So good! I've been ENAMORED by Jonathan Davis's vocal ability, and so glad you finally had a chance to hear them yourself! ♥
Everybody in this band is so damn talented and there is a reason why my guys are one of if not THE face of Nu Metal! 🤘🤘🤘❤
Have Fairy mom and yourself ever collaborated? Would be a treat. :)
@@r3cy a 100% agree from my side!
@TheCharismaticVoice tea time with Fairy Voice Mother?!! would be NUTS & SNICKERS. 🥳
It is truly a treat to see the community or reactors both highly trained and general enthusiasts come together and listen to a lot of the songs that I listened to in my formative years. I listened to so much metal as a young man that other music I had access to always felt it was missing something. The sheer amount of people relating all types of metal to classical music also makes me happy as I believe they have the most in common, as compared to most other modern genres. Anyway, thanks for doing what you do! Big fan! Stay nerdy!
when Jonathan davis screams GO! one cannot simply stay unmoved.
This isn't really anywhere near my typical genre but you're absolutely correct. On top of that, I believe Davis is one of the best vocalists of my generation. Not what I throw on myself but respect him to death. GO!!!! 🤘🤘
was in a mosh a Little over a year ago...and that Go was what started it....damn fun..Brilliant to be at a concert where u can feel almost all known Korn for years
I have lost count of how many times I have lost my shit in a pit after hearing JD scream GO!!
@@frankhermansen243I can verify that the same "GO!" made the pit erupt into pure chaos 25 years ago as well.
I always start moshing NO MATTER where i am in that Moment and who is with me.
Don't know why I'm always surprised, but it's soooo impressive how you can reproduce the sounds from these singers so quickly! That alone makes it so much fun to watch your videos!
It really is incredible tho
Amen - she is amazing
What amazed me is how fast she picks up on beatbox sounds. Beatbox is in my opinion the ultimate use of the instrument that is the mouth
I watch a lot of vocal coach videos. She's by far the best mimic out of any of them. Her normal singing voice is absolutely breathtaking too.
Any good singer can mimic other singers, it's finding your own unique voice that's really impressive.
Yeah....Korn blew our minds. Nobody sounded like Korn when they came out. When Blind hit, it was like a sledgehammer. "Arrre You Ready?" No Jonathan...I am sorry, but we weren't.
Yes, Blind would be an excellent one for @TheFairyVoiceMother to analyze next.
How many vocal techniques from different music genres can She instantly reply with total accuracy?
YES
awh!!! hehe thank you ☺
yea, which in my undertsanding realy shows how much of an undertandment she has about how our vocal system works. Many many have an intuition and use one certain method as they "discovered" that style.
But "imitateing" something from the ground up needs the understandment of what the body is doing and how to maniupulate it.
Note: I do not say other singers just happen to be talented, they work hard on their craft, I just wanted to emphasise how well our FairyGodmother must understand the vocal system to imitate it without it sounding immitated
I love how you can take a song that came out when I was in high school and have heard literally hundreds of times and point out these little amazing details that I never noticed.
I thought the same thing, I hear it totally different now, and appreciate it sooo much more
I did not expect to hear "I've never heard of Korn before", damn!
This is KoRn’s masterpiece, in my opinion. It’s got their heavy groove, hip-hip touches, guitar effects, heavy riffs and the wild scatting section which is a WTF moment for everyone. I’m kind of amazed that a song from the late ‘90s is still wowing people today. I was there when it was released, and it grew more and more. I’d hear it at house parties, grad parties and then the radio. KoRn’s music has always been labeled nu metal, which is similar to rap-metal. Back then it was really a thing, and I’ve grown to love it more since that time. Splice all sorts of genres together, why not. And, I have to say this is likely the most detailed analysis of Jonathan Davis’ vocals I’ve ever heard, so a big thumbs up for that.
especially since korn gets a lot of disrespect, mostly for the "nu-metal" bands that came after them who just mimicked their style.
