It really is one of the best Alien games ever made. Creative Assembly really loved the 1979 film and you can see that come through in the final product. Big shame that Isolation didn't do so well commercially. I always thought a sequel where you witness the fall of Hadley's Hope would have been awesome.
Honestly, for the longest time and what I briefly watched from streamers, I seriously though the game was nothing more than some kind of hide and seek game with the alien. Wasnt until recently watching Carcinogens run that I found out it actually had a story xD
I find it incredibly weird as well as I started watching a let's play of this yesterday and was about to finish it before seeing this video in my subscriptions... Odd...

The algorithm tossed you my way almost a year ago and hearing you say this in all your videos really did help me through a dark period. I also really love the content. considering that moment tends to be one of the most stressful moments of the game for new players, it's an amazingly appropriate place to place a motivational speech.
This is something he does every time. The "no feeling is final" speech is an important part of his video, and he always finds a place for it. Mental health is a volatile subject, being that straight about it while maintaining positivity is difficult, and he drives the nail in with 1 strike.
Same here. Going through a shitty time and this video randomly popped up for me and decided to watch it not expecting that speech. When I heard it I was blown away. Thanks so much for saying that. Really spoke to me!!!!

This was the first video I ever watched from tomatoanus, and I watched it during a particularly bad day. The speech he goes on to say around the 11 minute mark made my day in a way I can’t begin to describe, and that instantly made me gain such a respect for him. Thank you for making my day even a little bit better, and that alone made me subscribe.

@Silentt141 he intentionally says the name of the games wrong, probably for comments giving a higher impression rate due to increased comments, or he just finds it funny Notable example, in mario odyssey he calls it ossedy, etc

Yeah, the only real issue should be the gravity. I know it does weird stuff to regular matches cause the flame doesn’t reach upwards like it does under gravity, and that makes it colder/harder to light and stay lit
Holy…. I didn’t expect a gaming video about an old game I’ve played to just randomly and casually tell me to take care and be hopeful. Kinda needed that, considering I’ve been feeling a certain way and asked a friend today to hold onto my gun for a while

I use your videos to fall asleep sometimes and lately I haven’t been doing well at all. This weekend has been the first time in a while I’ve felt okay and part of that is thanks to your messages partway through each video. Each time I hear you tell us that things will not always feel like this and there is a tomorrow helped me feel seen enough to open up to my family about things. I’m already in a better tomorrow, thank you ☺️
Thank you tomato for the message every video. I’ve struggled a lot with mental health, and it feels nice that I’m part of a community that’s cared for. Your message every video has helped me through some hard times and I hope you can keep making these videos for yourself of course, but remember we all are here to support you, and the past does not define YOU. You’ll be here tomorrow, and nothing can take that away from you tomato.
Another TA video. The introduction is my favorite. I love hearing how TA can dog himself and his Peter in a single sentence and have it be a different dig every single time. Love it. Will he ever run out of snips? Will he ever repeat himself? No one knows.
I have watched so many of your videos and always thought those moments when you cheer us on and tell us things will be ok was a cute little detail. But man this week has been absolute hell for me and hearing you say that this feeling won't last forever got me sobbing over here. Just know those little moments matter so much when they hit at the right time. Thank you for your kindness to all of us
That was very entertaining to watch. Also, 10:40 , this couldn't have been said to me in a better time than this. i've only seen this video now but, this week has been literal hell. Thank you.

