I love your techniques! I started decoupaging about a year ago & recently used wood slices but love the idea of ironing the napkins, etc. I need to do some shopping! Thanks so much for the creative ideas! I’m now a subscriber 😊
Welcome to my channel and thank you.
Here is another video using the same technique you might like.

I’m glad I stumbled over this video. I’m teaching a class at my local senior center later this month. The theme is ornaments. I’ve already designed 2 samples, one is using Santa stickers and one is using glitter paper die cut snowflakes. I need to keep them simple and you’ve given me a number of ideas! Thank you!
They will have so much fun making them. They are so easy to do. I hope they work well for you.
May I suggest using pipe cleaners and old buttons to make mini trees? Those are fairly simple to construct, it's an easy concept, and older people are more likely to have kept old buttons around.

Wow, I total enjoyed your tutorial and love the idea of drying the mod podge first then ironing on the design! Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank you so much! You also might like this video I use the same technique.

I can't wait to dig out my wood slices and try this! Thanks!
Be sure to watch the updated video that comes out on Thursday. A viewer wanted me to try window clings. So check it out if you have time to see how that worked out.

Thanks so much!
So cute and AWESOME TUTORIAL!! Thank you - I am definitely trying these! So much better than the wet technique! 🥰 ❤️ 🥰
You are so welcome!
So cute, can't wait to try!
Have fun!
I love these, I'd been painting them and using vinyl (dog prints and their names). I avoided the hole in the wood slice by using tiny screw-in eye hooks, it helps a lot!
They are so fast to make when you use vinyl. I love the idea of a screw eye..
You made this super easy for me, it’s great!
Thank you so much!
Nice and cute!
Thank you.
Thank you. I am happy finding your channel. I wanted to paint my slice and wow you done one with paint.

I’m so glad your video popped up. I just bought some of the wood ornament blanks. Your video is awesome. Thank you. I love the dry method too. It’s so much easier and less messy.
❤🎄⛄️Merry Christmas

Super cute ornaments and they couldn't be easier! Thanks for sharing your talent with us! (P.S. I had a nostalgic moment when I first heard your voice - you sound just like my relatives in Wisconsin and I love it!)

Hi new to your channel! But enjoying your tutorial! Believe it or not, last night in bed I thought about doing this!! Honest!! But my wood pieces are 3” and I used my die of 3” and cut out a piece of Christmas paper and glued with glue stick!! They came out great!!

I just found your channel and loved these. Have you ever used photos and if so do you have a video? Then another question is where did you get your multi purpose tool, threader and glue bottle from? Thank you for sharing your ideas

What's that round tool you're using to dip in your distressing ink? It really is much neater using the ModPodge and drying it, then pressing your whatever you're using to cover it. I am going to make some of these! Thanks for keeping it simple. 💗👍
I think you are talking about ink blenders. Here is a link for them.

@@creativelyjean
Will the tool come with the ink?
@@NordicaTundra No you need to bye the ink separate. Here is a link to the walnut stain I used. The Red one was a old ink I had in my stash, but any dark red will do. amzn.to/3S9SqEP
So adorable! Love them.❤
@creativelyjean thanks so much!! That's exactly what I was asking about. I enjoy watching your tutorials because I appreciate you gearing your instruction for beginners. Thanks again. 😊 💗
Thanks for thinking of us beginners!
You are welcome. Always feel free to ask question and if there is anything you would like to see me do just ask.
Hi there. Just love the ornaments, especially Jack. Would this work on a black painted circle and then the white vinyl? Where did you find the svg for Jack? Thank you!
Yes you can paint it black instead of vinyl. I got Jack from cricut design space.
Such cute ideas ❤❤ New subscriber
Welcome!!
I’ve been doing crafts for a few years and I still consider myself a beginner because I’m always learning! Where did you get your Santa rub ons? And Santa napkin.
Those Santa's I had in my for awhile so not sure where they came from, but if you go on Amazon and type in Christmas rub -ons they have some.
Just found this and find it really useful. Thank you. Just wondering what the tool is you used to thread your ribbon through that little hole!
Thank you.
Here is a link to a ribbon threader.