Na, better songs, just hear it.
Shoots and ladders will always be my favourite, but this one is insanely amazing as well!
you have to appreciate how hard it is for everyone who knows the song not to skip to the bridge for your reaction
I was looking forward to that too haha
I have to say it, I've been biting my tongue, but you are absolutely one of my favourite reactors ever. I love your analysis ..and how you're like a human friggin voice imitation machine type deal.. but also how relaxed and free you are as a person. You give off such lovely energy and I think we all need more of that! Also, I don't think I've ever watched you without laughing out loud lol!
I'm stoked you're digging into a juicy bit of Korn, they're.. they're Korn.. I dunno, they're just.. Korn lol!
Love and light, friend! Have a wonderful weekend!
Why bite your tongue, she's great :3
She's hilarious. Seems like she'd be such a fun person to go out on the town with. And yeah, her ability to mimic other singers is uncanny.
Ah what an absolutely lovely thing to say. The freeing of your tongue has made my week! 💜 All the love and light to you too, Chief!

"1st time Korn reaction" -> Oh neat, she's reacting to this song for the first time
"I've never heard of this band before." -> Oh. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh boy, we're really in for a treat today.
Shoots and ladders and Blind are probably the two songs everyone who discovers Korn must listen to asap. Just saying, I'm sure you'll love them
My two fav's!
I've never heard those two tracks. I started with Freak on a Leash, Yall want a single, Twisted Transistor.
@@raymondamador1487 Dude you seriously need to listen to their first album lol
@@nucl3arboNg I'm sure a few songs are available on UA-cam, lol
Got The Life
It's impressive how seemingly intuitive understanding you have to the vocal sound creation
Knowing and loving this song, I was waiting for Lolli’s reaction at 9:35. WAS. NOT. DISAPPOINTED. 😁😁😁
The lyrics and what is behind many of Jonathan Davis' songs go back to his past history as an abuse victim. The darkness in him swelled and he found a way to transform it into what we hear and feel through the music. Ferocity, anger, rage, sadness, control...it's all there.
Your unbridled absolute JOY hearing this song absolutely made my day. Thank you for this, I really needed it today.
KoRn are goated. He still sounds killer too 20 years later
I died laughing when you actually recreated the vocal sound from the bridge 😂 That was excellent!
that bridge when he's doin his thing, then the "GO!!" ..always epic and goosebumpy.
PRECIOUS!! 👾
The follow on song from this is... falling away... it literally follows from this video... its a superb song.
I love that you appreciate Korn as much as we do ❤️🔥
Your ability to reproduce any line in any song is absolutely insane! I love you so much for that!
I normally dislike when people talk too much during these reactions, but your insight is great. You gave me things to consider.
I was like "oh nooooo she never heard Korn before?" and then 2 seconds later i was like "well this is great actually i love her 1st time reactions" lol a roillercoaster of emotions in 5 seconds.
And of course, i just love how you pick up on the message of the song that fast, yet another time i'm blown away cause i never heard the song described this way and it just made it 100 times better.
Oh and this song in particular sounds AWESOME Live, it's insane! I also recommend Souvenir by Korn, it's an absolutely crazy song!
It's really cool to see someone experience so much obvious joy listening to music most of us mostly take for granted. You're able to highlight nuances I never really noticed as a casual listener, but will never NOT hear them again.
Thank you for making great music more enjoyable.
This is one of the songs I love to hear vocal coaches geek out over.
lots of vocal coaches like elements of this song but you're the only one who seems like they actually like the song. dude, you're just awesome!
Please more from these guys, korn is one of the best bands ever existed
Excellent reaction and commentary!
Lolli is the best. She can describe and explain or convey anything regarding the music and the voice etc. I don’t think she realizes how good she really is. How much potential she has. A star. A beautiful star who’ll be incredibly famous.
This song used to go OFF at high school parties back in the day. Especially when he screams “GO!” and that sick breakdown happens.
Yep, this is the right person to review this song. Amazing.
