That's so wonderful that there is place on Earth where people with disabilities and medical conditions can live in happiness and safety, without oppression, persecution, humiliations from the side of agressive toxic society.
As a father with a son with Autism this makes me smile so big and cry at the same time. He just turned 21 and you can tell that loneliness has started kicking in. Everyone deserves someone. God bless these two fine adults.
Nope, my heart felt so happy that they love each other and are confident. It was so beautiful to watch! If every relationship could be this beautiful when people found their mate, what a wonderful place this would be ❤❤❤
Your channel has broken the stigma of people who have disabilities, facial disorders, etc… they are just as important as everyone else in the world and they are people too who have real feelings, hopes and dreams.
Well it would be stupid to think anything otherwise. I don’t know where people would think in terms of that stigma you suggested in the first place. Why would a disability make someone not have feelings or hopes or dreams? Why would that make them any less important than anyone else???? That makes no sense.
I feel like this channel helps people understand disabilities that they might not have experienced life. I know I feel more confident talking to someone with a disability after watching them. Before I would worry that I could annoy them by introducing myself or asking if they need help. Now I understand as long as I'm respectful most people are happy to have a conversation.

He’s really good with working with people with different differences and know how to ask and be respectful, and let people shine and tell their stories
@@hannahwitts1339 Because a lot of times it can help people, especially with autism, to have very specificly phrased questions or else it can cause confusion or overload be ause many autistic people tend to think about things very much in detail and deeply and thoroughly. For example: A teacher at school sets the assignment "imagine you're on a holiday and write a card home". A neurotypical person might just write some shallow things and use some typical postcard phrases in them without much meaning, a neurodivergent person might be irritated by that task because, of course, what you write in a postcard and how you phrase it depends on who exactly at home you are writing to (grandparent, parent, young sibling, best friend, etc.) and also where you are on your vacation (snow, sea, woods, mountains, city) and how long you are staying there (just for a weekend, a week, several weeks) and for what purpose you came there (have an adventure, relax, meet with a friend who loves away, etc.). Another example: Someone asking "what colour is an elephant" would typically get the response "grey" from a neurotypical person because grey is what elephants are usually portrayed as. An autistic person, however, might think about an elephant in india vs. in africa (where they have different shades of skin colour) or about an elephant covered in mud or even their blue toy elephant and might be confused whether to answer "grey" or "brownish" or "blue" or whatever. Giving specific instructions (i. e. asking "what colour does an elephant have who was born in india and has clean skin) can clear up these multiple options and make it easier to not have misunderstandings when communicating.
Actually incredible this guy understands that yet 95% of people without his challenges don’t grasp that, you see so many unhappy relationships because people are afraid to let go of unhealthy attachments or do the work necessary when they’re single.
Riley KNOWS WHAT LOVE IS!!!! I've never heard a description like that before… he hit the nail on the head… these two are so sweet and wonderful! They are perfect for each other… I hope they live a long and happy life together….
Riley’s definition of love is so perfect! “It means being connected; it’s something you don’t just see, you feel from the heart” What a genuinely beautiful couple 🥰
Yes 💯 And the way they talk about each other, how they motivate each other, inspire each other. They are an amazing couple and I pray God’s blessings over them and their marriage! What sweet sweet people🥰
I am so so happy these two found each other. Connection is just SO important, being autistic, not every person gets that good feeling of connection, so it makes this couple, who evoke SO MUCH HOPE IN MY HEART, extra special. They both are beautiful, inside and out. ❤
I’m really impressed by how driven and independent Charlotte is. She must have lovely parents who are really proud of her. Riley is a delight too, they both seem like such sweet people. I’m so glad they found each other.
@@emmalouie1663 you don’t have to wonder, there are already plenty of news stories you could peruse about the awful things that happen to disabled kids who don’t have good parents. Not sure why you’d even need to posit such a question, we already know just how terrible the world can be. Why not just be happy for this instance where a lovely young lady has clearly come from a great home with great parents?
I had an elderly down syndrome patient who was at the end of her life. She was a mother and grandmother. She was a GREAT mother and grandmother! She opened my eyes sooo much, and i would absolutely never question parenthood for anyone with a disability. Edit: This was 17 years ago at the beginning of my career. When I 1st read her chart, I thought it was mistaken. I wrongfully had preconceived notions and judgment. It was ALL erased immediately when I saw her interact with her children and grandchildren! She taught me some very valuable lessons. I'm so glad I got to witness her love and care for her family first hand!
Charlotte is right! Riley is amazing! Handsome, kind, articulate. What a great couple. They really demonstrated that autism is irrelevant in regards to love and friendship.
“We’ll, Down syndrome and autism is actually a normal thing I have.” This was such a lovely answer. I’m glad she sees her circumstances as just regular. It’s just who she is. ☺️
usually they do. I have met a few with down syndrome and one of my friends has downs. They dont think like we do. Its not that she sees her circumstances as regular. They dont know any different. They do not compare like we would. That is the difference. To them, that is how it is.
yes but when she was asked what she would say to kids with autism she did not understand the question - they must be respected but they can't look after a baby what the heck
I volunteer with Best Buddies and my buddy is 34 with down syndrome and has a boyfriend she’s been dating for years. You should see if there’s a Best Buddies for adults in your area! All the buddies are in relationships with people they met in the program, it’s really sweet
My girlfriend and I are both disabled. She’s a stroke survivor with aphasia and an auditory processing issue with oral speech, and I have PTSD, HPPD, anxiety, chronic depression and suspected adhd/autism. Our issues are very different but often that’s what makes us good for one another. I mention this because I think a lot of people think life is over with a disability, it’s not. There is someone out there who will love you for you.
Love it guys, great mindset and yes its true, that mostly there is somebody for everybody, we just need to be openminded and openhearted, no prejudice❤

