Aww my husbands cousin is one of the actors in the boat! The callouses on his hands were INTENSE cos they literally had to train for MONTHS for the film! Xx

I enjoyed this longer movie review format (although I love the "what I've been watching" videos too 😊)! I saw The Boys in the Boat in theaters and thought it was great. Thinking about other true war stories you might enjoy, I'd recommend Hacksaw Ridge and The Covenant (sometimes referred to as Guy Ritchie's The Covenant, but it's the one with Jake Gyllenhaal). Have you watched BAND OF BROTHERS? It is a miniseries about paratroopers in WW2. I highly highly recommend it if you like true war stories. It's incredibly well done and the stories are all true to the word of the men who lived it.

The age difference between them was NOT a big deal then. My mother was 15 when she got married in the 60"s. If you weren't at least engaged by the end of high-school you were considered an old maid.

it is a bit sad to hear you speak about the priscilla movie without even using the word abuse once and talking about how tortured he was and how he actually really loved her. she was groomed and abused. i wish more people would recognise this, the film makes it very clear