This is by far my favourite reaction I’ve seen to this song hahah. Her face at 9:34 had me smiling so much, just pure unadulterated joy and surprise at what’s happening :)
As always your reaction, enthusiasm, breakdown, and editing are magnificent. *chef's kiss* Look forward to more Korn from you.
I have listened to this song dozens of times over the years and loved it. However, hearing your reaction to it has given me a new appreciation of the artistry involved. Thank you. Great reaction.
A daily dose of those beautiful eyes, and a great smile, makes the entire day worth it!
Your magic is powerful Fairy Mother!
Yep, there's a reason this song and video really rocketed them into being one of the biggest bands in the world and brought a ton of interest to the extremely varied umbrella genre "nu-metal". This song basically got metal on the radio, in shopping malls, etc. For years. (More or less.) Your reaction is awesome as always, it's so cool to actually have analysis of Jon Davis's "industrial scat" beyond just "what the fuck, that was crazy". I hope you do more from Korn.
This reaction is why you're by far my favorite reactor!
I can’t believe this video is 25 years old insane still wild and will always love it
Jonathan has a vocal coach. His gutturals are amazing.
we need more Korn!! 💜💜💜
The scatting bits by Jonathan are amazing. I can do all of his general harmonics but my mouth just won't do those. Amazing.
You're the best singing analyzer I've ever seen. I try the techniques you demonstrate as you teach them. Brilliant!
“A Time Machine for my brain” best description for nostalgia I’ve ever heard!!!
Referring to the lava lamp.
I friggin' LOVE the way you enjoy music. I JUST LOVE IT! You're awesome. You're brilliant (like brits say hahaha).
Unbelievable how you analyse this.
I played this song a trillion times through my life and you point out so many details that i heard in the beginning but didn't hear anymore after the milliontrillionth time i play it.
And your imitations are super 😂
If you like the intermezzo where Jonathan goes "Boommmm na na ...", i can advise you to listen to "Twist" by Korn.
Your facial expressions were priceless.
But you really never heard this song before ?!
Lollie is the best reaction analysis UA-camr. Also the most talented, imo, and there are plenty good ones. Funny too. Not to mention how bloody gorgeous she is. I'm mesmerized by her beauty every time. Her bloke better appreciate this goddess.
KoRn shaped my 90s youth along with Deftones, Tool, Marilyn Manson, etc. Really enjoy your videos, good stuff.
"FALLING AWAY FROM ME" next! Please oh please! It's just the natural progression ❤❤❤
I have to say I'm one of the lucky ones who was in pits at concerts when these bands dropped these albums. There was no other feeling like the intensity and energy in the crowds at these shows. Blessed to have seen Korn and hundreds of others in their primes.... live.
The 'GO!' drop never fails.
Korn , Jonathan Davis my 💜, 🔥🤘☮️
That growl when the breakdown starts❤️
Korn was one of the bands I grew up listening to (well, just before I hit my teens) they’re pretty amazing live too!
You have an incredible brain. 👍
This is always a fun one to watch as their introduction to Korn, particularly singers and voice coaches. All the fun of the verses and chorus, meanwhile everyone familiar with it is waiting for THAT part, and the reactions are priceless. I'm not even sure if you'd classify it as a form of scat, beatbox, or whatever...but I like the 'bullet language' term for that part.
You just performed a master class of reacting. This was a great song to show off your technical knowledge and your love of the extraordinary in music. There are several great Korn songs but Make Me Bad has always been a favorite
You have the best vocal and lyrical breakdowns of any Reaction tuber I've seen :).
She did it again! Every video is better than the previous one, and each is insuperable! Blows my mind every time.
I love it. I'm watching just waiting for him to drop the cool part. I wasn't disappointed 👌
Korn are one of the great bands, often overlooked, and this song is one of their best. That album was an absolute masterpiece, and one that has stayed on my playlist since I first heard it maybe 20 years ago.
