Nice review. I’m a fairly new collector and so far I’m very impressed with Fanstoys ability to be toon accurate. You mentioned the pin coming loose on the “fragile” piece that you cautioned about. Are loose pins something common with Fanstoys? I have purchased 5 FT bots and have no issues with the exception of Dunerider. The pin in his foot/toe piece is very loose. I tried to tighten the screw but I am afraid of stripping it out if I go any further. It’s snug enough to remain in place but it will loosen when being transformed. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for anyones help.
Eventually I’ll buy the official too. I wouldn’t mind a full official set of MPs and a secondary FT set of MPs. All the other companies I’ll only buy from if Takara and FT haven’t covered the character yet.
OK, this is ridiculous... This figure was released over a month ago, yet I still have not got it - even though I pre-ordered it. I should have got it by now. This looks like a very good cartoon version of Cliffjumper in the robot mode and the transformation does not look that bad, either - aside those fragile side pieces, of course. I also like that it scales perfectly with Masterpiece Bumblebee. Oh, and it seems that Fans Toys has finally begun regularly creating happy faces for Autobot figures instead of just neutral and yelling faces, which is nice.
Great name: Parkour is a French urban 'sport' where people jump off roofs making their way through the city. Hence: Cliffjumper. BTW I've seen shots where his head is looking straight up, holding his layed down bazooka..
Man. I don't like this transformation...and I love Megatron MP. It just feels so fiddly and like you have to push it all together and force it. I need to do it a few more times I guess. But blah. Very cool looking alt mode though. Backpack is also fiddly. It should snap in way better.
UPDATE...OK after 2 transformations, the DBL jointed Swivel of the shoulders on my copy are becoming problematic. The screw that connects the arm to the should that can spin up and down is either backing out or stripped inside due to the movements of the outer shoulder joints, which are fairly tight. Mines cannot be tighten anymore and as I operate the shoulder the connecting pieces moves/bends in and out. Those who just got their Par Course...Please lube the universal outer shoulder joint before you start messing around with the figure.
@@sw1000xg haha yeah I was joking. I did mention it a LOT so catch the rewatch for specifics but it’s the thin pieces that tab into his sides in robot mode and that make up the bumper in alt mode
Fanstoys doesn’t feel like fanstoys anymore with the transformation, still looks like it. Just transformed FT Jazz, so many “becareful” moments, and fragile parts needing to be moved just right. I can see why there were people breaking Jazz during the transformation. Still love fanstoys, but looks like there’s been a change in engineering, hope they improve the robustness.
To be honest I think they’ve always been like this and people have just had blinders on and been super forgiving. There’s are examples of plenty of similar issues like Mercenary wings, Tesla 1.0 issues, Warpath knees, and many more examples. That said I think Parkour is great overall minus the one small/think part I mentioned a lot.
i agree with you....who wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a figure you literally have to watch a video for to learn how to maneuver parts so it dosen't break?! transformation should be fun not scary!
I actually think this transformation isn't bad at all. Just those small parts that seem highly prone to breakage. But the transformation itself, pretty fun.
@@patrickburns4821 I know right? FT Jive I was so worried about the hips scratching while squeezing them into the rear car, and the hinges of the door felt like they were going to break while pushing in the double joint. Love the end results. But scary playing with them . Toys vs not toys 🧸. 😫
@@Paik4Life yah they have had their issues. Also a lot of times they get a “pass” on the lack of articulation, and the past issues you pointed out. But materials feels different, seems like less robust materials?, compared to the previous robots like Hunk, Sheridan, Dunerunner, or even Stunticons. Still the top third party company out their!!!
I'm getting annoyed with Fanstoys consistent bad decisions on engineering/quality. I'd rather they slow down the output and refocus on quality than to push out faulty figures. Hellion and Toro might not look that good but at least their engineering/quality doesn't scare so much. Hydra knees, Warpath Knees, Iceman Knees, Maverick Wings, Jazz Knees/chest, Tesla 1.0, etc. So many collectors complain about xtransbots, however, Fanstoys track record isn't clean from bad decisions. Looks like we'll be adding Parkour to the list as well.
I dunno. I just transformed Hellion today and he was way more annoying. Things were popping off and alt mode didn’t hold together well for me. I liked him at the time but I honestly can’t stick up for him again Parkour. Don’t fire me MMC/OcMax!
@@TransformsIntoAGuitar Transformers fans are very picky. IMO, I actually like MP45. But, I’m not most people. This FT Cliffjumper does look good. Transformation does look like to be a pain in the butt. Cliff will be one of those transform to alt mode then back into bot once & never touch again.
Nope. Not even close to a good mp, let alone a perfect one. If the car mode isn't an exact replica of the Porsche 944 turbo, then it doesn't matter what you think of the robot mode.
Same planning, design, engineering, molding and packaging/distribution costs as a larger figure. The difference in cost between this and Jive, for example, is simply down to smaller material quantities. Similarly, there will be more plastic/die cast/paint on parkour than many legends scale figures. Price makes sense tbh. If you want to talk over-priced we should roll out Hasbro's latest efforts...

Thanks for mentioning!!!! ❤Nice review!
I really enjoy your reviews brother!
Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I really appreciate it!

It’s just a design choice for this specific part. I wouldn’t say they’re known for loose pins at all.

The only reason I would buy official CJ (based off the MP-45 mold) is for review on the channel

I have less of an issue with the backpack as I do with the ugly back feet! Or as I showed the floppiness of the hips.
