I'm a simple man: I see Dr Mike, I click.
Truest comment here I see I click
💯
Real
You sure are simple
I'm a simple man: I see Dr Mike I touch myself😊
This is the most well-intentioned, wholesome discussion about steroids I've ever heard.
Whoever is in charge of finding clips for the shorts must love when Mike comes on, content for days 😂
My name is Owen🤠
@@eliteftsofficialthanks owen
@@eliteftsofficialI like that Owen hearted his own comment.
I’ll heart yours too..
@@eliteftsofficialwe love you too Owen
Always nice to see long form Dr Mike content!
I’ve probably listened to 30+ podcast episodes with Dr. Mike and there’s still like 100 more left lmao
Dr. Mike rules.
Would be cool to see Jared Feather on here
Mike’s perspective on the steroid question lying or not was very eye opening and totally correct. Marine Mike 🇺🇸 💪
He also didn’t mention sponsorships - I think a lot of athletes lie or avoid that question for fear of losing monetary support
Please please don't wait 6 months to a year to have him back to talk about S&C for sports. Two of my favorite people to listen to.
Mike led me through a leg workout last month. Fucking killed me. He's the real deal
You’re jacked dude
That was awesome! When you get Dave Tate and Mike Israetel together you get two people who are interested in educating people and helping them get better. They put out so much high-quality content for free that you can truly see that they are not solely motivated by money. I wish them both continued success.
Dave and Dr.Mike whats not to love!
I love how even though Dave has been doing this for so long, these podcasts never miss! Im convinced that EliteFTS and Dave will still be the number 1 source of info for lifting until the asteroid comes 🤣
Always enjoyable to watch these interviews with Dr. Mike. At the end of the interview Dr. Mike mentions discussing sports training for his next visit. That would be a great interview to watch.
Great Pod Dave! I love hearing Dr. Mike's insights. Very well-thought-out and easy to digest.
hands down the best TT session in a while - thanks Dave and Mike
Having to stop the podcast to get a meal in is real af 😂
Yea Dr Mikes back! Love this podcast duo!
Would love to see a conversation with Dr Mike talking about training sport athletes especially hockey players. Please make it happen soon!
Looking forward to seeing a long video of Mike! Haven’t watched EliteFTS in just under a year but I’m sure this will be a good one!
This is gold, love you guys the impact of what you’ve done has no limits. Thanks!
This is by far my favorite interview of Mike. He honesty and kindness explaining the drugs is amazing! I cant wait to share this with my students.
Heroin movies never end well. Hollywood movies are great to show the difference between pot and heroin. Pot is Cheech and Chong, Harold and Kumar, and Pineapple Express, heroin is Trainspotting and Requiem for a Dream. You don't want any part of heroin.
Man this whole time I thought heroin and pot were the same thing 😋
I did heroin once and never did it again. Not everyone is the same lol
I actually never enjoyed opioids much luckily. They just made me feel more mentally disabled than I already am. Stimulants were great though.
A close friend of mine tried smoking heroin once and once only, said it was too good and he could see himself losing everything to it.
Another friend had a fairly long relationship fixing H, and had been clean for 30 + years, and to this day, can't watch any scene in a movie where someone is shooting up, he has to get up and leave the room, the mental pull of it is that strong even 30 years on
When I was given morphine in hospital, I realised I could never dabble in heroin at all. It was arguably a very bad situation as to why I was in hospital, but I remember the morphine made it the greatest time ever and I can still remember 10 years later how great it felt.
Great balance between dead serious and hillarious. A lot of great info and wisdom in this one
I dig the new intro, Dave! Good job getting Mike on as well 👏
So much good info in here. "Most people only need side delt work", "Deficit deadlifts will bulletproof your back"
Great episode Dave! I look forward to Mike coming back to talk about strength training for sport.
Thanks alot fellas .❤❤❤
Awesome episode :) Lovely bante and info!
Is it ok if I eat real quick 🥺🙂 god bless Dr Mike what an angel
Great video! can't wait for next one!
Nice episode! I haven't finished yet but hopefully you guys get into some strength training talk as well
Thanks for helping me get through some cardio!
Delightful. Loved it fellers
Liked this podcast a lot. Mike is always a good listen.
Amazing episode
This took a few visits to finish as its so long but my god the amount of information is unbelievable.
Rack pulls with a wide grip, and right under my knees have helped me tremendously in that I’ve been breast-feeding for the last year and I have this giant baby to lug around so my upper back has been a mess. I noticed if I do them at least once a week it keeps things Pretty good for me. Other than that, I rather just do deadlifts because time and may as well hit everything
Not gonna build strength or size with rack pulls, but I can see it helping you with functionality like you said. Most people just use it for ego obviously I’m not saying you do
Great real discussion.
Could they put a wind screen over the microphone? Their breathing is like listening to 2 pugs try to eat a Sack full of peanut butter
Great podcast.
The Dr. spittin fax
Those two topics at the end would be amazing!!
awesome episode
Weed use totally blew up when it was legalized lol. I now know no one who doesnt smoke. Everyone hitting their pens all day, edibles all the time, etc lol
Great video! Mike is right, Trainspotting is awesome
Pardon the departure from training talk but... is Dr. Mike sporting a GBRS Group T-Shirt? Because that's a collaboration I would die to see. Praise be to Space King.
Amazing talk
Outstanding
My two favorite channels coming together again? Say less. LFG
Dr Mike always cracks me up 😂
Holy shit let’s go this is going to be awesome!
Thank you Gentlemen!
