That first level especially was like, "The runner enters the room, fires two bullets at this one specific spot on the wall, turns counterclockwise four times, removes his left shoe, sneezes into this fountain, yells something obscene in Swedish, and now both targets are dead."
I have only ever managed to get silent assassin (not suit only, just silent assassin) ONCE, and the level still took 36 minutes. I had to try for multiple days once I decided I wanted to do it. Hitman is quite hard, but such a fun experience to improve at
"This saves anywhere from a few milliseconds to a second each time you do it" The lengths to which speedrunners go to optimize their runs is insane to me.
There have been games where I speed run where I try to increase my times by 0.001 seconds, surprisingly once you do a lot of speedruns you actually have a LOT of control over your times and a single second feels even longer than a second because of how accurately you can time things. Muscle memory is a crazy thing.
honestly its pretty fun to just click 1 and g over and over on your keyboard to the point where even outside of speedruns I do it just because its fun, fast interact is so fun and easy not doing it is hard for people (me)
Hey Mr Tomato, just wanted to let you know I really appreciate the "no feeling is final" message you put in every video. I'm doing well these days but there have been times where hearing that has really meant a lot. So think you! (Also great video! I love hearing you talk through these really fast runs.)
I find it amusing that in the world of assassination universe, 47 executes every ICA agent with barely any effort and time and just dips on a moped with pizza in the back that he probably ate

funny how killing the guard at the end of Mendoza keeps your silent assassin rating since on Sapienza, they removed the car exit (on some missions only? probably an ET) because some people would fail the mission because 47 can drive over a NPC during the cutscene.

As someone who has been to the emergency room for anxiety 6 times in the past month, hearing your message at 21:00 gave me a lot of hope. I randomly clicked on this video for something to get my thoughts off my anxiety and I heard the exact message I needed to hear. Thank you so much. Mental health stuff aside, this run is fucking nuts, I appreciate you explaining it because there are so many layers that even some seasoned Hitman players have no idea what's going on 😂😂
There's a game you may find value in: "adventures with anxiety". It made an impact on me. I recommend manlybad***hero's video on, but the game itself (and especially the good endings) is the important part. *Commenting again because the first one wouldn't show
You should make a version of these long videos about really short speed runs that just overlays all of the explanations whenever they arise regardless of if the last explanation has ended. It could be a cool way of showing how dense this stuff gets and make for a good video to use whenever I wanna jumpscare people in voice calls
Ayo, I just wanted to thank you for these small "mental health mentions" you put in seemingly every video. I've been in therapy for over 20 years now and I still got problems, I seem to be a severe case. But you're one of very few people, if not the only person, who isn't "unnecessarily positive" or anything, you somehow just choose the right words. Since I'm such a severe case, most "mental health mentions" rather just annoy me, too cheerful, toxic positivity, plain wrong statements, etc - but you're doing it right. I've seen so many things concerning mental health and you're most likely the only one who has never "made any mistakes", so to say. And that's what I'm very thankful for, since you might even get through to some severe cases and probably even stop them from ending it. For this I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I say this every video, but the moments in your videos to address mental health is extremely cool of you to do. I've seen no other content creator do this.
I cannot put into words how much your speedrun breakdown, analysis, and commentary means to me and the greater community. Please keep doing what you're doing, and I am always looking forward to the next video
Just went to see the current wr, turns out moodehh has set a new record at 5 min 32 seconds, taking housens first place. Just amazing! P.s. thank you for your message about how feeling overwhelmed is not a constant and that it will pass. Hearing it now puts things into perspective. I will try to not forget that!
This is my first time watching you. I am in a really bad state rn. (Fiancé betrayal, stagnant academics, poor health, etc). I have been laying on bed binging YT. I watch all these no matter the game or genre just because I am enamored. I could never do the any% glitched run. The skill and dedication to do some of the warps or punches is beyond me. Took me 2 weeks to master my fallout NV melee block jump
The anus of tomatoes uploads a video. I click, quickly. In all seriousness, as someone who lives speedrunning, I always appreciate your uploads. Some people might think your mental health stuff is cheesy, but I’ve had terrible mental health before and having that sort of message would’ve helped.
holy shit dude it’s been years since i’ve seen your channel but that name is unmistakable. first video of yours i watched was the mama murphy OD speedrun. seems some things never change edit: also gunflashing works because the NPCs don’t spot you firing the shot, but notice the bullet impacts, which triggers “panic mode”. how it works is it lures guard NPCs to the shot while also narrowing their focus to that. as long as they don’t see you doing anything explicitly illegal like attacking someone they’ll ignore basically everything else like trespassing or holding a weapon and focus on “finding” the shooter by going to the location of the shot, or if they’re a civilian they’ll run away and also ignore most illegal actions. it’s an engine quirk that speedrunners have been using for awhile now, i think i remember some runs in blood money using the exact same tactic.

I uh... didnt expect that message at 20:48 but I needed to hear that
Thanks tomato
I watch all these no matter the game or genre just because I am enamored. I could never do the any% glitched run. The skill and dedication to do some of the warps or punches is beyond me. Took me 2 weeks to master my fallout NV melee block jump
Thanks for this talking about mental health and that everything will be fine it made me smile... Have a good day/night bro
16:00 i can't say i expected a kenny chesney reference in this video. lmao
Incredible. I was proud of myself for just completing the game
The anus of tomatoes uploads a video. I click, quickly.
In all seriousness, as someone who lives speedrunning, I always appreciate your uploads. Some people might think your mental health stuff is cheesy, but I’ve had terrible mental health before and having that sort of message would’ve helped.
Thank you for the cheer up been going through a very hard time in my life and everything seems bad. Your words made me feel better
holy shit dude it’s been years since i’ve seen your channel but that name is unmistakable. first video of yours i watched was the mama murphy OD speedrun. seems some things never change
edit: also gunflashing works because the NPCs don’t spot you firing the shot, but notice the bullet impacts, which triggers “panic mode”. how it works is it lures guard NPCs to the shot while also narrowing their focus to that. as long as they don’t see you doing anything explicitly illegal like attacking someone they’ll ignore basically everything else like trespassing or holding a weapon and focus on “finding” the shooter by going to the location of the shot, or if they’re a civilian they’ll run away and also ignore most illegal actions. it’s an engine quirk that speedrunners have been using for awhile now, i think i remember some runs in blood money using the exact same tactic.
Welcome back
lmao I love how you're calling Hush Thomas Elliot
the fucking skits for the ad roll kill me-the zoom effect showdown was so fucking funny
