This clip, when I watched the documentary, absolutely floored me. I never considered Jack White to be anybody in my landscape of musicians. He did this and I was like “Oh, I like you, my friend!”
It was a stupid child's trick, like wrapping a wire around a nail, running a current through the wire to turn the nail into a magnet. BIG WHOOP! over nothing, but that's the case with his shitty music as well, isn't it?
"Gibson Custom Shop is releasing a Jack White signature model Diddley Bow. Their best luthiers have taken this version apart and meticulously copied each part in perfect detail, right down to the wood grain, level of dirt on the wood, the brand of electrical tape, type of wire, coke bottle, nail rust, etc. They acquired the actual hammer Jack used in this video to craft each instrument. They analyzed this video using the latest software to exactly reproduce the force and velocity and number of hammer blows. They sought out the actual cows and their manure and brought them into the custom shop to have them watch each instrument being skillfullycrafted. Each of the 50 limited edition models will be signed by Jack. MSRP $185,000 - which includes a potato sack gig bag, a DVD documentary on the planning and production of the Bows, and 8 * 10 framed photo of each cow."

Jack White is the breath of fresh air that the guitar as an instrument has been in dire need of for many years. his creativity and boldness in his approach to playing hasn't been seen for a very long time. +ameerhamid89 Yeah, the electric part of the guitar isn't easy to substitute, but the cool concepts behind the acoustic guitar are present: a sound box (soda bottle), the sound board, and the string. Hell, might as well be a bad-ass Bill Nye.

the amp is actually more important tone-wise. So you could play a single pickup on a plank of wood, coke bottle, nails and string with a slide, but the amp has to be good. It makes sense.
When I first got a guitar, I didn't have an amp. But I modded an old stereo to have an input. Sounded like crap, but it was all I had, and I sure did enjoy it.
This was actually not a guitar build but a beginning of his sitar build in India as you noticed the sacred cows . He builds and distributes free of charge these wonderful sitars under the brand name 3 turbin axe sitars. He may be the closest thing to Jesus ,mankind will have the good fortune of having here on earth.
You still put in a pickup and connected it to an amplifier. Am I missing that this is impressive? You bypassed the resonant body and the fret board. Woop-t-doo.

This is SO Classic Jack White!
"Who says you need to buy a guitar? The amp, on the other hand..."
don't mind the Silvertone Twin Twelve in the background...
Just use a magnet and a coiled wire attached to a piece of wood hung by fishing wire. Simple.
*pats head* YOU'LL be buying the amp:)
the amp, preamp, the pickup, the 1/4" jack, the bottle slide,,,,
@@goldgazebo9196that pickup alone, which seems to be a vintage telecaster pickup, would be enough to buy an entry level guitar...

So so good 👌🏻 🤣
No, the gig bag would be sold separately
You could have made a joke just as stupid with WAY less words.
Sure you can be cool, but you'll never be Jack White builds his own guitar cool.
Look how he's dressed. Look at the clothes he spent probably way too much money on. This is not a cool man.
The Willy wonka of music. Dude is definitely a underrated guitarist
😂😂 because he is nothing special as a guitarist…

That sound is so tight I love it 😮💨
The shot where he puts the bottle in place is satisfying on an emotional level
guitar $8
amp $800
He probably got the amp for like $40
the real musician, he has a music in his body, soul n mind
This has gotta be the clearest 240p video I've ever seen lol
Man knows his stuff!
I love this human so much.
was that an open tuning he was using?
Open A most likely
Pinball C# actually lol
How rustic and grass roots of him. The cows really add to the authenticity of the moment
Absolutely high quality
jack white is one the most underrated guitarists!
@navysealblackwater underrated in he's not mentioned with the greats enough

Who the fuck dislikes this?
+Jaisun Chucta hahaha true
the ones who actually bought guitar?!

Upload this on HD, its 2024...
I love how at one point of the documentary he says he was just there to steal the other guitarists’ secrets
Kids this is what a true musical artist looks like…….
What is that on top of the Silvertone making all that overdrive?
Not anymore he's top 10 all time saw him live in Salt Lake City and seeing him live was life changing & no cell phones
woodprix includes very useful plans with all details I need
Thank you so much for that tip Shanta !
That was amazing
Can you imagine having a guitar jack made that would be awesome
I looked up jack white cheap guitar and did not expect this.
Jus wondering, where's the guitar pic come from?

It's a Diddley bow, not a guitar.

MrPlasterbrick exactly.

Why would you buy an amp before a guitar?
the amp is actually more important tone-wise. So you could play a single pickup on a plank of wood, coke bottle, nails and string with a slide, but the amp has to be good. It makes sense.
Yeah... The tone is mainly came from the hands, and the amp. You can plug in a cheap guitar to a proper amp and it will still blow your mind.

240p on this video? seriously?
When you install the pick up AFTER you string it? It might just be a POS.
My favorite part are the cows.

why is there cattle?
Pretty sure that's his farm.
