Back in 2015 for the 56th All Japan Hobby Show, Bandai did show a lineup of 10 kits planned for the RE/100 line, showing Efreet Custom, GM Sniper II, Barzam, Jegan, Kshatriya, Xi Gundam, ZMT-S34S Rig Contio, OZ-06MS Leo, Gaia Gundam, and Reborns Gundam. We have seen 3 of these kits released, but with the GM Sniper II and Jegan being "upgraded" to Master Grades. I don't remember hearing anything else about these candidates, so who knows, maybe this lineup is still active?
@@ZakuAurelius I don't see much reason for this to be a MG. It's bloody huge, and doing it with a full internal frame would make it incredibly heavy as well, which translates to huge cost, thus making it less affordable, which usually translates to lower sales. As you know, low sales translates to "unpopular" in the corporate brain, which makes a reissue very unlikely, thus driving scalper prices go through the roof. I think a RE/100 Hy-Gogg makes more sense due to cost concerns. You can serve the demand for detail simply by including detailed missile/torpedo tubes, gun details, etc...
@@Dragon_Werks It's not *that* big. Even the downsized Re/100 Nightingale would still dwarf it. The HG is relatively *tiny*. MG wouldn't be much more room than Qubeley.
Couple that come to my mind: Zassa, Dreissen, Zogok. All three can have a P-bandai color swap. Gaza-C, has plenty of variants and color swaps. Also has a pretty odd MA mode so might need to omit that Queen Mansa, would be a cool stepping stone to a 1/100 Kshatriya The RGM-109 Heavygun, has a mess of variants for P-bandai, and we a P-bandai of a P-bandai in the shape of the RGM-111 Hardygun to go along with more F90 releases
Gerbera Tetra, Zero-Shiki, Woundwart, Pale Rider and its variants, Rick Dias II, Rick Dijeh, and I'm sure I could find 500 more designs that would be awesome RE/100 kits if I scoured the wiki for another 20 mins lol
Also another cool thing if they want to reboot and change from RE100 to the Full Mechanics is to make the RE100 line have other 1/100 vehicles or weapons, like what they did with the Base Jabber from CCA. Imagine all those cool non mecha vehicules, or partial mecha. Some examples are: Magella tanks, EF Tanks (M61A5), the Dopp, Jet Core Booster, SaberFish, the Core Booster for the Core Fighter, Dodai Kai, etc. I know some of those are quite obscure but it would be cool to have them as diorama or "scene" pieces. Also the F91 suits like HeavyGun, G-Cannon and as you mentioned, Zon, are gold mines for P-Bandai with all their optional equipment (like the f90) and variants. We can go even further with the JamesGun but that is more Crossbone than F91.
Glad to hear the Byarlant mentioned in the video, it was definitely the first one that came to my mind once you started talking about hypothetical future possibilities. Well, specifically I want the Custom from UC, but any variant would be a good start. Another thing I want more of in both the RE/100 *and* FM lines is sub flight units. We already have the Type-89 Base Jabber, which is great for CCA / Gundam UC era Jegan/Jesta displays, but I want more! Things like the Dodai Kai to pair with the MG Hyaku Shiki or Mk II; or the Guul (from SEED, for the FM line) to go with kits like the MG Duel or Buster.
If the MS Moon Gundam series garners popularity in the future, we won't a RE/100, or an MG model, but an MGEX release. And might release with RE/100 Dag Doll and RE/100 Rick-Dijeh.
7 years ago at the 56th All Japan Hobby Show 2016, Bandai had a booth where they displayed their Reborn Series Candidate where they announced 10 Mobile Suits that are on "The Next item Under Planning" stage. These are the following: Efreet Kai, GM Sniper II, Barzam, Jegan, Kshatriya, Xi Gundam, Rig Contio, Leo, Gaia Gundam and Reborns Gundam. What ended up happening is we did get an Efreet Kai release, GM Sniper II and Jegan ended up getting a Master Grade, Barzam and Xi Gundam as HGUC, Leo as HGAC and the rest are probably abandoned which is sad because i REALLY wanted a Reborns Gundam in 1/100 Form.
