What you said with the 1 on 1 with Owen is so true. I had training of some great coaches and the one thing i did at the start a lot was react before the shot was taken. They would absolutely H A M M E R me for doing that and at the end i started making a lot more smarter and better saves. Finding that balance and not giving the shooter an inch and waiting for that shot really helped me in skyrocketing my level of play up. Tomorrow i have a scrimmage to play against 2nd and 3rd div players here in the Netherlands so im excited for that :)
Its so hard to be relaxed with the pre shot movement but i guess it's instinctive

Good to see the training is coming along. As you were talking about your workout with Brian you said you were leaving in 4-6 weeks. Does this mean you've signed with someone or are you just hoping to have something in place by then?
The plan was to leave in 4-6 wees. Still no team as of now, it's been a unique off season haha

I’m looking for new pads, and I was gonna get some true pads to Match ny gloves, but you can’t place orders rn and all stores are out of stock, what do you think is the next best option, I demoed axis 2 and hated them, and my previous was hyper light but I would like to step away from Bauer, what do you think I should get?
Try to get some Warrior G6. If YOU can find em then youre golden. Hope that helps

Hi, a question about your competitiveness. What mental games/tricks do you use to get focused for the fist period? I find with myself that the first period, im just out there for a skate and by the second period im more dialed in, thinking more about angles, shots, rebounds ect. Im an old timer who plays mens league and pick up, so im not looking for a contract, but want to be sharp for the entire game.
I think it comes with age, but taking my Amino IQ supplements help, lots of good breathing thorughout the day, elite level hydration, good sleep + a nap. Hope that helps

Trav…how many skates have you had in the 20.2s? I know you weren’t happy overall with the set due to specs issues, but how have they performed compared to 20.1?

Elite shooters keep you humble, that's for damn certain. Good tip on using the inside-out approach to arms and hands to force the shooter to go around you. I don't get beat too often through the body, but I may tweak my stance to try this out.

Nice video. Owen got drafted 21st. He's probably challenged you more than the players in the HockeyTrean league you played in last season. I think it is expected for sticks to break if you are playing with harder shooters.
I think its tough to compare when you have a Dman who is 1on1 afainst players in a real game. I will say that the best players in Div3 where comparable to Owen but theyre also grown men. Thanks for watching mate :)
When I was active in hockey a long time ago, I was also very active in jiu-jitsu. I couldn't quite explain the benefits of jiu-jitsu for goaltenders, but I knew there was a relationship and benefits between the 2. I'm actually looking to go back to playing a little bit of hockey after so many years (I live in the Philippines so ice time is pretty difficult to get as there are ony 2-3 rinks here). Your videos are great content, man!

Dude, be careful with the Jiu Jitsu. I’ve had a few injuries over the years when rolling that were total flukes but took me out for a month each time. I know how fun it is, but also know that you had some injuries last season. Hard line to walk. Stay safe

Is the bike helping your game? your cardio should be better. I think I’ve told you , play the position to benefit your ability. Like last season how many time you stack the pads. Old school technique do still work. I know u love the new style but mix up your game brother make it easy on your self. Much goalie luv , your bro from nyc. Jay.

I dont know if its because your so big or your just trying so hard to perfect the movement 100%. I know goalies are huge in todays game. I also fell like you got it after over and over again. Your also always doing your thing on the bike when most do have cars. Your cardio has got to be supreame on top of your transportation. We always see it. I guess what im gettinh at and i could never do it, so this is not talking smack and you know I love seeing you kill it. Instead of 100 perfect. I think you could and 100 can be faster at positioning and general. With all this Cardio you need to be blasting and and the position. You look like you trying to be in a perfect spot with no pucks! Move what mama gave you son! I love you man! Quick reaction from all positions. Or tell me if im wrong. EXPLOSIVE! Is whats up in today. Like i said if im wrong and i know you have it. Well I dont have a lot of "elite" features. My bread and butter is get in the right position and use the greatest gift i have. Sized. Thats the game plan, although I do love to stack the pads every now and then
hey that's why i don't wear anything bauer sucks to CCM i had a pair of bauer X-LP and somehow the lace got stuck in the goal i was making a pass around the goal and the lace got in the goal post and ripped of the tongue of the shake i hate bauer and that's a 129.99 dollars skate they make bad gear so people have to buy more

It's the act of chewing bud smaller bites and chewing more helps you feel full when your eating 6 small meals a day. The ice cream protein shake is sold vs liquid sits in your stomach longer that's why you fell full.

Biking in that hot weather is a bitch. I rode 23(37 km in communist speak) miles Friday in what I suspect was heat index's ranging from 31C to probably topping out at 38C(C stands for communist amirite??) in last few miles under blazing sun. I struggled, im usually good with heat but I find 35C is where things can go pear shaped depending on the day/activity. Apparently on Friday keeping my heart rate in the mid 150's in that heat was a bit too much.
And you can't get down about Owen opening you up like a tin can... he's a 1st round pick for a reason, he has been doing this sort of slicing and dicing of defense and goaltenders for years.
