In 1986 I became hooked on the Smithereens, when I heard behind the wall of sleep. It has been played in my house and car, well over a thousand times. Great band, decent and sincere members. Sleep well Pat. You made a difference.
The Smithereens were great. This was a fine transition from their biggest hit via UA-cam. If only we were all known for one small moment of greatness like these guys were.
It's so good it's freaky, I love this band. This song especially brings back some great memories. We used to blast this band inner tubing down the lower Salt River near Mesa Arizona. Fun times. The best.
"Smithereens" This is great!!!!!!!! Sound greater than any concert! Guy's stay healthy and stay alive artistically. Peace to you all. Jersey! So glad I found this vid. You are one of the best!. You are one of the few Greats!
I heard Pat just died, that really sucks. Anyone know why he let himself go like this? I could not believe how much weight he gained, why? Look at him here, WTF? Something serious was going on in his head mentally and now it seems it's killed him and please don't give me this "he got older" crap, I'm the same age as him and never got like that. Mick Jagger is is 10 years older and never got like that. What happened with Pat? Depression?
Physical Illness (A form of ALS if you MUST know) is what killed him, Einstein. He happened to be a Good Friend and one of the Nicest People on the Planet, so STFU.
One of the greatest and terribly underated bands of the 80s. RIP Pat!

I recall a "house" band playing this, and more, in 1994 while visiting in New Bedford, MA, for a great aunt in a nursing home. Music lives on.

Kenny Howes.
What happened to Mike Mesaros (sp)?
Great band that could never hit it big with record sales. They look like they were having fun here but why are these guys playing a BBQ??
It's their BBQ.
It was Pat DiNizio's House, the Lead Singer.
He used to throw BBQ's for his fans every year.

Thyroid problems I believe. ???
Medication is what happened to him, try getting a life, so you won't have to be consumed with others!!! Professor, stick that in your book!!!
Physical Illness (A form of ALS if you MUST know) is what killed him, Einstein.
He happened to be a Good Friend and one of the Nicest People on the Planet, so STFU.
That can’t be Pat .
It’s probably the guy that ate Pat.
RIP Pat!