Its funny you'd mention the Guncannon, i recently build that beast and i absolutely adore it. One im still really hoping to see again is the Nobel Gundam, i have the HG one but i just really want a large scale one to make her properly nice and detailed. Especially since there's the light pink Berserk mode of her form that could be made into a P-Bandai version. Pretty crazy the insane amount of suits i've never seen before however.
Thinking about it, I could see an RE/100 Dra-C making an appearance, but not directly. Likely, it'd be a P-Bandai modification of a Zaku II F2 release, and even then, it's possible to get both a blue and pink version due to both the original Stardust Memory OVA and the Sleeves version in the Unicorn OVA.
Some good ideas I have would probably be the Gelgoog Jegar from 0080. A P-Bandai could be Shin Matsunaga's custom. A long shot, but they can come up with the C-Booster from the Gundam movies. The Xamel from 0083 is another good idea.
Ever since the first Build Fighters showed the Abigorbine, I've always held out hope that we would get a kit of the Abigor especially in the RE 1/100 line. Bug-like mobile suits just look cool to me
Ah man, the list is huge...Zssa, Juaggu, Hambrabi, Gaza C and D, Baund Doc, Gerbera Tetra. Could do the Xamel, if they wanted a higher priced kit like the Nightingale. On the other end of the spectrum you could have the Loto, the Galbaldi suits maybe...
The RGM-88X Jeddah from Moon Gundam manga, it’s The prototype for the Jegan, I really wish Gundam Thunderbolt had gotten more kits especially the RX-77-4G Bull G which is a TB ver of the GM Cannon II with a Gundam head and some of the design aesthetics are similar to the GP series of Gundams. Another example is the OMS-07RF Refined Gouf, I love it’s design and the fact that instead of a heat rod or wire grapple like the OG Gouf or Gouf Custom it has a beam emitter on the end of a cable called a beam rod, not to mention it’s a Mars Zeon MS.
I love re/100 kits. Probably my favorite line since I’m typically a bigger fan of the more obscure mobile suits in it and I’m not in the least bothered by the lack of a full inner frame in my kits.
Definitely wanna see a video like this for the FM Line, especially now that we finally got all the Boosted Men’s Gundams I’m curious to see what next year’s release(?) might be.
I think the Zssa would be a great candidate, it appears in several episodes of ZZ Gundam which is a series that is growing in popularity because it's become more available, it has a few variants they can do, and it's too big for a regular MG.
Thanks for this video. Love this type of content further to your review and build videos! Anyway, I think the Methuss is a real strong candidate for the RE100 line, especially to "partner" the recent Zeta Verka. The MS was even on the 2.0 box.. albeit the special coating version. The Moon Gundam would indeed "deserve" an MG for its popularity.. and I also feel the RE100 line should focus more on grunts
Probably never happening, but I would love a re-do of the Nightingale now that the HGUC is out and has much better proportions and build, I'd love to see that in 1/100.
YES!! I got the Reborn NG years ago, well before the HG came out. I now feel a bit... almost ripped off. xD For the hidden manipulators at the least! But for everything else the HG can do now.. I want it all, and LEDs, in a *true* scaled Nightingale! (the manga, out before stats like height were ever known, depicts it around twice as tall as the Hi-v, if not bigger sometimes!) Sadly, I think it would eclipse even The O in price, though I'd pay it. xD
I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up quietly rebranding RE100 to FMUC (or some variation) whenever we get another non-MG 1/100 UC kit. I only got into the hobby a few years back around the time the Jagd Doga released and at least at the time I remember kits from the line seemed to sit on the shelves in the shops in my area forever, regardless of which specific kit it was (including the Zaku Kai when it was brand new). Meanwhile the FM SEED kits seem to be selling about as fast as anything else. That could be due to a number of things of course, but I do wonder if Bandai decided/will decide it was best to refresh the branding to move away from any negative perception the line developed from some of the larger, clunkier kits like the Hamma-Hamma or Jagd Doga.
