4:50 gm light armor does seem uncanny proportions on head neck and arms are too humanoid to be mechanical even if designed to be lean its form does not say 1yr war ms but more neon Genesis eva, yet it is not unbelievable to believe that it’s simply the byproduct of the “rounded” art style. The ms in 2250 all have humanoid rounded poses and movement, the zeon ms use it very well due to their unconventional shape. I love it but it would help to keep zeon ms and federation ms have better differentiation. if the art style differed between the two factions Like keep the rounded stuff for zeon and sharp gritty realistic art style for federation, it would make for great creative contrast. Use funi break dancing acguy to beat down a Earth federation no funi ace
Even compared to other mecha series, nothing can really top the Acguy for its unintentional cute design and can easily change with minimal effort. As the Bearguy is a MS lineup all its own based off the Acguy. So, out of all the mecha out there, the Acguy being comical even in a serious series still does not feel out of place, at least not by much.
Thanks to battle operations 2 the acguy will always have a special place in my heart now even if I'm main the agguguy instead and gave it the nickname tentacle porn because of all the whips it shots out and has it painted like spiderman lol

Probably the weird feeling of the Light GM is because it looks less like a MS and more like a dude in a futuristic body armor.
I think the light amour looks weird is probably because it looks a bit too human.