Please do the strength and conditioning for sport athletes. I would love to watch a podcast about that!
Great episode. Even though you had to ruin my day with the alternating bicep curls thing shooting down one of my staples lol, I'll definitely be back for the sports strength convo. if you can make a note for that one to address what us old guys that are still active in sports can do that would be great! (52 yr old hockey goalie here)
Great content
After watching so many of friends speed run through life... I'm glad that I never took drugs/roids ... their health is ruined now but I'm still in the gym going strong...
I’ll probably start steroids once I’m
like 50-60 or something and then for my last decade or two just use TRT lol
@@pricklycats my age now then as I'm 50 😂... I don't feel the need to take anything as I've been able to maintain most of size and strength and I always take care of the most important muscle I have which is my heart 😉
Same, but mushrooms are not too shabby
The point when you talked about that realist and the enabler one needs to be great: i think you both are both ! You are the reason that soooo many kids and young men and even older manlets like me are hyped for the gym ever fn day 😎😎
Mike saying he has never been to planet fitness makes me want to se Dave and Mike go there together!
The "non gym goers as civilians" was so funny 😂
Awesome
Needs more views
I can attest that train spotting is an accurate depiction of opiate addiction and withdrawal. Don’t do sleepy drugs kids, unless you wanna potentially sleep forever.
Dr. Mike, remember big arms win every argument!
The fact that you had to stop the podcast for him to eat I think passed the meathead test!
Mike needs to come back and discuss the strength side!!
already in the works
I wish you could do a dr mike monthly
Trainspotting is amazing. That baby scene is crazy.
“What’s a ‘strip set’…? It sounds sexy.” 🤣
- gotta love Dr.Mike. 👊
Nobody throws in more quality BS(aka humor) while dispensing such high quality, NON-BS content. One of a kind. Dare I say LEGEND.
Yeah Dave, get Dr Mike back for a Strength side and also a Sports side. But also, get him back for a Thirsty Comments side: search his channel's comments section, I'm sure you will find some interesting stuff...for entertainment's sake! just a light-hearted segment of a future podcast, you the right man for it.
Great
Im not a fan of a bro split. But they work well cuz of the crazy volumes and longer recovery. Plus you get cross over (with lower volume for the cross over exercises). Ex Some may do Biceps and Shoulders on the same day. Then 3 days later they do Back and Calves
I admire and love discussions about strength training and diet sprinkled with intelligence.👍,2025
Funny and educationalish
2:30:24 cool, Dr. Mike finally noticed me... except I'm not mean...and I cant speak chinese, but I understand the example 😀❤
When Mike talks about getting off drugs for health reasons after competing a little more, does he mean completely off drugs or remaining on TRT (maybe including hCG)?
atleast TRT prob a little extra lets call it TRT+
When they say that it usually depends on where PCT puts their natural levels. Generally levels don’t recover very well with decade+ of heavy use, so these guys will end up on TRT and will refer to that as “getting off drugs”. Like the other guy said, sometimes they’ll run something like primo as well, which isn’t really therapeutic TRT, but is conceptually pretty similar to a dude who has taken grams.
1:24:40 Why deadlifts tho and not a Jefferson Curl of some sort?
I’m confused so is the seated calve raise machine bad to do? Or was he just saying if you do it wrong it is bad, wrong as in overloading it with weight and doing half reps etc.
This was an epic start of a podcast bahahaha!!! The Are You A Meat Head? Questionnaire!!! Fucking hilarious! I think I’m a meathead as well…Marine Mike 🇺🇸 💪
Any tips for nice traps? Not the eddie murphy kind.
1:28:22 I like DB rows lol
How can someone maintain good mental health while consuming excessive steroids? I imagine the anxiety attacks must be intense.
“A friend” told me that you have to make sure your mental health is pretty solid, before you hop on gear. In addition, one’s partner should be informed, educated, and be somewhat on board. They can often be a good source of reason when the paranoia sets in, or when one is angry at the world and everyone on it for no reason. Lastly, the agreement should be made that your partner or a close friend can say “Hey, you are out of line, you need to come off.”, and if you agree to that, then it’s a good motivation to simply not let your emotions run out of control - because you don’t want to go off, therefore you’ll figure out how to handle mental sides.
But I wouldn’t know any of this that is just what my friend told me😉😅
OK- a break to eat in the middle of the podcast makes him score 100 on the meathead test HAHAHA
Go Blue!
Is the meat-head test posted anywhere?
I love drugs. I quit around 3 years ago but I’ll probably use recreationally. They aren’t bad or life consuming if you can control it
Chihuahuas!!!! AHHHHHH omg this is the best comic strength routine ever
21:00 the prices smell like a laundromat
Dr. Izzy what up yeah hell yeah shit yeah my work day is better
I need the meathead screening list.
Wisdom
❤❤❤
Requiem for a Dream is also a great movie to show the kids that drugs can be fun buuut with some side effects
I love that after that second question about eating it gives the impression that UK restaurants are all hoity-toity about clothing and won't let you in unless you're in Sunday best, your favourite monocle and father's top hat, when in reality that's bonkers and for the most part you can dress however the fuck you want.
Now excuse me, my chariot is outside.
It is a burden injecting yourself everyday like a pin cushion. I still do it though because even though it is a burden….it is also fun 😈
Is it just me or are the time stamps off?
Mike is on less of a cycle than last time 😂
2:34:32 😂😆🔥
"not that bad" hahaha
I always enjoy jacked David Draiman
1:24:50 😂
Yes Nandos!!