As an off the wall option: RX-78 Unit 4, 5, and 6. They have P-Bandai HG kits. Looking carefully at their structure I think they can borrow some parts from the RE 1/100 Gundam MK-III and of course would be borrowing parts for each other. Unit 5 and 6 in particular have large weapons that might be difficult to balance in a proper MG without getting expensive framework wise.
I kick myself to this day that I didn't pick up the Vigna-Ghina from a now-closed hobby shop. Yeah, they had it at twice MSRP, but now it's at three times, and like an idiot I was certain there'd be a restock. Having built the GP04, Nightingale, Dijeh, Vigna-Ghina II, Vigna-Zirah, Gun Blaster, Gun EZ Ground Type, Guncannon Detector, Rebawoo, Lindwurm and Shokew, I have a lot of fondness for the line.
These weren't mentioned, but a 1/100 Asshimar, Gedlav (the thing riding a wheel in Victory), or the Pez Battala (axe head from Crossbone) would be sick. Honestly, anything from that F91-Victory era would be great since all the MSs are pretty obscure besides the main gundams. And yes, please make a video on the Full Mechanics line as well. There are a lot of designs that have either old, really hard to find kits, or no kits at all. This line has a great future since the 3 recent SEED kits did pretty good.
I think the #1 kit we need for the RE/100 is the Zamel. And they can make it huge like the Nightangale and i just can figure out why we never got a 1/100 scale of it? As for the Moon Gundam, they need to give it the Ver Ka treatment because it is such a badass mobile suit.
I would love to see a kit of the 00 Blossom, just in general. Another overlooked one that only has an SD version is the Mark 4. The Mark 3 was an RE, and the Mark 5 just got a P-Bandai MG, so why not do the Mark 4? It's the only one missing.
Kshatriya have the repair version so plus 1 point for it. Neo Zeong that can accommodate the MG sinanju, and maybe GWing units mobile suit will be Full Mechanics version
1/100 MSS Le Cygne, 1/100 Gaplant, 1/100 GP03D Dendrobium(The mobile Armor) this is the few I can think of. Edit ZMT-S33S Gottrlatan and ZMT-S33S Gottrlatan with Mega Beam Cannon as P Bandai.
In the same vein as the Den'an Zon, I would love if they made an RE/100 of the G-Cannon as well. There are a few P-bandai equipment variants they could make of it too.
They could also use some designs from "not officially-animated" (beside gatcha/arcade games) designs - like a modified Rick Dijeh. Or some older, now discontinued models (be it some really old MG "simplified", or 1/100 HG/NG kits)...
Along with suits you mentioned like the Den’an Zon the Den’an Gei would be amazing as it’s only had resin kits and since they made victory kits like the EZ and shokew another suit I would want although probably unlikely would be either the Tomliat or Zoloat
Just off the top of my head, I can think of the Demeter and the Gundam Over.On from Walpurgis, the Gundam MK. IV, any version of the Gaza. They really should make the Moon Gundam in MG and release the Dag Doll and/or the Theta Plus as RE/100. And finally, and least likely, the Big Zam.
What, nobody mentions Nether Gundam/Windmill Gundam? It would make a phenomenal RE1/100 kit. Highly decorative too, you can just set it in windmill mode and it would look good as a desk ornament.
The first design that came to mind was the Nero. Most of the designs mentioned are great candidates. But I wonder: would the Gerbera Tetra be made as an RE/100 based on its Gundam version or would Bandai give it the Master Grade treatment? Anyone has an opinion on that?
That Blossom looks very nice. I would make the Moon a straight MG. Here’s a thought that the Kyshatria as a MGEX. Addition would be the idea of a metal frame system to hold up the binders.
Ohh yeah the Xamel! Great pick! Definitely would add that to the list. Though due to the size I wonder if Bandai may opt to make an HG- which I would totally be cool with as well
With the announcement of the ver ka narrative gundam I could see the next ver ka being a moon gundam/ vargele just because the narrative is the prototype of the nu and like wise the moon a modded prototype sazabi
I would really want a RE/100 or Full Mechanics of the Reborns Gundam. It could have some of its parts reused for a P-Bandai 1 and 1.5 Gundam, or even a two in one kit for these.
