    Hi Nigel, I've only just found your wonderful Fransham Forge site, what a superb forge and beautiful work you do! As an old fabricator myself,
    I love and appreciate your craftsmanship...I've subscribed!....maybe rethink your music accompaniment?...the sound of hammer on steel is music enough!

    Loved watching this and the positive reinforcement for using arc welding to help hold pieces until other joinery can be applied.

    Brilliant Basket. In the past when I’ve riveted things together I’ve bolted the it together first. Then removing a bolt and replacing it with a rivet. The bolts keep everything in place.

      hi Edd
      yea i do that too when the budget is high and the work is for listed buildings .I also fire weld everything or weld and forge them in so you can not see them .the way to go is to forge the best you can but also forge to make money unless its a show and you want to win

      @@NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith Hi mate yeah how you made the forge and a good look at is what sort of refractory you used and what sort of burner etc you used. Yeah if you build a new forge a video on that would be appreciated, Cheers Len.

    Nigel, a quick question if I may. Where did you get that three legged square you used? Or is it self-fabricated? Cheers mate.

    • @NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith
      @NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Dale you brush on dilute ferric chloride only a small amount in water .the rust is only two hours old and will be totally even in two days then fix with a coat of teak oil .on indoor work fix with Renaissance wax .
