- Really scuffed opener but I'm getting better at dunking the swoopdown. Still get hit a few times, kind of the risk you have to take when going for that combo ender. Poor timing on the hit after the first exhaust stagger too.

@shufooni First off, amazing music sync. Second, I have a few questions as I am a 5'er coming to gu.
1.) How did you play Self Improvement from the attack up song?
2.) Is backslam > right swing > blackslam a better song combo than superpound > hilt stab > superpound

Playing a song composed entirely of double notes (gotten by hitting a monster during the swing) will also play the previous song. By default the previous song is self improvement so if you play another double note song at the start of a hunt you'll get it.
Backslam > right swing repeated is the highest DPS combo, though because you move during it it's better to face forwards and do superpound > right swing repeated sometimes instead, like I do during the second KO. When I'm doing it during the run I'm trying to get stuck on Rathian's face to try to stay in place more, but it didn't work out so great in this one.
Hilt stab is very rarely used in this game, at least in a speedrun setting.