The thing is, Bandai hasn't reprinted a RE/100 for quite some time now. To the point that it's almost impossible to find ANY RE/100 for purchase that is not a second hand kit with an absurd price. So, while I agree that for Bandai RE/100 and FM might be the same thing, RE/100 is completely abandoned not only without new kits but with no reissues of existing ones.
Late comment, but does anyone find full mechanics kits a little pointless based on price? Really nice kits most the time dont get me wrong, but on usa gundam and other places they cost more than most mgs, for example the calamity, i dont think its worth 55 when it's a standard size gundam with decent backpack. Not hating i just would tather the extra 5-7 dollars to have full master grade features at that point.
The RE/100 line is actually getting retail reprints again which is a good sign! I'd say the Gabthley has a fairly good chance, it had a MG prototype at some point that they'd probably work into an RE100 instead to go along with the Zeta Ver Ka
I would LOVE to see Queen Mansa, just don't know how popular it is. Also, I very much enjoy these type of videos talking about the future of MG, RE/100 etc. and other various topics. Keep them coming, excellent content as always!
Geara zulu guards type would be nice choice for re 100. But i think people would prefer it as an mg kit. Also gm aqua as far as i know doesn't have any model kit yet. Cmiiw.
I agree with you. I think RE and FM occupy the same release schedule slot. So when the release slot comes around it's just a matter of bandai choosing if its going to be a kit from a UC(RE) kit or a non-UC(FM) thats going to be released. The thing I'm worried about is just their pricing lol.... it basically reached to a point where it's comparable in price to MGs while the rarely released regular MGs are also increasing in price. Need more data though since the recent ones are all Ver Kas and the non ver kas all went to P-bandai so far and well that's also an increase in price especially for the rest of the world 😭 all in all, I don't like the direction where bandai is going.
I'll go out on a limb and claim that P-Bandai isn't meant to be premium and that the renaming from G-Club was to remove confusion and a marketing gimmick. Gundam Base is the actual glitzy, premium source for special coating versions that are meant to be more exclusive, while P-Bandai is the outlet for kits that aren't quite mainstream enough but also don't require a ton of new production to complete, like the Tallgeese Flügel or the Death Scythe Roussette, which are basic kits plus an expansion. I don't know if there's some other development, like if Gundam Base is very new and so the 'titanium versions' and other alternative coating or material kits have moved from P-Bandai to there, but to me the "premium" has ALWAYS been a misnomer that has lead people to believe that they get better quality for more money, when in reality you often just get kits that normally wouldn't have been released, in limited runs. You've covered the possibilities extensively. Maybe some AGE designs like the Genoace, Farsia or the Baqto would be my contribution for FM.
A 1/100 Psycho Gundam would be amazing, and RE/100 seems like the perfect line for that. It would be massive, but if they do a RE/100 Xi, there's no reason they can't also do the Psycho Gundam.
Kinda summed up how I feel in the opening the FM and RE lines are loosely the same. The only one I'd not want is the Moon Gundam it's got easy MG potential and you've got two PB releases right away plus anything they make down the line. I'd actually like to see RE1/100 vehicles. They did the Base Jabber. I'd like to see some tanks, other transport vehicles etc.
The only 0079 MS that doesn't have a 1/100 kit Is the MSM-10 Zock and that could be RE/100 material Also there are some MS from the 0080 and 0083 OAV that doesn't have a 1/100 kit and could be candidates for RE/100 Like Z'Gok Experiment and Hy-Gogg
I'd like a kit of the Gundam Mk. IV, but I'm not sure if it'll get RE/100 because, as you said, we have the Gundam Mk. V (its successor) as a MG, and swapping parts should be easier vs Silver Bullet or Doven Wolf.
funny enough the Gundam Lindwurm is so far the only non-U.C. design in the RE/100 as it hailed from Build Divers granted it uses the RE/100 Bawoo as a base.
