You can just fill up your washer using a pitcher. Fill up the pitcher a few times and pour the water into the washer. I did that when I had my mini washer. No leaks that way. BTW, these portables washers have been known to clog plumbing so it's important to attach a filter on the end of the drain hose . That will filter out the lint so that you don't clog the plumbing pipes after some time of accumulation of lint. Just replace the lint trap when it gets full or clean it out.

So what you're saying is that instead of connecting your machine to a sink so it can fill up with water to the load level you chose, you can do it manually with a pitcher to your desired max? And if so how do you know when you need to add more water for the rinse cycle?

Hey! I used to set my Della portable into the bathtub. Unscrew the shower head and attach a hose to the pipe with a rubber hose with clip! They sell the rubber faucet attachment with clips together in a package. It’s a lot of work but it’s a money saver!

The portable washers clothes come out dryer than a regular washer. I don't know if it is smaller loads, but the spinner is more powerful on the Portable washers.
I bought a mini portable washer to use when my big washer broke as a temporary one to do laundry. Just a bit of advice I recommend that you dry your washer and let it air out before storing it in your closet to avoid mold and mildew as well as odors. I like your review it was very informative. Yes! Very important ☝️I always leave the hose inside of the washer so it won’t close and this way it airs out and never had any issues with mold:)

Wow... I bought a house last year, and for the first time, I got my own washing and drying machine. Before that, I lived in a small appartment we had to go to the laundrymat. 8 years I did that... And now I am SO MAD that those existed and I didn't even know 😭 That looks A-MA-ZING!!

I bought this after watching this video and it works great. Small loads but washes and spins like a full size washer. I use those sliding discs under each corner and keep it in my kitchen. So glad I got one that spins in same bin as it washes. No hassle washing.

This washer has a built-in lint filter plus a button trap filter. Really no need to add anything to the drain hose.
Thankfully this washing machine I got already has built-in lint filter so I don't need to do anything extra, it works great! :)

I HAVE THE SAME WASHER HERE IN NZ IN A CARAVAN AND IT WORKS REALLY WELL CLOTHES COME OUT SO, SO CLEAN AND SPUN BETTER THAN AN ORDINARY WASHER WITH LESS SPACE THANKS FOR POSTING
I bought it a year ago and I recommend it 100%. My washing machine is working like the first day. It has never presented any problem. It does not take up much space, it is easy to install, to use, it has a good capacity for its size, it washes, rinses and wrings clothes very well. It does not make noises when washing and neither when it is wringing the clothes.
I specify that this washing machine squeezes the clothes, but does not dry them. Get your clothes ready to dry in the dryer or in the sun.
If you are undecided to buy it or not, do not hesitate. Believe me, the money you will invest in it will be a good investment.
I advise you to place at the end of the hose, where the water comes out, put a filter on it. I put mine in one of a fine stocking. All the lint from your clothes gets caught in it and it won't be a problem for your drain pipes.

It’s amazing and You only have to really use the 19 minute rapid spin which to me seems fine rather than using 40 minutes since the load size isn’t large and you basically end up washing 3 loads in less than an hour!

I used to buy the arm and hammer detergent because I didn’t think it mattered and thought it still worked but I’ve found Tide is really the best. My clothes I thought were ruined came clean. My clothes came out a different color. Lol. I used arm and hammer for years but I will not longer ever buy from them.

i bought a similar machine 1.6 cuft ;automatic from walmart 325 at door; is really help me;the amazing result when i live closets overnight with detergent(start wash and power off after the fullfilling with water);u can use different type of combination just stop and starting again; i highly recomend this type of laundry machine all of you!
I do the same thing with this washer when I need to soak laundry a little longer :)
Great job with the review. I have this exact washer, works really well. By the way, when in doubt about the water level always choose the higher amount it puts less strain on the motor and your clothes.

Sandra brought up a good point that I forgot about. Nit only is it a good idea to hand dry your washer tub after use, but it is a really good idea to go with an empty wash and rinse every 2 or three weeks to make sure your tub and pump stay clear.
I ran into this video had to sit here and watch it completely, now I ask myself How in the world did I do for years without a Washer machine, I’m impressed with this little washer machine. I been watching clothes by hand most of the time when I was living in a house and was not aloud to have a washer machine cause they were to big and wasted to much water.. How do you dry you're clothes ??
I just received my Giantex washer, everything came with it except for the faucet adaptor and coupler.
My question is, the adapter and coupler you have on your faucet, will that same fixture fit my faucet.
I'm looking at your faucet and the way you attached your adapter and coupling to it.
Your hose isn't like mine, my hose is all white, even the end is white and plastic.
Anyway, I had to order a different all in one adapter, the end that suppost to go on my washer is connected to my faucet, and the end that suppost to connect to the faucet is on the washer.
It works, but I had a difficult time working with it, I have cuts and sore spots all over my hands because of the brass coupler.

