one time i saw a street performer playing a guitar with an amazing skill level, it was not even rock, it was just calming music made in a way that showed off his amazing skill, it was unbelievable. then this one lady called the police for him disturbing her child by sa'ing it in front of an audience, the police came, the crowd showed recordings of him telling the child to not touch his stuff, the child went back to the karen and nothing more happened

As an “essential worker” who spent all this time trapped at customer service, I can say pretty certainly that some Karens never Hibernated. They just called the store and kept me on the line for 40 minutes on end.
Bridge , I don’t know you company policies, but I used to work in a callcenter/helpdesk at a public office. And something important I learned is that if you are being verbally abused, you can hang up, if you are genuinely uncomfortable, you can hang up. You are a human being and don’t have to put up with that. But if they are simply chatting your ear off about ramblings, that’s a different story. Either way, I feel your pain.
That’s actually a stance called the “F*ck-all-of-you! I think it's the fact that they think there's so much power in not caring what others think that brings them to the conclusion that they should go against the overwhelming majority, no matter how wrong they are in reality. They lack the self-reflection to see themselves in the wrong and lack the humility to acknowledge the existence of everyone else, and try to make up for their flaws by pretending to be brave or unyielding or whatever.
I fucking hate people like this, who lack the empathy and compassion to see the world from any perspective but the one they're used to. In a perfect world they would grow the fuck up and have some shame.