@@EZ-IZZY1995 Imperfection is not referring to their syndromes, it's referring to their personalities and traits which thankfully applies to ALL of us. Same my 16 year old has autism and just knowing that he can go out into the world and find someone to love and that loves him back and he can have a great life being married, is all I’ve ever wanted for my son to be OK in the world. ❤
My 21 year old son is high functioning autistic. He has the most beautiful relationship with his girl friend, who is fully able bodied and a graduate of an Ivy League college. She loves everything about him and vice versa. I strongly believe when we are able to see the beauty in our children’s differences, others will as well. 🫶🏻
Charlotte and Riley are such sweet and kind people! I hope a lot of people watch this video and realize that people with austism, asperger's, and down syndrome are normal people too.
I used to help support a young man with Down syndrome who absolutely loved going to the library and was an avid reader of books and listener of classical music. He was gifted and very smart. This young lady reminds me of him. Lovely couple, both very intelligent and kind people
Indeed, what a sweet point. Yes, because they're not trying so hard to abstract its purpose and what such a dynamic does to their overall emotions. They mentally are better off in that way, to not have such a need to mindlessly abstract and make a song and dance about marriage and relationship as if it requires some artistic or poetic interpretation or overachieving, Olympian nature. This is why this channel is so great, it showcases how beautiful, curious, and/or livable life can be with varying perspectives of how it works.
What a great point. The way they can explain their decisions is amazing. Its a better understanding than the average person has. They traded some common abilities for some very uncommon ones. They are just different. Even his understanding of the benefits of being tall was so wise hahaha

100% why are more people not commenting on this. She has indicated she has down syndrome and autism and is much more intelligent than more articulate than half of the people doing confessionals on reality tv shows.
My best friend and neighbor growing up was a girl with downsyndrome. As a child I didn't realize anything was different. We would go swimming every day together in summer and she was literally the sweetest person I've ever known. We moved eventually and as a grown up I'm so thankful for our moms for letting two kids be kids and never make it a topic of discussion of why Ashley is different. Because she never was, she was always just my friend Ashley. I love this channel for normalizing people. And Ashley I know it's been forever since we last hung out but I miss you girl. I hope you're doing well.
It's the same thing with race. If the parents don't make an issue of it, racism on either side is nonexistent. Racists come from racist environments. One needs to make the effort to break the chain of prejudice. Just like with mental illnesses.
This is awesome. Very happy they found each other. My brother has asperger syndrome, and I feel bad that he hasn't been lucky like Charlotte and Riley. We wish there was a place where people with these syndromes could meet each other. They both seems pretty high functioning too which is great.