I rearranged my kitchen to get a stacked washer and dryer in my tiny house... Cause no way my family can function without full laundry. Our neighbors (also in a tiny house) have a laundry set up outside on their back porch.
Everyone in a tiny house always figures out how to get that laundry done lol. ❤️
I do have a similar set up for my dish washer, that you do for your portable washing machine, it hooks up to the kitchen sink and drains there as well. It's a life saver.

I have a haier one. We loved using it in our apartment and we have it as a backup in case our big one goes bad. Now that we moved. Cleaned so well :)

I have this machine, really good a cleaning clothes. Better than Panda or Magic Chef.
Update: had to return the washer, hemorrhaged to much water from the lint plug. Instead went with the RCA washer and best investment I have made besides my Panda compact sensor dryer. Highly recommend both of these. They work beautifully.

Be sure the drain hose lays under the intake hose and is tied securely to hold it in place. They can jump out of the sink while draining and flood the floor. It happened to me. Thankfully the floor covering saved me as it rolls up higher under cupboards cupboards.

Would have loved to own this when I was renting. Even though the laundry room was right around the corner from my apartment I didn’t like hauling it there and always wondered if it was sanitary with so many people using it. Thank God those days are over.

8 months in w/ my first time small Magic Chef 2.0 cu ft washer & 2.6 cu ft dryer and all is well. I use the extra rinse feature on every wash b/c I'm liberal w/ soap. B/c it's just me, they are affordable to purchase & operate - and quality is way better than 10 yrs ago. 8 months & no problems. Home depot website purchase delivered to my front door. After watching this I bought a portable washer. Not this brand but yea. I love mine. I'm by myself and I have a hookup so I don't have to use for sink. But... It's saved me money on electric so far after two months

You just leave the faucet on for the entire cycle and the machine will add it in when it needs it

It does it automatically which is actually a bad thing if someone needs to manually fill it. It wont alert you to add more water the pump will just keep going and going until it burns itself up.
I just dropped the whole cup of laundry detergent into the washer.
I have had mine a long time. 2 big things to remember. Do NOT overload it. Do your best to make the clothes are spread out even or it will go off balance during spin.
I agree - it will wash the clothes better - it's especially important when you're trying to wash off some stains
To clean your little detergent cup you can actually throw it in with your load and it will be perfectly fine in there !!! That way you don’t have to wipe the excess off on a towel or something! Hope this helps! (:

Hi Julia, thanks so much for making this! Based on your video, I bought the same washing machine. I just tried to use it for the first time and water poured out of the unit onto the floor five minutes after starting the cycle. I stopped and unplugged (and cleaned), then opened to see that water was up to the very top of the basin (and that's why it was pouring out). This may seem like a very obvious question and I'm embarrassed to ask, but *when do you turn off the water faucet during the cycle?* I can see in your videos when you turn on the faucet, but I never see you turn it off. In the manual, it does not specify, either. Am I supposed to leave the water faucet running the entire time, or am I supposed to fill to a certain level and then shut the faucet off to prevent overflowing? I'm not sure if you read these comments, but thanks for any advice you have.
The washer should turn the water off automatically when it reaches the right level (1,2or3). You don't need to turn of the faucet until you're done with laundry. I'm sorry this happened to you. It sounds like you got a faulty washer.