Man, I don’t care what they call the line I just want more 1/100 scale models.

Couple that come to my mind:
Zassa, Dreissen, Zogok. All three can have a P-bandai color swap.
Gaza-C, has plenty of variants and color swaps. Also has a pretty odd MA mode so might need to omit that
Queen Mansa, would be a cool stepping stone to a 1/100 Kshatriya
The RGM-109 Heavygun, has a mess of variants for P-bandai, and we a P-bandai of a P-bandai in the shape of the RGM-111 Hardygun to go along with more F90 releases
I am 1000% on board for Queen Mansa!
Gerbera Tetra, Zero-Shiki, Woundwart, Pale Rider and its variants, Rick Dias II, Rick Dijeh, and I'm sure I could find 500 more designs that would be awesome RE/100 kits if I scoured the wiki for another 20 mins lol
The Nero from Sentinel, the Zaza, Mk 4 Gundam, Zgok, Zogog.
Bet
Zakuaurelius always eyeing that Xeku Eins.
I actually didn’t think of it for this list! It was mentioned by someone else in the Discord! 😱
Khastryia RE got teased years ago, but never came out
Its funny you'd mention the Guncannon, i recently build that beast and i absolutely adore it.
The P-Bandai Lindwurm from last year was an RE/100 kit, so maybe there's hope for more. Plus there have been a couple of recent reprints.
I was about to think that. I also think bring in the actual Gerbera Tetra from 0083.
@@brandonperlow9091 Good idea, however I would love to see it as an MG if possible.
A lot of Z/ZZ grunts could be RE/100 with tons of recolor n unicorn version.
I think the Moon Gundam should just be an MG or even a Ver.Ka. If anything, maybe a RE/100 Phantom or Anchor Gundam would be nice.
A moon Gundam ver.ka would be great. I'd buy that for sure
(the manga, out before stats like height were ever known, depicts it around twice as tall as the Hi-v, if not bigger sometimes!) Sadly, I think it would eclipse even The O in price, though I'd pay it. xD
MG or MGEX of Nightingale would be sick
Yeah I would like to see your list on the Full Mechanics grade kits please.
Shzrum Gallus needs a 1/100 release, arguably best action scene since the Gouf Custom
gustav karl could be a possible candidate for the re100 line too imo
Definitely
Grunt suits like the RGM-79 GM or the Ground Combat GM, as well as obscure GM variants, would make for great RE/100 candidates.
I would love t see a new Nebula Blitz Gundam, was never able to find the old one
I think the #1 kit we need for the RE/100 is the Zamel. And they can make it huge like the Nightangale and i just can figure out why we never got a 1/100 scale of it? As for the Moon Gundam, they need to give it the Ver Ka treatment because it is such a badass mobile suit.
RE 1/100 Silver Bullet Suppressor to go with the Narrative Ver Ka
I would love to see a kit of the 00 Blossom, just in general. Another overlooked one that only has an SD version is the Mark 4. The Mark 3 was an RE, and the Mark 5 just got a P-Bandai MG, so why not do the Mark 4? It's the only one missing.
The Zaku F2000 Custom is a beast, and would be great in a larger scale.
Ah yeah the Gaplant would be cool!
Yes, all the hygogs plz.
100% agree, don't make Moon a RE, just make it a real MG
I want more kits in the line, loved what we got so far. Especially Kshatriya.
In the same vein as the Den'an Zon, I would love if they made an RE/100 of the G-Cannon as well. There are a few P-bandai equipment variants they could make of it too.
As much as I would love it as an MG, I would expect the Dreissen to be an Re/100 kit. Also any of the Crossbone Vanguard grunts love me some Late-UC.
id like to have more main gundams like the wing zero/proto zero/ Endless waltz made in the same design as the perfect grade unleashed RX-78-2
Would love to see RE/100 Gerbera Tetra, easy conversion based on GP04 Gerbera.
I would love to see a RX-77D, RMV1, Glines, GM cannon 2, Mass production Guntank, a gaplant and or an assimar would be cool
I've become a huge fan of the Gallus here of late and can see it happening as an RE, as well as a p bandai variants of the K and schuzrum types.
