Making it look easy ! I am starting here and have two leaks under the vanagon to find and fix....no clutch, no brakes, no problem ! I can fix it especially when ItalJohn shows us. Thank you.
Doing mine tomorrow, I didn't think about bleeding from the master cylinder, I would have done it at the slave, thanks that's going to be much easier on my own 👍🏻🙂
This is the most informative UA-cam on the subject that I have seen. Also, ItalJohn, I love your humor. It makes me want to watch more of your videos. I have a very sloppy clutch pedal (goes almost all the way to the floor, before engaging). I'm going to start by seeing if there's air in the system. Many thanks, Kahuna!

Hi Italjohn.I did the same many years ago. so while I have to complete my VW T3 again then it's easier to rebuild while everything is apart. You did an excellent new installation of the Clutch Master Cylinder 👍🏻and the overhaul from the oldone. well done👏, greetings Hubertus🙏☮🇳🇴🇳🇱.

I will change the slave cylinder later this year, it's 35 years old too so will probably fail any time soon.

It is a form of brake/carburettor cleaner

It's probably best to do it from the slave cylinder. Mine is still ok, so it seems to work ok from the union as well.

In my case it was the rubber sealing around the white hose connection which was leaking. 😛
