  • HAPPY FRIDAY SHINING STARS!
    Welcome to My Channel! It's ALL Love & Peace over here!
    Today, I am sharing something that I haven't prepared very much, Oven Smothered Turkey Necks. Since I use Beefy Onion Soup in my pork neckbones, I decided to use the regular onion soup for these. AND, it actually came out good!
    Thanks for watching! MUCH Love!!!

    The only thing that I would suggest is that you add some type of fat back to the turkey necks so that they don't dry out (i.e. bacon grease, butter, or oil)! They also have Better Than Bouillon in the Turkey flavor! Are you going to add a gravy to the neckbones? At almost the end of the cooking make up a slurry with flour, corn starch, or your roux powder with water pour it in around the rim of your pan and try to mix everything all up together and let in cook a little bit longer maybe 30 minutes without a cover and should crisp up like you want it and you'll still have a little gravy for rice or potatoes! Hope this helps! My mother cooked baked turkey parts and rice all the time when we were growing up! 🤔🤨🧐😉😋✌️❤🙏

      Hi! That's exactly what I did. I sometimes use the dried flour roux, too. Thanks for the tip to add a little oil. A little won't hurt, right? I appreciate your input. I hardly EVER cook these, but they were actually Good! I'll use your suggestion next time. MUCH Love!

    Have you tried the slow cooker? My male friend swears by it. I normally cook it on the stove. I came across your video because I am cooking the smoked one for the first time since they didn't have regular necks in the store. I adore your personality. Thank you!

      Hi! I don't cook turkey necks often. But, I am going to try them in the slow cooker. We were cooking gumbo in the kitchen at church. One of our members bought some smoked turkey necks to add to it. That flavor set that gumbo OFF!
      It's ALL love over here. Thanks for your kind words! MUCH Love!

    Yes i love a little dry texture on my baked turkey wings & necks, most people dislike turkey wings because that thick skin be slimy😅😅

    • @mannysmom
      @mannysmom  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi! Yes! I have found that if you soak it in vinegars and rub them with lemon, it will remove that slimy texture off. I hardly eve cook turkey necks, but it is healthy meat. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!

    I like some baked food's but I also like using my slow cooker, either way the meat falls right off the bone.

    • @mannysmom
      @mannysmom  Рік тому

      Yes, it does. I just like my meat dried out, lke the skin roasted. That's the reason that I prefer to put mine in the oven. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
