its funny cause gunlancer is the best classes to clear valtan ghost phase. you just need to pay atention to grabs and counters. but it was so cool to remember my progs 2 years ago of valtan.
This makes me feel better as I just spent about 3 hours on my first clear. Learning to avoid the knock down was a pain but the large release of dopamine was worth it😂
Valtan gate 2 solo took me 6 hours. To be fair it was my first raid and I'm playing Arcana so half the time I'm staring at my cards instead of the mechanics. Also unlike gunlancer I don't have push immunity on half my kit, so for most of the fight if I got hit by any attack whatsoever it was a wipe as I'd just get knocked off.
that is a very impressive clear time for your first raid, especially with arcana, which is definitely one of the hardest-to-play classes in the game. Congrats, and hope you continue trying them out!
I think its the opposite, most new players will not be running guided at all, and some wouldn't even have a friend to guide them. Nevertheless, 40 mins as a new/returning is great! ❤
so do the solo raids have the same rewards? im a wow gamer recently quit for time management someone mentioned these solo raids to me seemed cool. will they be out at the same time as other raids with same gear?
Same and more, they give less gold than the group, but give a lot more rewards and there’s a whole solo raid vendor that you can use the tokens you gain to get even more rewards. It’s a pretty cool system!
the key to that part is just to be calm and focus on counters, as it gives you meter for siddereal. Don't throw it immediately either as he takes less damage at the start of ghost phase, but that slowly falls off. Good luck!
That’s by far the hardest part, especially when your fairly new to game and don’t know the push immunities on skills. 5 months after raid release it was still a normal sight to see 4-5 people die to that part aha. The key to that part is just patience, focus the counters and know that the boss takes less damage initially, but that debuff wears off and you will do more damage as the time goes on! To this day this raid is considered one of the most fun reclear raids!
@@IntoTheCrawlspace I hope to find it fun soon, but atm is annoying like hell, when he starts pummeling and I have to run in circle, there's where he gets me almost every time, so frustrating when you see you are so close, makes me wanna give up lol
There is a time stop technique for that actually, stand to the far side, after he starts punching the ground 3 times you can press time stop and it will finish in time for you to move behind one of the pillars that spawn. Alternatively you can throw balthor sidereal for push immunity for that whole transition mechanism to not fall off. This was usually what was done in the first 6 months as you can imagine running in circles with 7 others made that super hectic aha
Your first character is free with the power pass, I believe on other characters levelling not on the pass would be twice for Valtan and vykas if I remember correctly to get your relic set. Unsure about drop rates of those pieces on solo content. Check out the nexus for raid rewards to confirm!
if its the one i'm thinking of, it may be different in solo since I've yet to see it there, but you will see a small white line on valtans health, you need to do damage to him to break that down then complete the stagger before it completes to avoid the wipe. I believe you can timestop this tho if you panic. If this isn't the one let me know!
@@IntoTheCrawlspace yeah, its a stagger check but i dont seem to progress with anything that i throw, bombs, abilities so i have no clue what to do, ilvl14655
yeah you need to do damage first to break the shield then do stagger. I imagine the check should be small because of solo but I haven't personally seen it besides the group raid. What class are you playing? It is g2 correct?
After doing a few of them this week, they are definitely easy for the vets who’ve done the raids plenty, but not as easy as I assumed they’d be. I’d super recommend playing them on lopangs you’ve neglected if you have them, super fun!
I think entropy might have it the worst in general behind supports(it seems supports buff is getting buffed at restart though?). I’d imagine progging on a class like DB might be one of the worst iterations of this raid lol, striker might be the worst aha. I’m probably gonna use this raid to finally learn my damage rotation on DB later this week though…
@@IntoTheCrawlspaceIm a returning player that left after hitting lvl 50 and never done a raid, its crazy how much i had to look into for gearing and i skipped everything technically with the pass and raids are harsh lol Lost Ark is like a second job, no in between
definitely check out the nexus if you haven't stumbled across it already, it has alot of quick start guides for classes, gold earning and just functioning in general. The game is giga overwhelming if your new or returning after that long of a break. Assuming you would have gotten to Vern or alittle further if you stopped at 50, so there is actually so much stuff the game is just throwing at you aha.
