Thank you for this honest and practical look at full time living in a caravan. I'm thinking of doing it myself and your video highlights the difficulties. All the best to you.😊
We wish we had similar videos when we were starting, back then there was such a hype for vanlife, all creators pictured it like living a dream... We feel obliged to show both sides of the coin. Still never looked back and do not intent to go back to living in a house.Good luck, hope you will give it a go. Kat
We lived in our campingcar for 5 years and coped very well. You have the right attitude to this life and like you we managed with much less stuff and utililised the space available. All public facilities on sites were welcome and used by us as often as possible. Your video is excellent because it doesnt glamorise the life whilst showing the best sides of such living; for us that meant moving from place to beautiful place - occasionally not so beautiful but practical - and experiencing new horizons, making new friends and generally being free. Well done.
You are actually living my dream! I absolutely love your videos & your total honesty. You have totally inspired me. Hard work & the cold doesn't bother me, I just love the peace! 💖
Hi, so lovely to hear from you. 5 years on, we are still living on wheels and never looked back. Well, we can't believe how lucky we are to have chosen this way of living. We are not bothered by issues which krep many of our friends awake at night right now. If that's your call too, go for it! Kat
Good morning I think that living in a caravan is a good option for people who want to be close to nature and also like to travel and spend time in the caravan for me the problem would probably be to keep order in the caravan but I would probably learn greetings and have a nice weekend
Will do Tony! It's a real joy to reach people who are genuinely interested :-) Our life has started the day we took a leap of faith and startrd to live on wheels, first in a motorhome, on the move, then in a caravan, marrying up earning a living and having time and resources to travel. Thank you for watching!
You got that right! Despite of challenges, this lifestyle gives you heaps of freedom and choices. If you can live out of the suitcase... sky is the limit! Kat
Hi, we managed somehow! We even made a video about it ;-) ua-cam.com/video/IIsAIhYyjpc/v-deo.html Hope you will find it helpful. Thank you for watching our videos and good luck! Kat
Have you considered vacuum bags for your clothes and keep them underneath a bunk? Just found your channel and I love it, you’re very entertaining! We have a small caravan and although we don’t live in it when we had our bathroom refitted we used the shower in the caravan on the drive for a few months, we just doubled up on shower curtains and opened the roof whilst showering to prevent excessive moisture. 😇
Hi, how lovely to hear from you :-) I've been called many different things, but rarely entertaining 😁😁😁 Vacuum bags are nice for stuff like bedding and blankets, not sure about storing clothes in them, but may try :-) Thank you for watching, hope you will enjoy other videos too!
Good evening, I really admire your life style and enthusiasm on full time caravan living. I have wanted to do the same for many years and have now just bought a 5 birth touring caravan , the end of April 2023 I am about to live my life’s ambition and will be living full time in my tourer and selling my house and everything to follow my dream and absolutely cannot wait, you have a sense of freedom and choose your location at any time waking up to a lovely scenery of your choice. I really do not care what so ever what others may think of me what I am doing as it is my dream and I am going to live it. You are doing what you enjoy and live life the the fullest that makes you happy each day . 🤝😊
Dear Glynn, thank you for popping in and writing such a lovely message. It's fantastic you are following your call and we both wish you all the best on your new path of adventure! Keep us posted. Kat and Marek :-)
Love your honesty ! We are not full time yet in our motorhome and so looking forward to buying a caravan . We are looking forward to the space . The worst thing about a home on wheels for us is definitely the loo 🚽. And yes Hubbies job to empty 😂😂😂
Hi, well I think the worst thing is not even emptying the cassette, but the fact that it is a limitation. When we were wild camping in a motorhome in France, Spain and Germany, it was easy to find aires to empty the casette... it may be tricky in the UK, unless you stop on a caravan site, but that adds up £££££ very quickly on a longer trip. Anyway, have you seen our last video showing our hack how to deep clean toilet casette? Thanks for watching and leaving a comment :-) / K
Hello again great vid I love all these chat vids and you explain thing so well but it still don't put me off lol 😂😂 but hope your all ok we went camping the weekend and was planning on a vid but had another incident camp site was amazing but I wasn't in the mood and my anxiety depression and mental health went through the roof but I have enjoyed the vids all the best take care
It is not all doom and gloom, of course we still love living in a caravan, more details in our video about pros and cons of living on a campsite: ua-cam.com/video/uZHpf_NxbTE/v-deo.htmlsi=Li8682S-iwxMyjqX
How much are your site fees and could you not get a couple of solar panels to get the extra electricity to get a microwave or something else, love your vids by the way, would you not maybe look at getting a static for the extra space and other things that would make living so much easier......
Hi, it varies from site to site. Dspends of campsite type of license (if it is residential park or not) and local council regulations. On most campsites limit is 28 days in one row.
Hi :-) We simply don't keep anything valuable in the awning, maybe the dishwasher, but it is a bit bulky and heavy to knick 🤪🤪🤪Besides, we've never heard of anything being taken from the awning on our site, so we are not worried. You can't really secure your awning much, as it is a fabric tent really. Even if you secure all zips and openings a sharp knife will do to get in. Hope that helps ;-)
Great! Go for it, see our latest video if you are interested in getting a campsite or a touring site job, we packed a lot of useful tips there ua-cam.com/video/ri48cPI_ZvQ/v-deo.html Good luck! Kat

What is the maximum size stool can these toilets accommodate?

Hello, thank you for reaching out! These are all valid points! Site fees in our area range between 3-4k a year :-) Kat
nice informative video. How long can you stay on the site please?

Do you worry about security in your annexe? How do you secure it if you need to go away for some reason?

Is the awning noisy in high winds ?
