G4★ Duramboros Vs. Valor Hunting Horn - Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate - ドボルベルク 狩猟笛 ソロ【MHXX】

- Duramboros, arguably the second flagship monster of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in my eyes. Duramboros is a very unique looking monster in the series that really shines in its habitat, the Misty Peaks. You'll see in this video that Duramboros even blends in with nature.
A walking mountain with two weakspots on its peaks, Duramboros is an interesting Brute Wyvern that can't be tripped in any circumstances. Despite its legs being rather weak to damage, it's impossible to make Duramboros fall due to the size of these legs and its good balance to keep such a bulky stature up.
The only ways to force it down to hit its back weakspots is by either bothering it with damage when it starts its iconic helicopter move, or by KOing it.
Interestingly, Duramboros' threat level was pretty much maxed out in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, being a monster that only appears at G rank 4 stars quests, meaning it's among the most dangerous monsters in the game. Duramboros is slow but it hits hard, and Hyper individuals are extremely bulky, as if regular Duramboros didn't have very, very high HP already.
Duramboros overall stays a chill fight. What I wanted to showcase the most in this run and that I failed to do on the Najarala video was: two KOs with Hunting Horn, and showcasing backswings spam, which is one of my favorite and visually satisfying things to do with Valor Hunting Horn. Duramboros is an easier target to do this on, due to its big stature and the size of its weakspots.

An excellent monster, and competently handled. This is definitely among the top choices to return in Wilds, imagine herds of poor critter swept aside by the tornado club attack XD
The only brute wyvern that wasn't featured in 5th gen. Feels bad man, he is such a cool and unique design.

Redhelm/Bone then Astalos, Gore/Fatty/OldFatty are generally better. Hellblade is somewhat more nieche for certain types of sets and hunts
All matchup dependant of course
I only use Hellblade's Hunting Horn because it has my favorite design and noises haha.