That's typical of people with Asperger's Syndrome. They really yearn for love, and tend to be really good at it. What amazes me is how mature Charlotte is.
@@BKNeifertnot only that, autistic people tend to be very literal and don’t see the point of mind games, lying or manipulation or not saying exactly what you mean. So there would be none of the hiding things or dishonesty, passive aggressiveness, manipulation, or any of the other negative communication issues that can happen that cause problems in other relationships. Obviously not everyone who doesn’t have autism does those things, and a lot of people have healthy relationships and healthy communication. They were just example of things that happen in some relationships and come between people
It’s so simple but I’ve actually never heard someone say that what’s great about being in a relationship is that the person is “with” you even when you’re not with them. Relationships aren’t for everyone and you can have that feeling about friends, family and animals too but it was eye opening to hear love described this way.
We get conditioned by media and society to expect too much out of our relationships. Finding someone that you care for and that cares for you will make your life better than being alone. Having someone that understands you and wants to be with you is very simple yet society and media love to complicate it. Too many people are like a leaking bucket, they are in constant need of being filled with attention and material things. Rather than working on fixing the leak in the bucket, they search for more things to fill the bucket, just to end up being empty later on.

If people will just watch, it will help them to keep their own lives in proper perspective. I share these with my children too.

Yes,i LOVED that too. He knows his stuff
My thoughts exactly!
He’s really good with working with people with different differences and know how to ask and be respectful, and let people shine and tell their stories
I'm curious, why he gave this specific instruction. Could somebody explain the reason for this?
@@hannahwitts1339 Because a lot of times it can help people, especially with autism, to have very specificly phrased questions or else it can cause confusion or overload be ause many autistic people tend to think about things very much in detail and deeply and thoroughly. For example:
A teacher at school sets the assignment "imagine you're on a holiday and write a card home".
Another example:
Someone asking "what colour is an elephant" would typically get the response "grey" from a neurotypical person because grey is what elephants are usually portrayed as.

@@Jayess-c if they were my friends i would’ve said the same thing, that they were a cute and adorable couple.
@@Jayess-c and in fact i would love to be their friends, they seem like amazing and inspiring people
I tell you one thing, I wish more people were this happy to be in each other's lives. God bless.
What a competent man, he is more expressive than any normal man
I dont have Autism, but these two are a great example of finding love is for everyone. I really like these two, what a great couple. They have not let what society would call setbacks determine what kind of life a person can have. You can feel the love between the two and the beautiful energy between them. We could all take a lesson from these two, really happy I stopped here. God bless you both.
They seem to be more well rounded and put together better than 98% of the rest of the marriages in the world. What wonderful people and sweet couple! I hope if they have kids we will get to see them all together. I hope they do more specials on them. More people need to be like Riley and Charlotte. Couples could really learn a lot about them. May God Bless and keep them. They are just amazing!
But do they?
That's typical of people with Asperger's Syndrome. They really yearn for love, and tend to be really good at it. What amazes me is how mature Charlotte is.
У Шарлотты не может быть детей из-за неправильного набора хромосом.😢
@@BKNeifertnot only that, autistic people tend to be very literal and don’t see the point of mind games, lying or manipulation or not saying exactly what you mean. So there would be none of the hiding things or dishonesty, passive aggressiveness, manipulation, or any of the other negative communication issues that can happen that cause problems in other relationships. Obviously not everyone who doesn’t have autism does those things, and a lot of people have healthy relationships and healthy communication. They were just example of things that happen in some relationships and come between people
This couple is a inspiration, they have more love and understanding of each other than most couples.
Beautiful. " We are together even when we are apart." Lovely, God bless them .
It’s so simple but I’ve actually never heard someone say that what’s great about being in a relationship is that the person is “with” you even when you’re not with them. Relationships aren’t for everyone and you can have that feeling about friends, family and animals too but it was eye opening to hear love described this way.
Yes that was so well stated and so true.
@@davidparker9676 There's a hole in the bucket Mariah, Mariah . . . couldn't help myself
When I was little I used to think autistic people don’t crush or get crushed on. I got diagnosed with autism though. Now an adult and have been with my boyfriend, who’s also on the spectrum, for 8 months. I’ve been with guys who are neurotypical but it definitely is different. We can relate and understand each other in a really special way. And he’s the nicest guy I have ever met.
So happy you've found your soul mate. ❤
They achieved what most people struggle to attain...... happiness.
I hope he doesn’t let himself go and get fat
@@priceandpride Unnecessary and rude comment
Very well said!
Verdade.
"...after I met her I felt like I had someone to be successful for." That was beautiful and very relatable. My husband and I are going on 11 years of marriage and I know for both of us that being together is what motivates us to do things in life.
