My question is....where have you been my whole life!? Lol maybe just the last few months! I feel like I have been looking for these answers all over UA-cam and couldn’t find them! Thank goodness I stumbled across your video!
This is a very informative video-thanks! One question-when you mention using 2 layers of cutaway stabilizer-what kind/weight cutaway are you using? Do you ever use the fusible cutaway?
A no-show cutaway would be best for this type of material! You can use a fusible backing to cover the stitches after the design has been embroidered, but you need to use a cutaway during embroidery.
When you use a digitzing program like Hatch, do you need to change any settings when you are using a 60 or 75 wt thread? Like density to make sure the coverage is still good enough when you are using a thin thread.
I love to watch your videos. I have a design of a ruler with numbers that I am having problems with. Not sure if you can help as I have a Singer Futura XL400. Would all 7 tips apply to the small numbers on the ruler?
I need to do letter for an emblem for a local sheriff. Obviously those letter a very small, Can you suggests what fonts I can use for that? I heard about Goudy Bold. Would that work?
Hi there, we have a facebook group with thousands of embroiderers who help each other out, this would be a great questions to ask there and you'll get tons of answers: facebook.com/groups/embroiderymastery
Hi Evangeline. You would set the background fill stitch as the first color stop in the design and then embroidering this fill in the same color of your garment. Then, your design will embroider on top of the fill stitch instead of on top of the fabric directly. This will give your design a foundation to lay on, so it can stitch out clearly and not come out puckered. A lot of people use this background stitch when embroidering textured fabrics in order for their design to not get lost in the nap of the fabric. We have a video coming soon on textured fabrics, and we will explain this process further so stay tuned!
Hi Holly. Tip #5 is to set a background fill stitch as the first color stop in the design and then embroidering this fill in the same color of your garment. Hello, I'm new to embroidery. What do you mean lighter density and lower stitch count. Thank you
Hi! This is referring to digitizing!
When you use a digitzing program like Hatch, do you need to change any settings when you are using a 60 or 75 wt thread? Like density to make sure the coverage is still good enough when you are using a thin thread.
Hello! We use our own software, Chroma! We can't really help with your Hatch questions but you would want to adjust the density for sure.
Great information! Thanks for posting it.
Thank you :)
Thanks for another great video!
Thanks!

Did not understand how to create the stitch you said was like a background stitch. How do I do that?
Hi Evangeline. You would set the background fill stitch as the first color stop in the design and then embroidering this fill in the same color of your garment. Then, your design will embroider on top of the fill stitch instead of on top of the fabric directly. I missed the number 5 tip. Please explain. TY
