The cat thing is true. They wouldn't actually meow to humans if we didn't talk to them first. They learn they have to communicate with us differently than they do with other cats. Only kittens meow to their mom to let her know they're hungry.

The Vesna Vulvović story is that she was a flight attendant for a Ukrainian Airline. The jet she was on broke apart at 33,000 feet (I don’t remember why I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a missile tho) she was in then back half of the plane and became stuck between a food cart and a seat. During the descent the plane started was falling and spinning extremely fast, this caused her to lose consciousness which ultimately saved her life as her heart rate returned to a normal bpm. This means that on impact her heart didn’t burst as it would have if it was beating fast or irregular. The plane landed in a grove of trees and a lot of snow which, along with the food cart and seat, cushioned the impact for her body. She was the only survivor of the crash. I believe a farmer found her and she received relatively quick medical attention. 16 months later she wanted to go back to work as a flight attendant but the airline didn’t let her because of unwanted celebrity-like attention.

i got to go to germany on a trip for work. spent 3 weeks there and got to drive on the autobahn frequently. contrary to what most ppl believe, it does have speed limits...but only for stretches of a few miles. its weird. there will be no speed limit for miles and miles and miles but then you reach sections where there is definitely a posted speed limit for a while. then the speed limit just ends (theres signs telling you the speed limit is gone) and you can go however fast you want. got up to 155 mph lol