I just wanna say that nice kind message you had around the 11 min mark really helped me through some things I’ve been going through and I really appreciate hearing those words, thank you!
I needed that pep talk at 10 min. I never have seen any of your videos and happened to stumble on this. I just got evicted and placed in a shelter. I felt like you were talking directly to me. Thank you so much.
I’m glad you put in your messages to people who may not be in the best place mentally. Its such a small thing and I can see it being very motivational for those who watch your videos as an escape from their reality. As someone who struggles with those types of issues I usually find those types of messages as nagging but the way you do it has a sincerity to it that is apparent so thank you for doing it.
I love all your content. You are extremely entertaining and your humor is amazing. So much respect for all your mental health notes you say in EVERY video. You’re beautiful and uplifting, so thank you. Keep being yourself mato!
thank You so macking a video on alien isolation so long after the game came out, showing that a lot of poeple still didn't forget the game. Maybe we can raise some awareness for a second aliem isolation, or atleast something similar
Wow, that little tram waiting talk hit me in the feelings cause it was so unexpected. Havent seen your vids before and randomly went on this one so I dunno if its some kind of in-joke or normal segment but as someone who is struggling with my mental health and actually have therapy booked cause I feel true despair and hopelessness, your speech there felt a little bit like i was guided to click it, to hear that. warmed my heart a bit. Thanks man, + like and subscribe for that. Good vid too. Here's to a better tomorrow!
Didn't expect emotional support from an Alien isolation video and especially did not expect it from someone call tomatoanus... but thanks, that was nice to hear.
10:40 Woah. You have no idea how much that little message helped. It was also super random, and happened to occur right when I was beginning to feel depressed. You rock!
Around 11 mins in…when you asked how we are…I don’t think you realised how much I needed to hear that. That was such an unexpected part of the video (first video of yours I’ve watched). Thank you
I love that there is a resurgence in the last year or so in people discovering and playing Alien : Isolation. Such an underrated horror game at the time and one that absolutely deserves a sequel. The graphics were amazing for 2014, but imagine how a sequel would look now with today's graphics.
What you said at 10:45 hit home and is entirely true, though i consider my life not great overall since years, i deal with it, but these last two weeks it got worse to the point i was considering to do the dumb stuff, but thing luckily got better, and it got back to my 'normal'. I just hope it get better and better for me from now.
This is a response for the wholesome 10:40 assurance, thank you. I know whatever hardships we may face are temporary and the day by days will be better over time, but it feels so nice to be reminded that people all around do care. I get so wrapped up in life's repetitions to stay afloat, I personally forget why I'm doing all this in the first place. To be acknowledged and believed in by my friends, pets, family and people from instances like these, help to carry on. I have a hard time seeing self worth in myself, but I know it's there. I feel the least thing I can do for my self worth is to be appreciative of my days and whatever makes me happy.
I never knew that one day, I would be wanting more tomato and more anus, it's a good job we have you to help us with our urges. Awesomeness as always, love your speedrun breakdowns.
Hey! First time watching, and was not expecting your words at 10:40 . Was feeling real stressed due to some life issues, nearly punched through a table at work couple hours earlier due to all of the stuff accumulating. Wanted to just chill a bit after work watching something with a drink, but your words really touched something in me. I have gone through many tough choices and life-on-the-line situations in the last year with a few hardest ones still going on, so just thank you for reminding me that there is still good stuff to live towards. Just thank you, hope everything is good for you man
I remember seeing this run at a GDQ a couple years ago. The runner was so sweet and fun, and even got the double pin. What a wild SR, and shoutout to the mad lads who run it!
Great editing, great script. I see continuous improvement in every video you make, I love it. Hope you’re doing well, man. Remember to say your affirmations to yourself, too. Would love seeing Spider-Man 2 or any Spider-Man games on your channel.
This is the first video of yours I've watched. I don't really watch speedrunning videos and I'm not a particularly big fan of alien or horror games in general. I was mindlessly dead scrolling as an excuse to stay awake since much as I don't like admitting it I don't like being alone with my thoughts. 10 minutes in and I was in shock over the kind words you gave. At first I was like "oh this is gonna be a lead up to a joke huh" but you kept going and were so genuine about it I sat there for 2 minutes jaw dropped. I don't think I've ever subbed to anyone so quickly and immediately before. There are people I've watched for years and I still haven't subbed but after that for you there was no hesitation in my mind. If anything it feels so lacking just only being able to give a sub. But I hope from the bottom of my heart you know and understand how much that tiny segment meant to me. Thank you so much
Tomatoanus is so good at documenting these runs, I feel like it would be the most amazing to have him document that 24+hour final fantasy 8 (I think) marathon that happened a few years back. It was hilarious and awesome and filled with all kinds of craziness.
I just gonna say I was watching this in the background kinda just zoned out but the part where you were talking about when there will be a tomorrow just struck me and I really just needed to hear that. Thank you ❤
When I started watching these videos I didn't truly believe you that the feelings of despair would go away but as of recently they have and I am ever so grateful that these videos have been around while i've gone through the process to improve my mental health, Thanks Tomato
I don't know if this came up in the video, but a word of warning: please be careful about attempting to pre-crouch you can still get pregnant from pre-crouching.
I discovered you through the Fallout Anthology speedrun you did back in 2020, and I am so happy to see your vids are even funnier than your raw quips and live commentary were back then. Love the editing and the script writing (unironically) seriously boosts the delivery of your humor. Will now binge all ur vids thnx
I'm sure you get a lot of comments like this, but thank you for your positive messages. I'm not doing great right now, and your genuine empathy in every video really makes me feel better, even if only for a moment.
This is crazy i just finished binging some older T-anus vids and soon as i finished the last one..BOOM a new vid drops! Also def loving the new intro its like a tutorial for watching your vids
So, I was just rabbit holeing my way through youtube and ended up here.... was not expecting the words said while waiting for the door to open, nor how much I needed to hear them. In short, thank you.

