How Easy Are Solo Raids? New Player Tries Solo Vykas in Lost Ark

- With the release of Solo Raids in the Western Lost Ark, I wanted to test how easy a New or Returning Player will deal with these raids, essentially blind. My friend Mark was brought back after a 2-year hiatus after failing to complete Vykas on release to perform this test. I will sit in a call with him calling out mechanics and recording the time and deaths taken to get the clear. This episode, Vykas.
We are using a barebones kit provided by the game and he doesn't know his rotation, but he is 100+ ilevel over the raid, 1540 (the point at which gold honing starts so a good place to park and test the raids for new players likely start point). He is also playing a blue gunlancer, which wasn't intended, that provides significant cheese ability to the mechanics. So follow along as we test the average new player to Lost Ark try these Solo Raids.

Might actually be easier on an actual damage dealer. He's slow, does low damage, and has a tiny spacebar that's awkward to use.
He survives a lot of stuff, because he's a gunlancer; but he also gets into those situations, because he's a gunlancer.

I'm just like your friend, 2 year hiatus, just went back to the game and i'm having a blast doing blind runs. Never had the chance to do anything past Valtan because when i reached Vykas item level everyone was already on Brelshaza, so there was no learning parties and all i could do was pay for bus, so i just quit.
Last weekend i already beat her in 5 different characters at item level and with no raid buff, i also did Brel gate 1-2 on a character i put on 1510 with a pass long ago.
At this rate i will never catch up by purpose because i can enjoy the game without have to experience gatekeep at the lower raids.
I genuinely think this is a very good way to play lost ark as a new or returning player. A lot of the min maxing and toxicity of party finder are removed and you can play at a casual pace. I think those speed running end game raids as a new player will unfortunately hate the game in no time due to these reasons.
@@IntoTheCrawlspace speedrunning newcomers will 100% quit. Lucky me that already experienced the bad side of party finder, so i'm just fine playing older (new for me) content alone.

It would be nice if you actually explained them why they should do the things you told them just so they could comfortably clear later. I mean you explained certain things but most details were omitted and instead you just puppet-mastered them.

Anyway,man seeying this I remember how bad I was back in Vykas days I was geting hit by evrything,doing no dmg no uptime,never was in the mvp screen but somehow I manage to get thro.
He was already giga overpowered, Same reason I didn't give him Deep dive. Tech new players would have those, but he was already in god mode as a 1540 GL
The blocking orb mech you should have let him learn it instead of holding his hand
I kinda liked gate 1 but I understand why they took it out.
The pug experience was a night and day difference after this removal happened, I liked it too but similar to the OG Brel 2 gate, its removal just made life easier lol

I need to find out what's the best way to improve object level at 1490 when you have +15 legendary. Valtan/Vykas improves to relic, but +15 is also 1490. Can you skip these and go directly for Brelshaza equipment? Or do you need relic to transfer the exp levels? I checked on improving the legendary past +15, but it costs gold and I don't have that much :(
You want to do brelshaza conversion 100%
I did it with a 1490 last week and a 1-2
Brelshaza and the Matts from the solo vendor I was able to get 3 pieces. Then you can push to 1540 without gold cost!
Note you need to be 1490 to get into brelshaza raid, so you will need full relic armour and weapon +15 before you can go in.
You could but you can't transfer the gear so you'd start back at lvl0 gear I mean I don't know if it would be worth but definitely didn't seem worth when I put my gloves on and went from 1490 to like 1475 😂

@@IntoTheCrawlspace Unfortunately Valtan works for me but not Vykas, I don't have enough DPS to clear the boss at 1490, I run out of time. I can lower her hp to 50 bars in 10 minutes, but then she becomes berserk and all the mechs happen at the same time, leaving no chance to survive with only 5 healing potions. ☹

Are you familiar with tripods?
That’s a huge damage increase. Using damage siddereals will also probably help if not already using them for that.

He didn’t enable gold earning on these early raids because as a 1540 it just didn’t make sense when he could enable on Brel, Kaya and clown
