I've played in a few bands here in San Diego - Hard Echo - for more then 10 years - Bastard Saints & Sons of Vengeance - and everyone asked me how I'd learn to play the guitar. Well - I let them know that I bought the Metal Method tapes back when I was 17 & that did it for me. It showed me the pentatonic scale for soloing and how versatile it is - and I've been playing ever since! Thanks Doug & Hawk!

This is so cool!! I learned to play by buying the original cassettes of Metal Method. I wound up making a living teaching guitar for 26 years. It was a joy seeing Doug & his band Hawk on video live. I never got a chance to meet him or see the band live, but this brought back some very fond memories. Thanks Doug for allowing me to play guitar & make a living at it for over a quarter of a century.

@StyleyFreaky - many bands change lineups in their early stages. Hawk had different vocalist when the album was recorded, this show is a year later with a different band and singer. In the 80's changing band members happened almost on a weekly basis for some bands!

Thanks. A lot of people are teaching songs note for note on UA-cam but not legally. When I did the Classic Metal Note for Note series it was legal. I paid for the rights to do it. It was before groups learned how to say no. Now it's very difficult to get the rights to teach popular songs legally.

She wonder why I left, needed to know why. I said I can't deal with this cause love is just a lie. I got my dreams and though it seems you'd be there 'til the end. My guitar will take me far, cause it's my only friend. You know love's feeling never lasts. Soon it's lost in the past. You know love's feeling never never lasts. Love like always fades so fast. She said she needed me and then I heard here sigh. Love has changed the way I feel, love has made me cry. She said I never had this feeling in my life. Touches deep within my soul, it cuts me like a knife. You know love's feeling never lasts. Soon it's lost in the past. You know love's feeling never lasts. Love like always fades so fast.
