This is my childhood playground! I’m born n raised on 95 and Broadway! Went to school at P.S. 75, so did my own two children! I lived in this neighborhood for almost 40 years and I’ve come to know this area as though it where my own backyard! I’ve always felt an “intimate” connection to this movie and never knew why until right now! This being one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie and to come to the realization that this scene was filmed where I hold my childhood memories. I can still remember the faces of my childhood friends and family whom I haven’t thought about in decades! Thanks, from the bottom of my heart.

I've watched all parts now and this is by far the best location tour I've seen, you did an excellent job. I live in the UK and have never been to New York, and The Warriors has always been my favourite movie ever since It came out, nothing comes close. Loved It

Thank you so much for making these location videos. They are fantastic and a great tribute to a rare film. Every middle aged person over here in Britain watched this film as a kid or teen and everyone loved it. I bought on youtube movies and have not seen a film location video as good as this. What I loved about this film was the camaraderie between the characters and the way the film avoided being littered with gross language and sexual violence. It was pitched just right and made you root for the Warriors. You put a lot of work into this. Thanks so much xx

@@NickP I just watched part 6. Thankfully YT flagged it for me. The beach location was a great way to end the location videos. Strange how the locations looked scruffy and rough as hell when they filmed it, but now they look much more civilized and safe. Maybe it was the darkness that partially contributed to it, but many locations really did look scary. I guess crime was a problem in NY in the late 70's anyway
Very nicely put together. The warriors, low budget as it was, documented the city in the 70s which will make it a classic. This reminds me of Homer's The Odyssey where it gives a sense of the plight of a group of warriors trying to get home.

I grew up in the Bronx at that time... I was in The Cobras back then... felt honored they were doing a film about our wild lifestyle.... had a real gathering on time at Bronx Park East to fight.... lots showed up but so did the cops

I didn't grow up around the time the warriors first came out i was born much later in 2000 but i watched the warriors when i was very young i don't remember what year but it was before the game came out and i loved that movie and i still do. I also remember i had to miss out on a party in my house (i think because of surgery I'm not sure) but i was really bummed out since i was a kid and couldn't enjoy a party but then my dad came to my room and gave me the warriors game and i completely shut everything else out and played tf out that game. I love the game the movie easily in my top 10 for both games and movies of all time. It's crazy to think i haven't visited these places at all yet and I've lived in NYC my whole life. Except for Coney and some locations but not places like these. I really should anyways sorry for this long ass comment lol

It's weird seeing it totally empty considering how full it was during filming. Now the people are just gone. Went on to live their lives, have families, some are deceased, maybe in jail. You're here for a moment, and then you are gone.

@@MrEnergee1987 I hear you, but I think final runtime was only around 1.5 hours and that scene would’ve only added two or three mins. So, the film would’ve still been shorter than most. I just think they should’ve shot that scene at night though - would’ve better fit the mood of journeying into the night before struggling to see daylight.
They should have that scene with his girlfriend then go to scene getting everyone ready on that roll call on the boardwalk then finally start the movie at night with the wonder wheel in the background I'm from coney island born and me and my brother really mis that scene the movie is excellent its cool you were able to spot that

If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. By far your series is the best documentary about the movie that I've seen. I'm getting old. I remember seeing it in the theater when it came out. 45 years later... smh. As many times that I have seen the movie. I never noticed "The Best" on the tombstone until your video. I am trying to think of a reason as to why it's there. Rembrandt was tagging the W showing that The Warriors were there. Makes sense. You see "The Riffs" tag in their headquarters. Makes sense. Unless there is an unseen or unmentioned gang called "The Best" why would it be there ? You are quite welcome sir.
Coney Island doesn't seem to have changed I've never been there but when u see it on TV and film you see that wonderwheel I think the warriors Coney Island featured it the best

That’s right, at Coney Island I think, on the bench. I thought about doing the locations for the deleted scenes.
Not sure why the chose to pull that scene when editing. It seems crucial.
