    played this pattern at league. outside 5 board was pretty much out of play unless you were standing far right and dropped your speed a lot. I think I needed to control my speed better but that just throws my timing off so i also had a rough time on the pattern. edit: I just checked out the stepladder for this pattern and most strike shots were under 17mph and I believe that's off hand numbers. Even belmo was throwing that speed

      I can drop my speed a little bit that much feels awkward. To the alley I go to practice. Got to be quicker on findings pockets and good big add some more tricks to the bag in case I need it.

    Read through the comments first. Yes, I would have had many, many more bleeps. LOL. I could say tons of things right now. But I won't. (All encouraging, of course) Most importantly... you're not at home on the couch with remote in hand. Remember. "They all even out." Thanks for posting. Cheers

      Thanks. Not too worried about comments. It is nice sometimes seeing another thought or process. Yep it’s just one day, onto the next one. Bottom line comments can tell you do this or that but in the end it’s our own game. We create our own destiny and eventually your scores will start boosting teammates in league and tourneys. Never look down, always look forward💪. Shoot well out there.

    I recently bowled on that pattern. Purple Hammer or the Nu would have been the play. You know you have to control the pocket, but you gotta find it first. You are better at higher velocity so go with your strengths!

      Just feels so smooth compared to babying it down the lane. I was a little more comfortable deep inside then going outside where I was trying to drop some speed.

    I wonder what the 3.0 would have done on that pattern? Try it out sometime if you get the chance on this oil pattern.

      @TillysAdventures  3 місяці тому +1

      I had tried it the first game but I’m a lot better now and feel like I was to open inside and still needed to stay tight like I attempted at first outside. I had the wrong lines. In wk5 we played on a 50 ft flat pattern and staying tight was the best move. 3.0 was a big part of that day. It will be out in 2 weeks as the originally scheduled wk 5 was canceled due to typhoon.

      Had to re-watch and caught it, I thought you used the 2.0 for the whole first game for some reason. It did seem much more consistent than the other balls but I agree with your assessment. Keep at it, you know what you need to do.

    You definitely couldn't afford to miss right on this pattern or your ball wasn't coming back. It's tough when it seems like everything is against you.

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 місяці тому

      It was tough but saw some good lines near the end. Could have went back to a solid but wasn’t wanting to change anything too drastic unless i absolutely had too.

    One question. Did some tell you to make sure you bend your leg at release because you look very uncomfortable trying to bend into the shot because you are a pretty big guy so I think maybe you can try standing more tall sliding to the line and that may help but it’s just an observation.

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 місяці тому

      No played it into game. Last year I was so tall and lofted everything. I worked on getting the ball on the lane earlier. Just in my own game I go deeper to get a really good strong hand on it. Also I went deeper to keep my knee out front that way if I did find a sticky spot I don’t go over top, and can recover. Lately been looking to go back to a taller approach but don’t like it. I just feel I lose some revs staying taller. But that’s what practice is for…still tweaking

    Go watch Mika Koivuniemi lol I think that’s how you spell his last name

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 місяці тому

      I like it the way he throws. Maybe my want for revs is creating the inconsistency. Just make it simpler like Mika. Work with the lighter revs into the game. No need to crank it every time.

    For these kind of patterns.... you need to work on youre consistency.... in speed and placement...... and learn to deviate of youre original plan..... these patterns are the hardest to bowl on for us mortals............

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 місяці тому

      Couldn’t agree more had a plan and choices for next attack. Obviously didn’t work out lol. Consistency is a big thing otherwise these patterns will eat you up. Been working with Coach Nassberg and my old mind would over think a lot and I still kind of do but with him, game is getting easier and easier…I just let my frustration show instead of bearing down and doing what I have put many hours into. More practice and looking to put myself in more pressure situations so I don’t fold in future and stay in the game.