The fall mechanic paired with how hectic ghosts is, adds a stress that those other two don’t really have in the same way, where a simple mistake will cause you to have to reset the whole thing. Well until you get to gate 4 Brel, which is where meteor panic comes to play aha
@grazvydaszilius take advantage of your push immunity from your turret form and the shield skill you have in regular form. When those are up you cannot get pushed, that will only make the grabs that Mark gets grabbed by your only big problem. Don’t throw damage siddereal until ghost phase has been started for awhile as there is a debuff on the boss that makes him take less damage but wears off overtime. Ideally you use balthor at around 17 bars prior to ghost to transition into it more consistently.
Easiest one and thats when an experienced player is guiding him, took 7 deaths what do you guys rhink about new players walking in without any guidance? 💀
Tbh being so insanely overleveled, with 5x3, lv7 gems, this alone changes completely the raid experience. When this raid came out we didn't have this much power. Not to "gatekeep", but doing raids so insanely overgeared is not as fun i think, just because challenge is part of the raid. It would be like doing elden ring with cheats or smth. As it is now you're going through the motions and that's kinda it. Also giving some time for him to figure out the raid on his own and tell him only when he asks something specifically should be the goal. I did this with my friend who was doing brel and he really liked it. As it is now it's kinda robbing him of blind raid experience. You're essentially spoiling the raid for him. Are you trying to speedrun or are you trying to make him enjoy and experience the raids? You should understand there's a difference. You're talking so much that he doesn't have the time to even experience the raid or understand what's going on, he's just following your orders as if you're controlling his character and not the new guy controlling for himself. Being a good teacher and knowing when, what, and how much to say, or even when to shut up is a skill in itself. You rushed him through without letting him organically try and figure out and understand what's going on then asked 'ok how was it?' - that's like doing a 1minute intercourse speedrun on your gf without foreplay and once you finish and she didn't feel anything asking 'did you like it? '
These raids are impossible for new players, there are simply too many mechanics to learn and you need months before being able to tackle them. Early on you probably need a guide and some notes written on paper that you keep in front of your eyes at any time to check the timeline for each mech. Yesterday I tried Valtan solo first gate with 1490 sorc using basic legend +15 equipment and it was simply taking too long to even get to 30/50 hp bars I simply bailed out. I see the run is with a 1540 char which already has Brelshaza equipment, which totally breaks the purpose of the video... I thought this would have been a guide for people that try at 1415-1490 object level, but unforunately is is not :(
Yeah I see your point about over gearing, but I wanted to test out the raid where I presume most new players would be at. With powerpass plus mokoko express, most new players will be at 1520-1540. Have you looked at the Lost Ark nexus for a proper build/ rotation to increase your damage? Have you leveled up your damage tripods on the skills you are using, those are also a huge damage increase, and the event plus mokoko express gives a bunch.
@@IntoTheCrawlspace Well I just finished gate 1 and it went fine and quite fast after watching the video, so at least I know I can progress. Time for gate 2... :D
Congrats friend! The key to the end of Valtan and the ghost phase is to just play calm and focus on the counters. At the start he takes reduced damage so keep that in mind. Good luck, if you have any questions let me know!
@@IntoTheCrawlspace Well the first gate 2 run didn't end well... but at least I wiped half his health 😉 (he threw me out of the area around 80 bars left ☹). I'll surely retry when I have more time!

Solo raids are a joke! Worst than WoW lfr! They are to easy, new players wont learn anything from them, and when they go into normal they will have a rude awakening of how hard they are for a new player. Paterns that in solo are telegrap in normal are not, counters take forever, you can get marry, have a chill, send him to collage and come back for the counter. I think the dmg its ok,taking in account u do not have a suport. This is my point of view as a veteran day 1 player.
I don't know if they are that easy for new players tbh. We found, as you will see later if you even watch them, Mark can basically immune most patterns. So his ease is basically a lucky chance he was a GL main 2 years ago. I think they are very easy for vets, because we have the muscle memory built, but this allows us to run them with ease for matts. In regards to the visible damage areas, I was thrown by this initially. But I actually think this will help new players, likely without they would eat them anyways, but ideally they will transfer this visual cue by the boss and transfer it to the group raid. Long counters kind of emphasizes the point of how crucial counters are to any raid, those little windows of damage given for burst to push next mech. I think based on how much new players are struggling with these raids, it is kind of in the perfect place besides maybe its payout.
If anyone viewing this is having difficulties with their personal prog on a certain mech let me know, and I will try to help!
