Thanks Henry. I finally transformed my toy version today. With your instruction it really wasn't that bad. Maybe partially because of the horror stories some reviewers were giving the transformation. Overall, loving this figure. Glad I have both versions.
That’s why you should never watch Bobby Skullface for transformation tutorials. He’s too rough and impatient with his figures. That’s why he always breaks or scratches his figures.
I recently bought Jive and used your review to help me transform him👍 A lot of UA-cam reviews are hard on him and his transformation because of how difficult a time he is to transform BUT with some patience I got through it and thank you for having this review out there👍
Glad my instructions helped you get through some of the challenging parts! Transformation is the one area I really try to make easy for my viewers. The big downside of only doing livestream reviews though is the crappy resolution limit to 720 in the UA-cam app.
Finally transformed mine. The leg collapse and getting the arms and front tires in place was the pain. Other than that enjoyable and not too complicated. Thanks for the review and walk through.
Great review and transformation guide Henry. Jive looks fantastic, looking forward to getting my copy from Terry in the New Year. Glad you’re feeling better since your Navigant review - I received my shipping notification yesterday so Navigant should arrive today, and PSX shipped those broken parts for the exclusive Tempo that I had issues with out of box which should be here next week. Merry Christmas to you and your family hope you have a great time over the holidays.
Nice! You have some fun stuff coming before and after the holidays! I’m glad they are fixing your tempo issues too. Happy holidays and a happy new year to you and your family. Thanks for always supporting me and the channel through the years.
I love the look of this figure. I thought the proportions on the other releases were off, and I am glad I waited. I am tempted to get two, one for each mode. Thanks for the stream Henry. Sorry I ended up working and missed it. Have a fantastic weekend.
He definitely looks great in both modes so getting 2 isn't a crazy idea. Definitely the best Jazz to date. No worries about missing the live, I just appreciate your constant support and comments. Have a happy holiday!
Now I have this figure as well. I have many Fans Toys figures already and I have to admit that among all of them, Jive has the most annoying transformation for a long time. I have transformed it back and forth and into the car mode for the second time, and I know that I will never enjoy transforming it into either mode, despite knowing what to do. I also already had Downbeat, so the question is: was it worth replacing it with Jive? The answer: definitely. Despite its difficult transformation, the robot mode looks so much better than Downbeat's that it really looks like it was created to resemble the cartoon model as closely as possible. The articulation is better, too, since it can raise its arms up without opening the chest and actually has friction leg joints for the side movement. The car mode is also slightly more cartoon accurate than Downbeat's. So this is pretty much the ultimate Masterpiece scaled Jazz, and I know that even if Takara Tomy some day releases an official one, I am not going to get it, since it cannot beat Jive's looks.
Thanks for sharing your opinion/review. I agree with most everything you said except the last part about saying definitely that Jive will be the best (either in looks or overall) because we never know what the future designs will bring. But otherwise, spot-on review in my opinion!
The things I hated about downbeat are the fact that you can’t rotate the arms up without untabbing the torso and the bad grappling hook accessory design. He still looks good though and holds up to this day
@@Paik4Life yeah I think the chest un-tabbing was probably its biggest flaw, that auto-morphing leg gimmick is so nice when you get it right though! Phantasm just showed up here, that's how far behind I am haha.
@@Paik4Life thanks guvnor. Yes it's amazing in every single way except those two I mentioned. It's a premium replica so I would hope in the future they start considering these points. It's just a simple spring mechanism. It's for my brother. I already got him the 80s reissue so I did my brotherly duty. But I wanna blow him away with a giant version one day. With those soft rubber wheels. Keep up the great work. Thank you

The toy version looks great but I’m too cheap to pay over $200 for the upgrade

Thanx for the gentle mention buddy!!! Nice to know u liked my work again ;-)

Skywarp throwing Jazz was a reference to the S1 intro. Great review Paik, thanks so much!
Oh now I remember and he transforms into his alt mode and comes back. I just didn’t remember that happening in an episode. Thanks, Chris!

Yeah definitely more annoying than I would have liked but honestly better than average for FT transformations. And he looks great so it’s a win for me
That person in the chat wanted you to recreate the iconic moment where Skywarp threw Jazz and he transformed in the 1st season intro…great review
Thanks. I totally forgot about that until folks reminded me it was the intro, not in an episode

Nice dude! Mine's bought hopefully on it's way soon
Nice I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

QC bros!

Thanks! Are you getting him?

is it possible to tuck the rear windows on the backpack under the doors in robot mode. It would have compressed the backpack a bit more
No you can’t. You can pop the rear windows off the ball pegs if you want though.
Do the front wheels move left and right? And the shoulder cannon fire? My 80s original did.
No and no. But in most ways it's better than the 80's original. So.....that's something!

Hi henry, how do I participate in the prize contest?
There will be a separate video with instructions
When is the issue date
He’s already released. This is the released copy
I want this figure.
Jazz should not have door wings in bot mode, and I still put the canon on his shoulder, the cartoon be damned!! 😀
Now you're just a fence sitter!
Great review....as usual. Sounds like you have allergies or a cold?
Thanks! Yeah I’ve been roughing through a cold this past week. If you watched my Navigant review from earlier in the week, you’ll hear it much worse!
@@Paik4Life sorry to hear it, but we appreciate your willing to keep us entertained/informed through your sickness!
