Dr. Mike Israetel is a Ph.D. in Sport Physiology and a professor at Lehman College (the only Bronx senior college of the City University of New York). He's a brilliant guy who knows his shit so well he can explain it to the average person. This is a fucking super power. There's far too many people who are the opposite, they're dumb fucks who 'talk science' to build credibility.
I don’t know which is more astounding -the fact that all of this information is just floating around Mike’s head or the fact that we have nearly unlimited access to it at the click of a button.

Whether you like them personally or not, the amount of actionable info that Dr. Mike, Menno Henselmans, Jeff Nippard, Dr Pak, Milo Wolf and a few others put out for free is just amazing. Not to mention that, as good practictioners of science, they also have no issues to talk about what they got wrong and why, and why they improved their perspectives on any given point. ❤

Wow! Please have Dr. Mike on again! Such an informative podcast; It gave a better understanding of how I should be structuring my training as a novice lifter and I think it will allow me to enjoy the process considerably more (focusing less on the weight and more on getting a proper stimulus with ideal form. Also there is so much more conversation that could have been had. Dr Mike didn't talk about nutrition at all! This could have been an 8 hour podcast and I would have listened to all of it.
He has a ton of videos about nutrition on the RP UA-cam channel. Def worth the watch

I really enjoyed Mike's take on "most people just want you to succeed" when it comes to family and friends being skeptical about career choices. It's true that most of the time the concerns our loved ones have come from a good place. However, their concerns are really their problem. If you're passionate about something and have done your due diligence on researching your options in life....take that risk and pursue what you feel can give you an amazing and fulfilling life.
I love these Table Talk sessions because Dave knows how to listen to his guests and interject and guide the conversation just enough. Makes for incredible interviews.
I never knew this background info about Mike and I was always curious, so glad he was so open. I personally feel he could also be a great comedian. Loved this podcast.
Mike’s a great guy to get his point across. Knowledgable with the academic and physique/experience to back it up partnered with a great sense of humor
Two of my favorite lifting knowledge-givers getting together. And each bringing a different perspective to the table. I always have questions about both of their approaches, and putting them at the same table has helped clarify A LOT. Thanks!

Sometimes dreams come true. I have read just about everything RP puts out. RP diet 2.0 and the scientific principles of hypertrophy book for the win! RP has completely changed me approach to training and how I approach training others.
I love Mike's comments on problem solving and engineering. I feel that to my core. As an engineer, the problem solving and learning for lifting has always made sense to me. It's the nutrition thing I can't solve for, likely, multiple reasons.
Love Dave's content, makes perfect sense to talk with Mike.
