of canon I'd you don't understand)
I have long had some suspicions that Slade in that cartoon was in some way related to batman. Slade was batman's way of preparing robin for one day joining the justice league but before he did he had to overcome a mighty villain that would test him in every aspect so when he overcame that victory he would be ready for the league.
Love Chavezz remembers the line gizmo said!
Cartoons need to go back to like this because slade is definitely one of my favorite villains ever
Slade was such a troll to the titans but an awesome troll
High key been waiting for you guys to do this. I love slade
i need yall to react to the roberta vid and also the show was cancelled because of toy sales like most great shows
Wow I’m early for once, this was a crazy show. Definitely a classic at this point
The level of menace a dude gotta be to even get Robin to contemplate, let alone do some shit he knows gonna get him an asswhooping from Batman.
I saw, like, two episodes and the movie. Only later did I learn what I missed out on.
Also, I can't hate Teen Titans Go that much. Yeah, it is a vastly inferior product, but it at least seems to be self-aware of it.
I have the whole series on dvd I love this show
“They watched Teen Titans Go”
How dare you insult me
Watching you dance tl the Sargent gutta song is sooooo entertaining love it
26:17 lowkey as 14/15 that scene where slade was ripping her clothes and throwing her to the ground always gave me the ick.
30:21 FUCK U MEAN,HE STOLE,THE SPEED FORCE!?!
Somebody Explain this shit to me!!
Crank Dat Artichoke song from Sgt Gudda Soulja Boy's parody of the Boondocks.
15:10 He says that as if this version wasn’t clearly one, too.
@@dante1468 Ah okay, that...makes a whole lot more sense.
It's wasn't the fire that killed Robin parents, Someone have sabotage the ropes, causing it to break and fallen to their doom
I'm just waiting for the reverse flash version of these. It's gonna be wild
Slade was madterfully done as a character. Like this nigga was downright diabolical
Slade coming back in S3 where only Robin can see him TERRIFIED me as a kick!
Beast boy put mad hands on Slade

Could you react to Black frieza on cj dachamp please, these episodes are HI-larious
Robins parents were trapeze artists and worked at a circus. He was also one/a gymnast I can't remember but basically his parents missed a catch/swing and fell to their deaths as sometimes there's no nets during performances 😅 Clearly he saw it
I'm still shook Ezekiel from Walking dead is Cyborg.
I saw that tear in your green-screen and thought my laptop was damaged.