@@Swirlz1613 no way, i can't believe i'm seeing both the no cc goats delta and swirlz in one comment section
thank You so macking a video on alien isolation so long after the game came out, showing that a lot of poeple still didn't forget the game.
Didn't expect emotional support from an Alien isolation video and especially did not expect it from someone call tomatoanus... but thanks, that was nice to hear.
i aint gonna lie that south and north tower joke hit me like a truck lmao
great video!!
11:07 I was not expecting such compassion in a speedrun summary video but thank you for including it ❤
Thank you
Can’t express my respect for the amount of time you put into these little stories in every video ❤
Been subscribed for a month. That message in every video. It really helps after a long week at work.
Love how entertaining Tomato is consistently over so many years
I love that there is a resurgence in the last year or so in people discovering and playing Alien : Isolation.
I hope things get better for you too, man. I'm glad you're still around, even if I don't know you.
The random pep-talk in the middle was totally unexpected from a random video I picked to watch while eating but was really nice.
That message at around 11minutes made me pretty emotional. Been in a tough spot recently. Appreciate that. Thats how you earn a sub/like!
I never knew that one day, I would be wanting more tomato and more anus, it's a good job we have you to help us with our urges. Awesomeness as always, love your speedrun breakdowns.
It's perfectly understandable, you're only human after all.
Just thank you, hope everything is good for you man
I came for the speed run but I've been going through a lot and the little bit of positive words really hit where they needed ❤
I absolutely love the message at 10:35 ! You are a legend and just earned a new subscriber. Thank you for your content!
Your messages of support and hope always make my day thank you so much for them and for your awesome speedeun videos!
Thank you so much
"Aliumisolation."
Tomatoanus is so good at documenting these runs, I feel like it would be the most amazing to have him document that 24+hour final fantasy 8 (I think) marathon that happened a few years back. It was hilarious and awesome and filled with all kinds of craziness.
0:23 I said the same thing. Man, what happened?
I just gonna say I was watching this in the background kinda just zoned out but the part where you were talking about when there will be a tomorrow just struck me and I really just needed to hear that. Thank you ❤
When I started watching these videos I didn't truly believe you that the feelings of despair would go away but as of recently they have and I am ever so grateful that these videos have been around while i've gone through the process to improve my mental health, Thanks Tomato
I take this moment to reflect. And I am actually feeling better compared to when I heard you say ir last time.
Just wanted to say I really appreciate your typical message about how people are feeling.
That fucking tram killed me on my no death run and apparently loading a previous save doesn't re-enable the achievement.
This is crazy i just finished binging some older T-anus vids and soon as i finished the last one..BOOM a new vid drops!
Also def loving the new intro its like a tutorial for watching your vids
Who's this "Alium" I keep hearing about?
That’s crazy there’s just a potential 9 second time skip at the end of the game that is completely RNG based wtf 😭
"I watch tomatoanus for the speedrun info"
I watch tomatoanus for the free therapy, we are not the same
So, I was just rabbit holeing my way through youtube and ended up here.... was not expecting the words said while waiting for the door to open, nor how much I needed to hear them. In short, thank you.
it,s ALIEN Not ALIEM
Classic Mandela effect
Thanks for the words of encouragement currently going through joblessness with no way to refill my medications and the withdrawals are the worst! Ill keep trucking tho i always do!
Why is he mispronouncing "Alien" and "Aliens"
Yeah it pisses me off bad
👆 there's your answer
25:00 fun fact, the amusement park remark is because of the guy who got his head kicked off at six flags over ga climbing the fence at the Batman ride, live close and have been going there since I was a kid lol
After all the explanation on the facehugers part, and then see it at normal speed was so damn awesome. Not only how lucky he was but how fast and precise it had to be done. Simply insane
10:43 this was so random and it caught me off guard. but i honestly needed it very badly i’m not in a happy place in my life right now. thank you so much
BIG fan of the greenscreen over the run footage where YOU point something out. Would love to see more of you interacting physically(?) with the run
Hearing the Bully theme in the video takes me back. It's nice to see you're a man of class.
Just heard your message while the first tram was coming. Thank you and your unexpected service to the community!
