As a retired teacher, your videos are outstanding and very project based. I got my P1S setup, printed a benchy with supplied filament. Now I am loading the AMS with Tough PLA to print a couple of parts with just one filament. I subscribed & can't wait to view your other videos.

Pro-tip: when your audience is beginner, all the comparison between this software and other software is noise. Just tell me how to use the software. Cut to the chase. No long intros...no...this is how it's done in another program or I wish it would etc. etc. For someone who doesn't use those other programs because this is their first rodeo, it's mind-numbing.

I would disagree. It gives us an idea of what the alternatives are should we do decide to start branching off from here if we find this program limiting
Yes, the video is longer. But that’s what we signed up for in a beginner class. Strap yourself in and just focus on soaking in the knowledge. It’s rather like school; you just gotta learn to focus even when you’re bored.

I am getting back into 3d printing after many months of not using it and I am floored with the new version of Bambu Studio. When I started back into printing I had the older version of Bambu Studio and was trying to get the settings right for pETG prints of a hydroponic planing tower and was having many things go wrong. I couldn't get the settings to always work. I then decided to go hunting for a newer version of the Bambu Studio and was so happy to see that Bambu Labs had put the time and effort to create presets that just work as you said. My printing of PETG is back to normal and everything is running great. I am so glad that I am back into my iambu X1 Carbon and glad that I came across your videos. Great job explaining and providing us with so much information. Thank you! I want to also thank Bambu Labs for creating and supporting such.a great product in the X1 carbon..

Ok so I finally did it, I stop researching and I picked one. The Bambu Lab A1 mini. It was a small home based business decision, after buying it I found your video's. I have spent an entire day napping on and off listening to others video's. Thank you for creating a video with feeling in your voice and that doesn't put me to sleep. Not to mention, I'm that need to learn everything I can and be able to do it all and adjust everything personally. I will be creating my own items, this isn't a buy and just print what others have created tool. This is for me to bring what's in my head to life. Again thank you! I look forward to watching more. But for now, I need to go learn my program inside and out.

A *really* excellent video introduction to this software. I'm a complete noob at 3d printing (and therefore slicing) and even though I had picked up a tip or two from other videos, this has helped immensely with understanding what high level features the software has, where parameters are placed, and the workflow.
Well done, and I will watch the follow on ones as well. Thanks!

Never heard of Orthographic until this video, I always learned Orthogonal doing technical drawing or with Solidworks etc.

    • @colemangreen4191
      @colemangreen4191 10 місяців тому

I think orthogonal is a specific view - perpendicular to some plane (side, top etc).
Orthographic in these softwares usually is an option for determining if depth is captured in how it display the part. In contrast with perspective. So I do think Bambu gets it a little wrong or confusing in Studio.
In Solidworks you can turn on perspective mode but it’s not default since it can be very deceptive (like he demonstrates) if you don’t know it’s on. Also you can show an orthogonal view in perspective mode, if that makes sense.

    • @andyv8624

I work with 3D rendering software specifically for medical imaging and I've only seen the term 'orthogonal' used as well. Poh-tay-to, poh-tah-to, I guess.

I have FIVE 3D printers and this is the ONLY printer (I have the A-1) I have ever owned that printed a perfect benchy! I printed one at 100% with the included filament and it turned out great. Awesome guide thank you for this. I've been using cura for the past 4 years and just purchased the A1 combo, whilst waiting for it to arrive I thought id check out the slicer it uses and by the looks it's just like cura. Which I'm very happy about. 👍🏼
    Thanks again..

Love your tutorials, very helpful. Perhaps you can help me with a dilemma I’m having…..I have the P1S and I’ve been trying to print with PC and ASA and all I get is one failure after another, it seems like no layer adhesion no matter how much I tweak the settings. Funny thing is I’ve had no problem printing with these filaments on my AnkerMake M5C.

New Subscriber, Our Bambu P1S is on its way. Thank you for helping me learn about the new slicer. It's not completely foreign to Cura. I love seeing the capabilities, especially the camera. I've been thinking of installing one in our print room for years. It will save me from running up and down stairs to check prints (I may have to visit the gym more often). I made a cheat sheet while I was following your tips. I'm looking forward to watching your other videos. Well done:)

Orthogonal is correct. Orthographic is when you have more than one view in orthogonal (front, side, top) like is cad drawings.

8:00 "Orthographic projection is a type of 'parallel' projection in which the four orthogonal views of an object are shown." So orthogonal view in this case is the right term .

I used cura slicer but now I prefer Orca Slicer as it is a lot faster and better. This Bambu Labs Slicer is the same as Orca Slicer. I am getting a Bambu Labs P1P so I dont have to alter my slicer, thats great news, or I download Bambu Sliceer too just for hte BL P1P printer.
