I almost exclusively catch all my bait with a cast net or sand flea rake. Match the hatch, as they say. Keep practicing with the cast net. Thanks for sharing.

You fold a bit over the net itself in your hand, then put a bit between the sinkers on your net in your mouth, just release all at once and don’t actually bite down haha! It 100% helps to get the “full moon “ open throws !

You could try cat hing bait from rock pools. I catch huge shrimp from them. And smaller bait fish, octopus ect.
