As someone who likes South Park and the previous two games I’m surprised at what they did to this one. I’ve been waiting for a sequel to cracked but whole for years (currently playing through it again) and today is literally the first time I’ve found out about snow day lmao. And now I see why. Was really hoping for a true sequel to the previous two titles that combined my love of rpg’s with my love of the South Park tv series. Really wondering why they went this route with it… 😢
i see this as a south park DLC game tied to the other two games play those first and use this as a snow vacation game the game isnt bad but isnt as good as the others play as you want
This game is so weird. It's completely different from the previous two, both in terms of gameplay(Funny thing, the change in gameplay and rules is actually explained in game) and graphics and while you can play it single player it seems to be more geared towards multiplayer action RPG style instead of turn based. They partnered with THQ instead of Ubisoft this time around and I think it was to their detriment, south park doesn't translate well into 3D, it looks...well, it looks cheap. Suffice to say, this doesn't feel like you're playing an episode of the show.
Yeah the music is pretty bland but u have to admit the stan boss music was actually so good. Probably the best in the series of games. Maybe besides the spontaneous booty theme 😆
Sadly with what I have been hearing about the behind scenes going on at the different game devs companies I can't help but wonder if the downgrade in gameplay and visional is lack of experience from the programming team. 😮💨
@@Ashurman666 Fractured wasn't made by THQ, that was almost entirely Ubisoft! Thq did make the stick, but that was pre-collapse so that would be totally different also.
I’m sorry, but this is the first review that I am disappointed in. The game obviously is made for multiplayer in mind, and none of your review focused on that aspect. I still don’t think I’ll pick this up until a major steam sale.
It takes a while to get there but at 7 minutes he makes it clear the game is made for multiplayer, what a squad looks like, what gameplay feels like, and how a match goes. I think he probably should’ve called them matches instead of stages, but this is so nitpicky. The game he’s describing is obviously a multiplayer game, he doesn’t hide it.
The Stick/Fractured/Snow trilogy is basically the original Jurassic Park set. First was great, second built on what made the first great, and the 3rd just... failed to capture what made the first two good and changed too much to be enjoyable.
Are you insulting the artistic genius of digging through a giant pile of dino shit to find a cellphone and put it to your face? Is that what you're doing here? Because it feels like that's what you're doing here, and if so then...well yeah, but SPINOSAURAUS!
I've played my fair share of South Park games over the years, and I admit, I genuinely didn't even know this one EXISTED until now. I heard absolutely nothing from the various areas I tend to hang out and chat in, which feels like it says a lot for how much faith the folks behind this had for it. I do enjoy a good Action RPG, even if it can be repetitive, but looking at this game, it genuinely looks like something that would of come out back in the N64 / Game Cube days, at budget price. Which is honestly a shame, as I don't mind some strange artistic choices in my games, so long as the gameplay itself holds up, even if it's a bit grindy. I think this game has many of the ingredients that can make for a great time, but it's missing some key elements to make it truly shine. I can only hope the people behind it learn from this one, and apply it to their next title, to better results. With that all said, nice work with the review, Jirard, looking forward to whatever is up next.
...Not even a South Park fan, but seeing the first trailer made me think this might be a game I could try and get into despite not caring for the series. Then the game came out, and the reviews struck...meh...
Would you consider completing the System Shock remake? It's more than just clearing the game, as there are secrets and missable upgrades. Plus there's an update coming out shortly that will change up the game slightly. It's a wonderful game, faithful update to a classic game, and I feel it deserves some love and attention.
Tiny Tina was awesome. Far from a basic spin off IMO. The D&D elements were different and fun and the setting was creative. Funny too. Miles better than borderlands 3.
I wasn't the most excited when i found out more about this game, and even less when i saw the gameplay. It could just be a standard was set for me from the other two games, and this didn't hit the spot I was hoping for.
How about this for a south park game, a stealth/platformer where a limited edion chinpokomon game is being released and the kids make believe they're ninjas to try and get it first?
Listen guys the games fine. Just because it's not a 9 it's not a 3. The games a 6 and for the price it's fine. I'd like them to go back to rpg but it was good to experiment
Honestly it's better than most people think it is. People are way too entitled anymore it seems. The other 2 were really raunchy and crass for southpark
So the reason why this game isn't a turn-based combat game like the prior to is because one of the creators is really into D&D and turn-based combat and RPGs and he got his two games I don't remember who it was but the other creators like all right it's my turn this was his game he wanted to make a different game because he wasn't into the RPG