I love these ideas they are great thank you so much for posting this. Can you use the "dry method" and the mini heat press when just regular Christmas wrapping paper as well?
Wrapping paper will work well also.
@@creativelyjean Thank you so much 😊
You are welcome. Have fun.@@Tina-B...
i love to make these at our community centre, is it just the normal modge podge? I see so many different ones, not sure which would work? with napkins
I use the matte finish.
Very informative! Does the fabric fray when you cut it?
I did not have any problems with fraying. If you have a fabric that frays easily you can add mod podge on top the fabric.
So cute
Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this! Would this mod podge and iron-on method work with rice paper as well?
I have never tried rice paper, but I think it would just be sure to put parchment paper between the rice paper and iron.
@creativelyjean okay, maybe I'll give it a try! I have a lot of wood slices left over from last year and a lot of Christmas rice paper from when I did some decoupage in Mason jars.
@@trishscreativecrafts Let me know how it works.
Absolutely Stunning!!!! Where did you purchase the rub on stickers and the tool you use to pull the ribbon through?💞💞💞💞
Thank you.

The rub on stickers I used for the video I had for years, but you can get some from www.scrapbook.com/?login=1 also Amazon just be careful with Amazon so of them are for home decor, so they are large.
Nice
Thanks
Is there a link where you can buy assorted napkins for this project? Love these!
Most of my napkins are from my stash of many years of collecting. I can find them at grocery stores, dollar stores, party stores, walmart. I look for napkins where ever I shop. Temu has napkins. The only link I can give you is the one I got off Amazon.

Great ideas, thank u love it, thank u for all u do really enjoy your projects, can u ink on material
Thank you so much. Yes you can ink on them, just be sure to do it after you mod podge your final coat.
Your projects are wonderful !! You sure are talented 🎄So kind of you to share your skills ❤
@@sharonroth8568 Thank you so much!
There are so many types of Mod Podge! What kind should I use for this project? Gloss? Luster? Matte? Satin?
I used the matte.
Thanks!
Could you sprinkle glitter on the second modge podge??
Yes you could or you can use the sparkle mod podge. I have a new video coming out November 30th where I make more of these ornaments and I use the sparkle mod podge.
Puttìng a photograph on wood
Yes you can. The process is different. I plan on during a video, but it will not be before Christmas.
What is the tool you are using to pull your ribbon through?
It's a ribbon threader-
amzn.to/3Rihp86
Where can find this mini tool to pass from the holes??
I believe you are talking about the bead threader. Here is a link.
amzn.to/3M73XAY
how quick do you put on top coat of mod podge😊
You can put it on right away or wait if you are doing a lot.
Can you mod podge on top of the distress ink? TIA
I did try hat, just make sure the ink has dried really well. I let mine dry over night and then added the mod podge.
Where did you purchase napkin with houses on?
Here is a link to the napkin I used.

Would this also work with photo paper? Thanks.
I will be do a video on applying photos soon, there are a couple ways to do it.
What kind of mod podge did you use
I use the matte.
Where would i find the rub ons?
The rub on stickers I used for the video I had for years, but you can get some from www.scrapbook.com/?login=1 also Amazon just be careful with Amazon some of them are for home decor, so they are large. I plan on doing an updated video I had so much interest in this video so I thought I wood answer some of the questions I got since this video came out a year ago.
Also, if you paint white before you decopauge, your colors on whatever you're decopauging are so much more vibrant in the end ❤
Yes I have done that also, but sometimes I want the distressed look.
Can u using wrapping paper the same way ty
Yes you can.
@@creativelyjean thank u , Jean
Why did you use fabric???
To show that you can use fabric if you do not have napkins.