OKAY GUYS I bought the 0.9 black and decker model BPWM09W.
I live in an apartment and none of the faucets are usable for the hose so I tried to manually fill it.
It DOES work, but it's not perfect. The problem is that you have to watch it because it appears that the machine will just keep pumping for water. It doesn't seem to have like an error code or stopping mechanism. So after it drains and spins the clothes it will automatically start sucking for water and I waited to see if it would stop and it didn't seem like it would, it just kept pumping and pumping so I am pretty sure that pump would blow itself up in no time if left unattended. Also I noticed that it it "thinks" the water level is too low it will start trying to suck in water from the inlet which is also annoying and would burn up the pump. It never gives like an error code or buzzes.
So you basically have to sit there and watch it....
This is what it looks like:
1.) load clothes
2.) put in detergent
3.) put in enough water, too little and it will keep pumping
4.) watch the laundry and wait for it to finish it's first drain cycle.
5.) when it starts pumping for more water press the pause button, open the lid, and add more water.
6.) now the machine can be left unattended to finish it's final rinse and drain cycle.
The unit doesn't hold much, BUT for the size and cost I think it's worth it. The unit isn't too heavy, but I did buy an appliance dolly making the washer highly portable. It gets the clothes relatively dry with just the spin and drain cycle. It's annoying that I have to baby it, but it beats going to the laundry mat which I hate.
I am currently experimenting with putting the damp clothes onto a drying rack and using a dehumidifier to dry the clothes, because mini dryers are expensive and use a lot of energy. I am hoping I can just get away with using a dehumidifier because it costs pennies to run and it's far more portable than a dryer unit.
We have the same one just make sure you don't overloaded with working only 2 to 3 time a week so that it could live longer with problems😀❤

I bought one on Craigslist for $100 bucks. Worked like a charm in my efficiency. Stored it in my closet under my hanging clothes. Had to order adapter on amazon.
That’s exactly what I do :) it’s amazing how nicely it fits in the closet - no one would tell I have a portable washer :D

Great review. I went through the same problem finding an adapter piece to fit my sink 😩 My washer had to sit for 3 weeks while I searched high and low for the right piece..
I totally feel you! I was so frustrated when all the adapters I bought didn’t match, but I’m glad I finally found the right one on amazon :) wish I went look for it there in the first place, because it would save me so much time and gas 😉
Look in the garden area for adapter if all else fails and get a steel braided hose if the hose that came with the portable washer is leaking.
I live in an apartment and these are not allowed in our building sadly. Well I snuck in the B&D washer and I was so excited to use it! It ended up being a disaster though, water was spewing out from the sink, from the hose connection, water was pouring out from the bottom of the washer itself. I was so worried I would flood my downstairs neighbors apartment. Luckily I didn’t - the washer got sent back the same day.
I’m so sorry to hear that:( it’s possible the drain hose wasn’t secured well enough? I never detach mine and I never had problems with water leaking out of it. It is important to keep it above the washer level- if you put the drain hose on the ground below the washer then it will leak out leftover water - you can put the drain hose in the shower to let the water out, but I never do it since I use the washer 2-3 a week. If your sink is too small to drain the water(or possibly clogged) then you can optionally use shower/bathtub drain. Again, I’m sorry to hear that happened :(

This washer is great for that - If I have some heavier stains I need soak overnight I just pause the washer and start it again in the morning or few h later - I couldn’t do it with any other regular washer :)

bought a different model but same style one tub washer, last night on Amazon, for my RV. And a 3.75cu.ft. front load small dryer too. Bigger dryer size should give laundry to tumble a bit more than if dryer is fully packed.
Now I'm plotting where I'm putting the mini washer & dryer.
robert wesch we just don’t like going to the laundry mat. & we don’t like paying dang near $2 dollars for every wash and dry at an RV park. We already pay enough for the lot LOL.

boy do i hear ya. It's been ok in my small town for the last year since a really beautiful, clean & modern laundry opened. The 60lb front loader washers are $9.50 and great for bedding and when my "guy mode" kicks in and have no idea how every piece of my clothing has been worn 2-30x based on smell. hahaha... but it's time.
There was the perfect machine that has a two tub design instead. this great review but the two tub machine i found the washer side held 30lbs! I waited too long and they're gone for now. That was ideal size if combined with the larger dryer. But found an ok compromise washer Panda 1.6cu.ft. "high-end" they called it. Still, I don't know why but i truly like the simplicity of the two tub machines. But full automatic will be nice too... planning on remodeling back half of my RV this spring so now i can add dedicated space for new set.

I wish I knew about these years ago! That would've saved me so much time, money and headaches. Especially with lost socks and stuff! That can get so frustrating with traveling laundry back and forth from the house to the laundromat.

I need this. I will probably just pour the water into the washer instead of hooking it up to the sink since I have only one bathroom. The dolly is a great idea, I will be hiding this in the closet, but I might get a tray or container to fix onto the dolly to catch any water that may leak.

Thanks for the video and helpful tips. I bought this washer and need to set it up. Only one screw came with the bottom cover, but it doesn't say which hole to use to attach it. (There are several holes on the bottom cover.) It also doesn't show which way the bottom cover fits onto the bottom (which side goes up). I'm not good at this type of thing. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me on this matter. Oh and where did you get a cover for your washer? Thanks.
