lovely teaching style - giving the framework but leaving room to put our own stamp on it. So much better than rigorously following tab style of teaching. Well done.

Thanx man. Just wanted to say hello from Wisconsin. This was helpful as are all of you lessons. I'm playing live again next week for the first time in 17 yrs , thanks to your lesson on John Lennon. That lesson showed me I could do this again. My MS really had me down a cple yrs but I'm better. Thanks for your channel, your a real inspiration❤

Thank you for taking your time and patience for a old timer such as myself. Sometimes even a experienced player with this style of playing needs to go slow at first. Otherwise i would have just moved on. So again that means everything to me ( going slow at first) thank you!

Heard Mr. Knopfler play it yesterday in Copenhagen. Gets me all teared up every time. Your version is beautiful and I will begin my journey trying to learn this. Thanks!
Hello Hans, thanks for taking the time to comment. Yeh sure is a great song. The main tutorial is here on UA-cam, I think the solo ( part 2 & tabs ) are on my Patreon page here if you are interested www.patreon.com/joesguitarlessons enjoy. I saw him at the Albert Hall years ago, play it, was really good.
Hans Theisen lucky you, i paid a big price to go to his show in Montreal, and he did not play it. I was very upset and disappointed. To me it was a lack of respect to his fans. I can understand that he might to be tired of playing it, but we do not have all the opportunity or the money to see all of his concerts.
I haven't played in years. Your rendition made me want to try playing again and I was able to attempt a decent version (not nearly as good as yours but I'm excited to try getting better). Thank you!
Thanks so much for this! For me what you say and how much you say is perfect! You’re an excellent teacher and I was able to quickly grasp every aspect of your lesson without any confusion or questions. Looking forward to the next lesson! Cheers mate!

Sorry Joe - I got a technical problem, but now everything is ok. I like your tutorial and I'm waiting for the next part :-))) Thanks for your work and sharing your knowledge with us!
We’re obviously from a similar music genre, you pick great songs I’ve wanted to play. Looks like finger picking maybe my next frustrating area. Your presentation is really easy to follow, Thanks!!
Your welcome Dave glad the vids help, I’m actually running a course on finger picking at Patreon see link in description of some of my recent vids, pt 1 is on UA-cam see what you think good luck
Joe this is a great lesson, thank you so much and greetings from Dublin Ireland. I always enjoy your lessons and especially this one! Keep up the good work. This on will keep me busy for a while!! Eddie
Hi Joe! Greetings from Austria! Thank you a lot for sharing your great tutorial! I'm in the middle of your first part! It makes a lot of fun, because the explanation are very straight forward and even for a beginner easy to follow! Very well done, Sir! Thanx again for sharing your skills with the community! May I ask, what happened about the 2nd part of this video? Can your fan club expect it in the near future? I'd love to get the entire song on your style! I wish, nearby we'd a guitar teacher like that!
Hey nice to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the lesson. You can learn a lot online nowadays, there isn’t always need for a teacher, depending on what you want to do. There is almost a lesson for everything! I also have a patreon site where my fans can support me, there is also lots of exclusive material inc part 2 of brothers in arms as well as the solo. If you are interested here is the address www.patreon.com/joesguitarlessons 👍

Hey Bill, Thanks for taking the time to get in touch. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet, just practice, practice and more practice. What I often suggest, is isolating what parts you find difficult, just like you have done and then concentrate on that difficult passage until it is how you want it. Sorry I wish there was a quick fix
Love what you’re doing, but it’s so confusing. May I suggest next time, to play through the section first, so you get an idea of which part you’re focusing on? Really good those, peace!
Good morning Sir, I learned a lot from your lessons everyday amusing it About this I found little weird this step where you say to play 5th at the 2th fret @ua-cam.com/video/raJ8VYh6kNA/v-deo.html. But in reality it's followed by a rolling 6, 3 & 2 as you says. What about? Thanks

I'm actually trying to help people reinhold, it involves speaking to explain what i'm doing, everyone is at different levels of learning, so I like to make it accessible to as many people as possible. Rather than leave it to the imagination.
This is useful. If I may suggest that you play a couple of phases in tempo without speaking. And it would be good if you talk the lyrics as you go. After 10 seconds I don’t know where you are in the song. Maybe start with just the chords, strumming in time.

Poderia falar menos e ser mais pratico.
You could listen more and learn

Good lesson, but you speek to much and the sound of the guitar is to quiet
