The Warriors FILMING LOCATIONS | Part Two | The Turnbull AC's
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 лис 2019
- This is Part 2 of my 40th Anniversary The Warriors Filming Locations Tour. It features the locations used for the Cemetery and Turnbull AC Chase Scenes.
You will see Evergreen Cemetery where they regrouped to figure out what was happening and who would now lead the gang. You will also see Broadway Junction where The Turnbull AC's chased them to the train.
During the filming of this scene, production almost came to a stop. The movie was in danger of being scrapped all together due to filming complications in NYC’s most dangerous neighborhoods. Members of the cast and crew were being threatened and assaulted at times by real life gangs, and a homicide investigation forced Paramount to suspend filming for a while until it was complete.
I wonder if we will ever see a movie about the making of The Warriors... I’m sure it would be.. Awesome. I use that word a lot ha.

This is Part 2 of what will be a Six Part 40th Anniversary Filming Locations Tour of The Warriors
Damn hopefully our next family vacation will be New York I'm trying to convince my wife to go there 😂😂 how long will it take to visit all of these locations?
West Coast Graffiti Come to town! Lol. It takes some time. This particular set is all in the same location but lol... The full Monty covers the city map lol.
@@NickP Hey Nick, big fan of your videos. What happened to the other parts in the series for The Warriors? Only 3 parts are on You Tube right now.
KoolKatDave Hi Dave.. Thanks a lot! I’m almost finished with Part 4.. It will be up soon, followed by 5 & ending with 6.
@@NickP Awesome, thanks! I was hoping you didn't get 'jacked' by some gang and the footage was gone! Glad to hear you are still with us! ;p-)
Wow New York. To an English guy like me with a fascination for the USA and a love of the warriors since I was a kid these videos are are awsome to me. Thank you for uploading.
Glad you enjoyed it, my pleasure. Thanks a lot!
I still can hear.. clink clink clink 'Warriors.. Warriors come out and play' thanks for the tour!
SM Kay Haha! Same here... I did something a little extra lol for that famous scene in Part 6. Thanks for watching !!
I remember passing through broadway junction train station as a 7yr old kid and seeing it all lit up at night, not knowing they were filming the one movie i would obsess over for the rest of my life. Broadway junction was like a 5 minute drive from my house back then.
I'd feel an overwhelming sense of deja vu if I were at these locations. I have seen the movie so many times. It's on IMDB in my list of movies I have seen at least 200 times. Absolutely brilliant. This was awesome. Thank you, Nick.
This is one of the greatest movies I have seen back when it came out I was in my late teens and now I'm in my 60s and it still is a kick ass movie
Fantastic absolutely hooked on this movie, even got the warriors tattoo
Richard EVANS I watch it every time it’s on.. Great movie! Thanks a lot!
Wow, just think , someone's tombstone was in the warriors, that's dope💯🤣
Lol yeah. Haha
ong bro but this the only filthy guy actually that does this type of shi hope he does the house of boyz n the hood or some or the maclom in the middle
Happy 40th anniversary Warriors, Rembrandt and Cyrus passed away, there legends.
Wesley C Indeed... Yes, RIP.. This is a simple yet brilliant movie!
I passed through there so many times cause I live 3 blocks away...I didn’t know that part was filmed in Bushwick! That area is by Broadway Junction
Awesome!
THIS IS FRICKEN AWESOME DUDE! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS SERIES.
Being from Germany I remember seeing the film when I was twenty. Epitomized the Seventies New York , filmed nearly entirely at night with memorable characters. Being in my Sixties now, your work revived great memories and reminds me of sympathy with a criminal gang like todays Blacklist characters.
Thanks for your arduous detailed work 👍👍👍
That is spot on.. And thank you for taking the time to write such an awesome comment!
@@NickP I want to thank you for sharing this I always thought it was filming in the Bronx Woodlawn Cemetery I learned a lot from watching your video this is one of my favorite time movies

Man oh man this is some amazing work you're doing showing us all of these filming locations.
West Coast Graffiti Greatly appreciate that bro, as always !!
Love your videos mate - glad you showed that graveyard. I remember watching that scene in film and noticing that birthplace on one the graves was Leicester, U.K, which is the town where I am from and still live! Of all the places in the world!😁

Thanks a lot!! I take some pride in finding some locations but I can’t take credit for these here. I looked them up online. However, in part 6 I found the final scene which has been unknown for sure for a while. I’m going to check your channel out too. Very cool.

That’s mighty kind of you to say, thanks a lot!
@@NickP Thank you for the videos
I did not know that famous scene was shot on Broadway in Brooklyn. I used to pass that spot all the time.
RiggZz Pretty Wild, right??
A lot of the scenes were shot in Brooklyn.
I love this movie an I'm gunna watch it again as soon as watched all the locations lol. Its amazing seeing these places in dry daylight they look so much more open, it's a credit to the makers that with a lot of water sprayed about to cause long reflections an dark almost moonless night shooting they made this seem pinned in and claustrophobic.
Warriors are my heros thanks my Friend 😃
Same here! thank you!
I love your videos!!
Thanks a lot!
1.27 Leicester England. From Bradford myself but found it interesting..
Legendary Movie!

