- Skillet Chocolate Cookie is an amazing irresistible dessert in form of a giant chocolate chip cookie that is easy and quick to prepare perfect for any occasion. It is served warm, with ice cream on top and is simply divine.

Ingredients
Makes about 8 servings
1/2 cup (113g) butter
1/4 cup (50g) sugar
1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups (190g) flour
3/4 tsp (4.5g) baking soda
1/2 tsp (3g) salt
1 cup (160g) chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C.). In a 9 -10 inch cast iron skillet melt butter over low heat.
2. Remove from heat and add sugar and light brown sugar. If necessary let it cool slightly before adding the egg.
3. Stir in egg and vanilla extract. Incorporate dry ingredients, salt, baking soda and flour.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks and spread the batter evenly in the skillet.
5. Bake for 20 minutes until slightly golden.
6. Serve warm with ice cream on top.

Perfect recipe. Only thing I did different was refrigerated the dough in the skillet for a few hours before baking. Phenomenal texture out of this world just like a cookie. Great recipe!

You can use a heavy dutty casserole or a pyrex pan.

Guys, you don't have to use a cast iron skillet. Use any mold/pan you have just make sure it's the same size she specifies here. You can even use a pie pan, a pyrex as someone else said and you can even use a square pan too and make sure you line it with parchment paper or grease and maybe flour the pan you use to prevent sticking, I don't know if it'll actually stick or not if not using cast iron but just in case. :)
I did this on a regular bowl and then cooked it on a cheesecake pan. Loved it, super easy and delicious

I Prepared batter in Fry pan.. but baked in separate baking round tray with oil paper . But same size as mentioned.. it came perfect

I made this with a normal pan and it worked fine. It tasted delicious and looked awesome. And I cooked it on the stove.

I always use this recipe and it turns outstanding and yummy... Same taste as pizza hut hershey's cookie. Do try guys but follow the instructions.. Eggs will scramble when u put the egg before cooling down the butter n sugar mixture... I made it today also as my kids love it 😋😋😋😋..

Thank you for this recipe! Made it today for the first time and it was so good! In my case however, I used a springform pan since we didn't have a cast iron skillet. I might need to adjust the baking time for future attempts because the top got a wee bit too brown at around the 18 minute mark. But it still tastes good! A cookie is a cookie 😁
