WE"RE GOING TO STURGIS! Well...I am. Saying tough goodbyes to Chelle and Louie in today's video as I pack up my 2023 Harley-Davidson Street Glide I picked up the day before from EagleRider, and hit the road to Sturgis, South Dakota! The largest motorcycle rally in the world happens once a year in Sturgis, but that's not the only reason to head that way. Up in the Black Hills of South Dakota lie some of the greatest mountain roads you can ride. Part way through my 850 mile journey, I link up with @MattLaidlaw and the crew from @laidlawsharley-davidson8789 and head the rest of the way with them! We ride some amazing highways through Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota, and even encounter my first hail storm while riding! It was a cool but painful experience to say the least. Super excited to be filming up in Sturgis the next week and creating some amazing videos for you all, thanks for watching!

Matt Laidlaw of Laidlaw Harley Davidson in Baldwin Park, CA. We have been there many times, we own a 2002 Softail Springer, bought new, we did Sturgis in 2007. Love this adventure!

My husband and I used to ride. We went to a few bike rallies back in the day but never made it to Sturgis. Sturgis from Kentucky is a long haul on a bike, I don't think I could have done it. I have enjoyed this first vlog can't wait to see the whole trip! Thanks for taking us along!

Ive been to South Dakota a couple of times now and seen alot of the stuff to see its so beautiful out there. My husband cousin and wife moved out there a few years ago so we got the side scoop of where to go this year it was amazing. That hail storm was wicked our cousin said

I don't know much about motorcycles. But, that bike you got to ride was beautiful Daniel. And when you mentioned cruise control. I was shocked. 😯 Not what I would think would be on a motorcycle. (nope)
What amazing landscape views you all had on this journey. 🥰🥰 But, I'm going to repeat what I said on an IG post. My legs hurt for you all seeing you sit on those bikes for all those miles. (UGH 😵💫)

For years, our family vacation had us driving through Sturgis enroute to Salt Lake at the same time the bikers were gathering. Loved seeing Harley riders from all over the country. If you haven’t already, make sure to try the freshly made mini donuts at Wall Drug! Our favourite part of visiting Sturgis & soooo good (and I’m not even a donut fan).
Dangit I missed that! I've gotta go back with Chelle, she's a donut fanatic!
First of all Wall Drug, while it is the Black Hills, is not in Sturgis, it is in Wall SD, about 80 miles east on the way to Rapid City.
Daniel I hope you enjoyed the trip. I love the Black Hills. Need to take Chelle with you. Just don’t take her during Sturgs week.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. If you ever want a new adventure come back to Colorado and go to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Granby to Grand Lake, over Trail Ridge and into the park. Then Estes. Colorado is my home and it is beautiful!!

If you ever decide to come to southern Ontario Canada, there is something similar in a small town near me called PD13. Friday 13th Port Dover. Every Friday 13th throughout the year they get together in the small town. During that time there are no cars allowed....only bikes of all shapes and sizes. Check it out online sometime to see what it's like.

Hi, we just got back from Sturgis and I wanted to know what Airbnb you guys rented the Airbnb we rented for Sturgis. Unfortunately it will be occupied for the next two years and next year we’re plan on going back with a little bit more people and I know you said your Airbnb was pretty big, so could you please let me know where you guys rented the Airbnb or the name and how far from Sturgis it was our Airbnb was only 7 miles from Sturgis.
This place was just north of Deadwood and had about 10 beds in it! I’ll see if I can find a listing.

I would love to ride, but my balance is so bad I would need a three wheeler or four wheeler.😃😃😃 I need a cane when walking hills or uneven roads, because of health and old age. Had a motor scooter when younger.

I always find it interesting that thousands flock here every year to ride some of the twistiest roads in the country on... Harleys? I grew up there riding since 12 years old, the Harleys are amazing for cruising, but I feel really held back when I want to lean and start scraping the pipes. It is funny blowing past all the Harley guys on a dirt bike with less than half to power though. I like to be a douche bag to keep people from moving here lol.

I'd love a Harley Davison but a trike version as I don't have balance on a motorcycle I can ride a push bike ok. Harley are my favourite bike of all time.
