Love that black drum! Nice size too! No need to freeze though, cooking kills everything. It is a delicious fish and hope to see you catch more. Be careful with your rods too, take a couple of cheap bungee cords with you and strap them. I've seen too many rods take a ride over the rails because they weren't paying attention. A lot of fish have worms, people just don't know it!
Great job not only do I like seeing you catch big fish..... I love that it's coming out of my back door.... I love watching my local spots produceing.... Because I haven't been able to Fish much lately.!! Keep the 🔥 Content coming my guy!!! #Tightlines
hey first state! i meet you a couple weeks ago at the Mexican restaurant, the little island at the end of that bridge used to be public accessible and we used to catch trout of the rocky beach.
That was a great catch 🎣 the best part was you wheeling away with your one leg wheeler with the 🐟 sticking out the front!!!! LoL …Take’n your prize home 🙏🏼
Pretty much most fish you buy have had worms at some point, the seafood markets will tell you that! fishmongers see it all the time. you've probably eaten plenty without knowing because cooking kills em. Freezing also kills them. Vacuum sealing I've found can yoink them all out of the meat sometimes. They are harmless when cooked for freshwater and MOST kinda you find in black drum, redfish, and sea trout are harmless. Just something I had to get used to down in florida. Big black drum tend to be loaded with them but the small ones are usually fine. All super tasty though! I rarely harvest the big ones but they still taste good and when money is tight sometimes you need to harvest something. Those giant black drum have lived for decades as they don't grow super fast so better to let em go to make more small drum for the plate!
You can cast net in the parking lot canals at Nassau Sound for finger mullet. Love me some "Puppy Drum" which is what I was raised calling adolescent black drum
nice vid! that guy telling you he stuffs fish with crabmeat gave me an idea: what if whenever you fish on a pier/public place you ask a random person how they would cook that fish, and then you do it that exact way? keep up the great content!
I don't have an Instagram but this summer you should take a trip up to Virginia Beach and fish the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for some of the best sheepshead fishing from the yak. Would love to link up!
I love to fish. Good company can be a plus. I enjoy fishing from a boat the most, less bugs, soil, mud, grass, and things that might make you itchi love eating what i catch.
Definitely good to branch out- I've been trying across all the platforms myself to try and increase my reach but it takes time. That's one hell of a catch though, definitely want to try my hand at catching a good Drum or Sheepshead next time I'm over in the states. As ever, great vids and Tight lines mate.
Amazing fish but I wanted to tell you about a pier that I go fishing at all the time you probably know of it it’s called the Sky Way fishing pier in St Pete, Florida it is an amazing place to fish. You probably won’t see this but I just wanted to tell you about an amazing spot for all kinds of fish big and small
@FirstStateFishing I never have but some of the ones I've caught have some decent meat on them. Maybe a video idea next time you are back in Delaware. Thanks for the content my dude. Loving the catch and cook videos.
Last summer I went surf fishing with my uncle and he caught a keeper flounder and a whiting, but the first fish I caught was a keeper pompano and it was the the best fish that ever hit my tastebuds
you are half as popular as the big name fishing youtubers. when I watch your videos it's like I am watching a guy with 10k subs. You have the audience, you need to step up your game. I love your content, but there is so so much more waiting for you. You need to take initiative, you are popular and talented and genuine.
He is genuine to who he is, instead of begging for subs. Instead of just going for "catching monsters" every 30 seconds, he portrays true fishing. The community is supporting him based on his portrayal of reality. Clearly based on him being real it is able to to sustain his passion and his family.
What's the point in even bringing up the worms? This type of shit perpetuates the ignorance on the subject. A vast majority of fish will have these worms and they're literally harmless to humans and become so especially when the fish is cooked. These anti drum worm clowns are just out there wasting good food for their families. Wait til they find out about bass 🥴
What is your favorite way to fish? 🎣🤔Boat? Pier? Wading? Kayak? Static Seasoning: www.staticseasoning.com
I think wading is my favorite tbh.. hopefully we’ll get to do some soon!
Mine is on a boat because the ride is fun
Mine is this bridge that you went to so thanks for coming here
Nice job catching the drum Mike! They are definitely good eating fish!

Florida, where they make dedicated fishing bridges. Here in NC they would have repurposed that bridge for toll express lanes.
There is one bridge like that here in North Carolina it's in the outer Banks

Which bridges do you like to fish when in the keys?
i want to see a video, where you try catch some fish with chicken liver, or chicken heart :)
What bridge was that
Last summer I went surf fishing with my uncle and he caught a keeper flounder and a whiting, but the first fish I caught was a keeper pompano and it was the the best fish that ever hit my tastebuds
Try using lures for saltwater!!!!!!
That’s the George crady bridge
Have u tried using shrimp??
Are you in Jax ?!
Is that Nassau sound??
Question fam what happen to your foot. You’ve been hurt for a while. Are u good?
use your mud minnows at the bridge
The ones that have worms mostly are the ones that are over 20 inches
When did you catch the beast?
I was there like 2 weeks ago, and I didn't get a single bite in 3 hours 😔
do a survival fishing live streaam. a two part episode. the day of, the morning after.
Next time you get something big like that. Have someone pull your lineup or have someone drop a net down
I would use minnows
If you ever come to, Cali hit me up
Where at in CA? Might be there at some point in the near future
com to San Diego I catch rock fish and Corbin's off the rocks

Your supposed to check for worms under a light.
Buy some line, if you have a big one, you will loose all of it.
