Quote of the year! "The Brutal Methods Are The Best". Yes, I agree 100%!
Your back to basics series have great reminders on things to keep practicing in the golf swing. The things you teach along with doing regular stretching and exercise have made a big difference in my consistency and accuracy. I can’t do a full hip rotation in my downswing at this time due to my lead knee needing replacement, but even so I am getting reasonable distance and dispersion thanks to putting into practice the knowledge you share in your videos. I’m looking forward to the rest of the videos in this series. Thank you!
Great sir Jonathan Taylor as always
Thank you!
Great content. Thank you!
Appreciate your videos
Glad you like them!
Thx for your work. You doing great job 💪
I appreciate that!
“All these carrots are no good, get the whip out.”😅
Mr. Taylor, late in the video you say one can feel he initiates the swing by contracting the left side, but it is really a bump to the right that starts the swing? Have you ever considered the idea that the two things are two aspects of the same motion? That is, that if the head is still, and one contracts his left side, such that the left shoulder goes down, his right hip will perforce move to the right at the same time? This is easily seen if one stands up straight and performs the motion without any rotation around the vertical axis. Or so it seems to me.
And thanks for the great videos.
The golf swing is a maze of movements and feelings, all connected, interdependent and difficult to time and synchronise. You are certainly right in your assumption, now you have to find your own personal recipe to make it all come together.
I have started to experiment with initiating the swing with a quick, vigorous push up with the trail leg. This seems to get the arms and shoulders turning on a good plane. What are your thoughts about this ?
I start the swing after pulling my trail leg knee back to straight & closing my right shoulder. I do this slowly & it works like a charm. I would think a quick movement would promote an overswing.