Yeah Nick this is cool!!!!!!!
cheers nick what an insight to a great movie been to all these more or less sights but your story s great nick im from the uk and saw this movie when it first came out and all my mates were doing all the lines of course "CAN YOU DIG IT " AND "LOOKS LIKE THE FURIES DROPPED THE BAT "THE CHICKS ARE PACKED !"THE TURBULL A CS "AJAX" THOUSE LOUSY SKINHEADED FUCKS " and my favourite scene is vermin on the subway after the chase with the turnbull ACs is line "THEM CATS WHERE SOME DESPERATE DOODS "brilliant
Glad to hear it Lee, many thanks!
I remember Walter hill who made this movie said this place was terrifying to make a movie , especially at night
Richard EVANS It is a creepy place, especially back in those days. Arguably the scariest place on earth.
@@NickP I'm from the UK but remember a work colleague who went to NYC 25 years ago and ended up in the Bronx by accident and he said it was absolutely terrifying and thought he was going to get killed
Richard EVANS Oh cool, I haven’t been the UK yet but I’ll get there... Yeah, especially the South Bronx, no joke as well back in those days.
I really like this movie!!! ))))
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Broadway Junction. I know it ALL TOO WELL throughout the my 34 years. Lots of times running like they did from the J or L train to catch that A train down the escalator. I lived about 2 blocks away from that biggie mural @10:23, They painted that about 6 months before I moved out of NYC for good to Dallas. I miss NY with every being but i don;t miss the snow and high rent
I really thought the CONCLAVE was in the BRONX. Great Job
Many people have thought the same thing. Oddly enough, not one scene was actually filmed in the Bronx.
Thanks a lot!
i am from indonesia
i like film the warriors
the warriors the best
Very cool!
Mantap
Cool 🤟🤙
10:03 that was great¡¡¡ exellent video
Thank you!
Legendary
Woowww ,nice
Many thanks
I just commented on someone else’s blog on the Warriors. Yours is better. 10x better. You Musta had studied this film. I always wondered where I can find the original building where The Apartment (1960) was filmed in Manhattan.
Thanks a lot Allen!
I need this one video. Tks
Awesomeness
Thanks a lot
Nice👍👍👍
Many Thanks!
I really like the movie The Warriors😘
Im from indonesia, and i hope i can visit coney island city😀
Very cool, I hope you can one day.
mntp
Mantab abis nonton bang windah kesini
it’s more of a neighborhood in brooklyn than an actual city though...
Cheers for the video, if possible the iconic cover shot, confused me, where was that exactly, along the fence? Or opposite the road - aside from that awesome content
@@paullavender9006 thanks! That area was a little tricky… Along the fence
@@NickPcheers for the update, I’m going in February - plenty of time to keep rewatching 🤟
That's our train. We gotta make it...
Haha yep!
Nick we all know it’s just a movie. What some movies psychologically just don’t leave our psyche. What a great movie directed by Walter Hill. I remember in the early 70s when New York City had gangs. The Savage Skulls, The Nomads, and more. If you have never seen it please check out The Education of Sonny Carson. Guess who’s in it? Cyrus has a role as one of the gang members. Made in 1974. Cyrus was also in the Lords of Discipline. They were all made by Paramount Pictures
Thanks for the info, will do!
My brother was there a couple years ago and he found Rembrandt's afro pick. He still has it in a case on his wall in his living room.
That’s awesome!
"You Warriors are good.....real good!"
I'm curious to know how you managed to find the exact locations -- particularly the elevated train (the El) locations. There's miles and miles and miles of those structures all over the boroughs (except Manhattan, of course).
Basically, a lot of research
I’ve always wondered if Rembrandt tagged a real tombstone.
I'm surprised they filmed in an actual cemetery. Many would say it's disrespectful to the dead. Great channel thanks for posting.
Thanks a lot, and it is pretty surprising how the studios are able to secure the permits for cemetery shoots.
"Warrrrioooorrrsss Commmee out and pllllaaayyyy" Tommy Ray from Dreamscape was in that... and the brunette from Too Close for Comfort
Truckin Along With Kearsey Yes haha. Another classic. That scene will be shown in the final part of this series.
i live not too far from that cemetary in Bushwick
even my best friend buried there
Mantap bro.. keren 🔥❤️
Thank you!
@@NickP ur welcome... From Indonesia 🔥
@@jundiadabi So cool to hear from different countries all over the world!
It looks so beautiful at night, and especially in the rain at night. But, in the daytime, not near as awesome as the night time.
