This is Kimdracula, Battle-axe and Diamond Eyes from the show!
Deftones was formed in Sacramento, California, in 1988 by Chino Moreno (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Stephen Carpenter (lead guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums) and Chi Cheng (bass).
Chi Cheng sadly is no longer with us. The band now consists of Moreno, Carpenter, Cunningham, Sergio Vega (bass) and Frank Delgado (keyboards, samplers).
Kimdracula is from Deftones 2006 album “Saturday Night Wrist”.
Battle-axe is from Deftones’ self-titled 2003 album.
Diamond Eyes is the title track from the band’s 2010 album.

They were playing at the Trocadero in Philly when I was in high school. Show was 18+ and I couldn't get in, (17 at the time). So like a fucking soldier I rocked out in the alley behind the venue (could hear fine actually) with a small crew of people who couldn't get in for one reason or another. Turns out this was quite serendipitous night cuz after the show the whole band came out back to hang for a bit! I asked Chino for a hug, he said "Fuck yea!", and gave me a big bear hug. I had all my album inserts with me and they all signed every one, and Abe gave me a set of his busted drum sticks. Greatest fucking concert I never went to. Deftones ALL DAY SON.

Can't believe "Kimdracula" & "Battle-Axe" in the same list very sick performance. They we're very rare like gems some of them also are "Rx Queen", "Deathblow", "Gore", "Phantom Bride" &, "Hearts/Wires".

@@yulawdunkem9643 Yeah Rx Queen is a difference maker on White Pony it has that love song type of vibe. Which is very great tones btw it's my favorite from that LP it was very underrated.

@Sam Battle Axe is a great heavy song with those haunting vocals from Chino. Definitely one of my fav Deftones songs! I just remember reading it was about an ex that you can't live without, but also can't live with. Sometimes ex-girlfriends/wives become vindictive and I think that was the source of this song. There's a bitterness and frustration to the song.

Chino really needs to rehearse them lyrics man he always mix and repeat verses for old songs, I guess that's what you get when you are live.
Yes that as well, I mean I get the point that you can improvise or even mix in another song like when they used to, like when they play "Bored" it gives the song some sort of motion but I mean did you see how he gets to the point that he doesn't even know what goes lyrics wise and just starts to moan sounds lol

C Note Chino is definitely improvising in battle axe. If you watch the other performance of that song this year, he does the same thing. They’ve also slightly changed up other live performances of other songs. I personally like that, it gives their concerts a different vibe than their recorded music