16:20 I heard “silver bullet” and the soldier in me got scared for a second
What, nobody mentions Nether Gundam/Windmill Gundam? It would make a phenomenal RE1/100 kit. Highly decorative too, you can just set it in windmill mode and it would look good as a desk ornament.
The first design that came to mind was the Nero. Most of the designs mentioned are great candidates. But I wonder: would the Gerbera Tetra be made as an RE/100 based on its Gundam version or would Bandai give it the Master Grade treatment? Anyone has an opinion on that?
To be fair the guncannon detector got a few seconds of screentime in Unicorn.
I just want them to actually reprint the re100 kits, can't find the Zaku FZ anywhere for less than $150
That Blossom looks very nice. I would make the Moon a straight MG. Here’s a thought that the Kyshatria as a MGEX. Addition would be the idea of a metal frame system to hold up the binders.
MGEX Kyshatria would definitely be interesting. Don't know how well it would work out/be received. Would definitely be interesting, though
For the zeke fans the Xamel or hildolfer would be cool
Ohh yeah the Xamel! Great pick! Definitely would add that to the list. Though due to the size I wonder if Bandai may opt to make an HG- which I would totally be cool with as well
The heavygun and hardygun would be amazing honestly, great u touched potential in grunt suits
The Hamma Hamma build was good, I would really like more of the line
The thing is, Bandai hasn't reprinted a RE/100 for quite some time now. To the point that it's almost impossible to find ANY RE/100 for purchase that is not a second hand kit with an absurd price. So, while I agree that for Bandai RE/100 and FM might be the same thing, RE/100 is completely abandoned not only without new kits but with no reissues of existing ones.
i feel now that the Seed kits and the Arial FM is done, RE will be back, just like you described.
Before they kill it please reprint the Re100 Gerbera !
For 1/100 scale with no cockpit it like eating ramen without noodle
The RE/100 line is actually getting retail reprints again which is a good sign! I'd say the Gabthley has a fairly good chance, it had a MG prototype at some point that they'd probably work into an RE100 instead to go along with the Zeta Ver Ka
I really enjoyed this video. I think the moon Gundam would land an MG spot just because of how popular it is.
RX-79 Ground Gundam gives you sooooo many varieties.
Zollidia for sure. Awesome design, has 144 and 100 kits from the 09's and multiple variants.
Yeah I have the old Zollidia, needs paint but it still looks really cool
I had the re100 mkiii
God damn it looks so good after painted, so sad they stop making it....
I would LOVE to see Queen Mansa, just don't know how popular it is. Also, I very much enjoy these type of videos talking about the future of MG, RE/100 etc. and other various topics. Keep them coming, excellent content as always!
It is even bigger than kshatriya...
Geara zulu guards type would be nice choice for re 100. But i think people would prefer it as an mg kit. Also gm aqua as far as i know doesn't have any model kit yet. Cmiiw.
This week i built Re/100 base jabber unicorn version, and cursing a lot when try to fix jesta cannon on top of it :(
I agree with you.
Need more data though since the recent ones are all Ver Kas and the non ver kas all went to P-bandai so far and well that's also an increase in price especially for the rest of the world 😭
all in all, I don't like the direction where bandai is going.
Nothing stays dead.
Like SD EX-Standard comes back as and when.
I feel like we ask if Re 1/100 line is dead every year and then we get a new one every year.
Not only that, but I have a strong feeling Re1/100 and Full Mechanics are the same line under different names.
Would love a GP00 Blossom.
I just wished they made an HG ver for those re kits as well
The only 0079 MS that doesn't have a 1/100 kit Is the MSM-10 Zock and that could be RE/100 material
Also there are some MS from the 0080 and 0083 OAV that doesn't have a 1/100 kit and could be candidates for RE/100
Like Z'Gok Experiment and Hy-Gogg
Good luck trying to find an RE 1/100 GP04G for less than $100
Wish they would at the least reprint some if the line. I'd really like the Zaku Kai from War In the Pocket.
