    I love how AMG measures and uses data to diagnose and improve people’s swings. So fundamental, but so rarely done.

    Great video as always. This golfer had some things that I also do at times. That shoulder movement across rather then straight down is something I am constantly looking at. I guess I always see the instruction of making sure your shoulders are tilted rather then too flat. It always seems like a guessing game as too how much the shoulders should tilt. The other thing that speaks to me is the hips sometimes working too far towards the target. Can that be a problem when you over due the re centering?

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  Рік тому +1

      The shoulders turn on a 90 degree to the spine angle more or less. Taking the lead shoulder down is a death move because most golfers over do it and start to tilt left before the club even moves away in an attempt to get the shoulder down. If you just move it across it will give you the right amount of “down” as long as you keep your head relatively level

    WOW! that's exactly my hip motion.. I move hip way early and then trail leg straightens and my bud moves towards target way too early.. It's I got the "recentering move" you teach but on steroids! I do tend to have a over long and sloppy backswing. so I'll try to feel a more compact and shoulder driven backswing to see if it helps. Thanks.

    What about his elbow connections at address , during the backswing and into impact. Arms look disconnected and don’t appear to be working as a unit?

  • @jimwilliams7746

    The distribution of weight between the ball of the right foot and heel of the right foot was very eye opening for me. Would be very interesting to see how the pros do this. I ve been working on the recentering move and have been having a hard time making that happen soon enough. A few practice swings where I stay off of my right heel feels a lot more like throwing a ball, etc and seems to have my club swishing the target side of my spot on the rug! Can you reconfigure the pressure plates to see the distribution between ball and heel of one foot?

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  Рік тому

      No need to reconfigure to see that🤓

    Love this lesson. The way Greg loops his hands inside from the top of the backswing is just like the unconscious move I have been battling for years leading to an acute inside to out swing path at impact. I am trying hard to correct this but, because it is an unconscious move, I am finding it a tough nut to crack. Any ideas you guys have would be much appreciated. If you were in Australia, I would come and see you !!

      Golf lessons are expensive, and these are no exception, but I imagine the results are worth it. Being able to see exactly what my body is doing (feel vs real) is an amazing thing and probably shaves years off the learning curve.
      Golf is an expensive sport and is absolutely no fun when a player can’t hit the ball.

    It like you guys have said a good backswing makes the swing athletic where you can have a downswing that doesn’t require 10 swing thoughts 😂😂😂😂😂
