- How do you like your Tamagoyaki?! Sweet or Savory?!
I used to love savory one but now I like both. hehe
Both flavors can be a great side dish for Bento lunch box.
---------------------------------
Tamagoyaki
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 2-3 (6 pieces)
Ingredients:
((Savory Dashi Flavor: store-bought seasoning))
3 eggs
2 tsp. Yamaki Kappo Shiro Dashi (White Dashi)
2 tbsp. water
((Savory Dashi Flavor: from scratch))
3 eggs
3 tbsp. Dashi broth (you can use Dashi powder to make it)
1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
a pinch of salt
((Sweet Flavor))
3 eggs
1 tbsp. soy milk/milk/plain yogurt
1 tbsp. sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
Directions:
1. Beat eggs in a bowl, add the seasonings and mix well.
2. Heat cooking oil in a Tamagoyaki Nabe (rectangular omelette pan), pour a thin layer of egg mixture in the pan and spread over the surface. Cook until half done, roll up the egg, and move it to one end. Pour in another thin layer of egg mixture and let it flow under the rolled egg also. Cook until half done and again roll up the egg. Repeat this until all the mixture is gone.
3. Wrap the rolled egg while hot in a bamboo sushi roll mat (or plastic wrap) to even out the shape. Allow it to cool and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
For both flavor, eat with a few drops of soy sauce if you like.

I tried this, and my mom loved it. I didn't wrap it because it was hot and my mom didn't want to have to wait lol
sounds great 😊wrapping is not necessary!
Did you make the sweet one or the savory
I made this and it was great, first time trying it so dunno if the taste is correct but it’s delicious. I did over cook it a little but I think for a first go I did ok.
Sounds great!
Great news! Minute ago I've just tried my first ever dish in my life all on my own. Incredible! Tamagoyaki by your recipe is so delicious, with the first try everything turned out perfect!
aww amazing! thank you 💖
Ok now I want to try lol
Ok this one looks more credible for my cooking skills than the first video I saw of a japanese master chef flipping 3 massive pans at the time just by using his wrist and 2 chopsticks.
Thanks! Now I just need a square pan.
TonyBlundettoTV u can actually just use a normal pan and trim off the ends, it works fine as well :)
@@seyboho7850 yes, and ends are delicious just the same
Looks really yummy and like a quite filling breakfast

I make tamagoyaki, but not with a square pan, so it sometimes ends up looking a little strange XD Nice to see how a square pan really works for this dish :)

I kinda got a hang of it after some practices and it turn out pretty good!
super 👍
I love sweet tamagoyaki and this recipe makes me hungry
I decided to make this, i made the savory one I had nothing for Dashi stuff (rip), so I just used a tiny Oriental seasoning ramen packet I found. I also cooked some chicken to have along with it, and it was amazing
putting familiar ingredients in Tamagoyaki is what we always do. this sounds the right way to make this dish!!!
Look delicious gonna try cooking it tomorrow 🤤
Hope you enjoy 😊
Definitely making this tomorrow for breakfast
I bought a rice cooker and one of these pans off of amazon today. I can't wait for it to get here so I can eat more rice and make tamagoyaki. I'll also definitely use that pan to do the same thing with crepes ☺️

Where did you buy your pans from and what are they made from and what brand ??! please do a video about that :)
I just tried making this. My first try kind of failed but my second went better. I'm sure I will get better with practise. :)
So for the sweet ones
Does it mean that you could use soy milk , regular milk or yogurt
「甘いのとしょっぱいの」ってタイトルが可愛くてちょっと笑いました(笑)でも考えてみても他に言い方がないですよね!ちなみに私はしょっぱい派です :)
