Appreciate the effort you put into the camera angles and filming for this mate, let alone all the editing and sound effects etc. Very informative for people thinking of doing the BVRT. Nicely done 👌👌
Thanks for the great Vid and the full BVRT experience! I'm so glad you revisited your brief version and have us this amazing experience! I've done some sections and was so pleased to see familiar surroundings, but really want to do the whole Trail once the heat dies down sufficiently! Thanks John! Blessings Mate!
Thanks for posting the full edit John, a great showcase of the trail and in your usual entertaining style 😄 Perfect timing for me as going to do it again in a couple of months, but this time with my son. Reckon I'll stick to doing it over three days though 😉 Just ordered one of those quick mount type rear racks and a set of bags for my son's mountain bike, cheap as chips on Temu! Make sure you stop at the Blackbutt bakery next time!
Awesome to hear, that'll be a great experience for you guys! Yes, I've since ordered some saddle bags too, so will be interesting to use them on my next big ride. I've been to that bakery and also the Fernvale Bakery - both fantastic. :)
Great job on the video. Did the BVRT 2 years ago. A lot greener with a raging torrent just south of Yarraman, peanut paste mud near Blackbutt and all the grassed areas waterlogged. Can't decide which trail I prefer out of BVRT and Great Victorian. Not surprised the touche hurt with the extra weight on your body and bumpy ride.
My first gravel foray was on the BVRT sunset ride down from Yarraman to Linville, the bit from Blackbutt to Linville down the range through the forest done in the dark. N00b on a new gravel bike, what could possibly go wrong? Survived, hooked, done the whole trail a few times since then. Since you did this vid, some of the gullies have bridges between Esk and Coominya, the bit between Linville and Moore has been realigned and the bit down near Pine Mountain/Borallon has a new surface. its even better for the gentrification I think. Nice work with this vid. 👍
Lol, but you survived... and thrived😄. Yes, I have read that some of the segments have new bridges/improvements since May 2023. Oh well, this'll be for memories then :)
It takes a lot of stamina and willpower to be able to save some lollies until the next afternoon, you're a better man than I John, a better man than I. 👍😁👍
You’re an inspiration! I really enjoy all your adventures and I hope soon to ride this trail but I think I’ll do it in sections over a few weekends. I’m not confident to camp.
Mate, really great vid and I appreciate the time that you have put into this one. It is really helping my planning. If you were going to put a new saddle on your bike for a ride like this, what one would you use. Thanks mate!
At 1:17:10 we used to ride down the little canyon then up. I loved that. Now they put a bridge which is cool too but I wished they kept both options. It was more adventurous.
Very Nice Ride, I Watched The Whole Video Non Stop. Electrolytes Are Great But, I Would have Brought Along A Small Baggie Of Sea Salt. Cool Bike Wall. That Blanket Seem Very Noisy To Sleep With? WOW ! Another Bike Wall. Maybe Next Time Use Saddle Bags Instead Of A Back Pack. Good Job Great Ride.
Wow, you watched it all, Bat? Now you need to come to Australia to ride it😁...that sleeping arrangement was extremely noisy, crazy, never again, lol. yeah, I need to get some saddle bags next 👍
love your stuff sir..take chaffing cream with you, good for purpose plus toothpaste/sunscreen and a nice tasting spread on toast... NOT... 5 star you do great things.i love it

Thanks for putting that together John. I really enjoyed seeing what the whole BVRT looked like.
Great video with lots of detail great effort doing it over 2 days👌🏻 keep the videos coming very enjoyable to watch
Glad you enjoyed it! 💪
Thank you so much for the extended video!
You're welcome... I thought it was worth a longer vid for this one 👍

What a way to start the week. A new cycling journey 👍 That's some beautiful country you passed through. Great content as usual John
Thanks as always.... Finally got around to finishing this vid. Good for those keen to give the BVRT a go😁
Excellent video. Thank you. I'm looking forward to cycling this trail later in the year and it's helped a lot.
I will need to save this movie length feature for after work. Thanks, mate.
Enjoy! 👍

Got some saddle bags not that long ago, so that will be good to test out on my next big ride out this way... gotta save that touche 😂

damn bro, this is excellent
Loved it, inspiring, you appeared to have good weather throughout your adventure, what month did you do this?
This was in the month of May. :)

fun fact, salt is actually an electrolyte
@@rtool1 Yes I Know, But Celtic Sea Salt Is Extremely Important For Our Bodies. Best For Avoiding Leg Cramps.
"W" means whistle.
"Nice day to walk the bike" ... you must have got one of those "Hill Bikes" instead of a mountain bike? " :D
1:02:53 lol you need a plane, not a car, not a bike!
There's an obvious clue, or hidden message in that writing I can see.
Yeah, that was an interesting message...
love your stuff sir..take chaffing cream with you, good for purpose plus toothpaste/sunscreen and a nice tasting spread on toast... NOT... 5 star you do great things.i love it
Chaffing cream on toast.... yes, sounds like a great snack 😄 LOL

Taking all the letters that have lines above and below them gives you: "africa"