So wonderful to watch. Can't get enough. Love the Office mug too lol.
This is the best reaction i saw for this song. Thank you.
I do believe when you said "he is right there whispering in my ear and I can feel the moistness" was the most amazing and funny things I've heard describing his voice!!😂😂 Nailed it, keep being awesome 👍
I'm so happy you finally reacted to Korn, it's one of my favourite bands !!! Can't wait for your reaction to their other songs
I took the wife and kids to go visit my parents. The kids played my CD, from Korn, this song. Ultra Catholic mom of mine (really I think the pope called her on policy questions) called a priest. She was born in 1928, ok I understood.
My grandma was born in 1930 and she defends me like a doberman when somebody someone decides to even stare at my pierced, tattooed, goth ass!

@@evasl I love " The Who" I played them so much when the CSI TV series came out with The Who playing every opening song, my mom could air drum with Keith Moon. She was in her 70's
9th and semitones also my faves.. so creepy! Korn attracted me mainly because of its creepy vibes making groovy rythm sections + heavy riffs + scary effects, all of this lead by Jonathan Davis' impresive vocal originality! Thanks for this video Loli, big fan! 🖤
I had the pleasure of seeing Korn live back in '04 and it was incredible!! It was a tour with Lincoln Park, both were fantastic live, the crowd was superb, huge mosh pit, bonfires in the lawn behind the seating. Insanity
Forget the music, I just bloody love watching and listening to you, extremely enchanting ❤
YASSS! You found Korn!! :D Welcome to the sound of awesome. You'll love their songs...
You are so intelligent, well-spoken, and have such an old soul, I sometimes forget just how young you actually are...so while not being too familiar with Korn, SOAD, Nirvana, Queensryche, etc. may sound odd, it actually makes perfect sense. It is one of my great joys watching my favorite YT personalities discover some of the music that shaped my younger years. One of the things I might suggest is some of the better voices from the hair band era of metal... Steelheart, Bullet Boys, Skid Row, even Whitesnake, all had vocalists that really could have flourished in any genre..yeah, the music is a bit cheesy, but two things you can generally count on with hair metal...a really good guitarist and a great singer...its really how Pantera started, its how Queensryche started, food for thought. All that being said, I would love to hear you break down Otis Redding's voice and I would also love to hear your thoughts on my favorite jazz musician, Thelonious Monk...keep it up, kiddo...you are literally affecting change in people's days...
Watta fun reaction! At the same time precisely analytical. Hats off!
the ninth is also very prominently featured in RATM's "Killing in the name of" ;)
More of this pretty please !!!! Awesome song, awesome reaction. Love your combination of vocal coach analysis and total amazement and enjoyment.
I love this track, brilliant song and just the right amount of twistedness in the vocals. The pain is real and comes through so powerfully, Jonathan has one of those voices that cuts you deep.
Ooooh I'm looking forward to this!!
😂😂 your reaction to his scatting was great. Had me cracking up
Your one of the best reactors on UA-cam.You not only react but mimic the singers voices .You have an amazing singing voice!
Danse Macabre, Thank you!! Never heard this before and absolutely ❤ it!
One of my favorite songs of all time
I love your reactions this one is by far best one I've ever seen your energy was amazing more Korn please
Is like he sings somewhere in the middle of scat and beatbox technique,I always find myself amazed about that part
Korn was so unique and talented. I’d never heard a band sound like them, and then I heard a ton of bands try and sound like them 😂
In my teenage years this was my first song that I've heard from Korn. I was astonished by them, loved them, bought my first casette with this album... Loving it to this day. IDK why, but it always makes my mood better, even if it sounds dark, it has a really positive vibe into it :)
Korn, haven't thought of them since the 90s :D
Great reaction great analysis 👍🍀 glad you enjoyed my home time boys, shout out Bakersfield CA. It's hard to believe how long ago this song was made. It stands up today.
This is one of Korn's biggest songs but does not display Davis's brilliance at all. He's an incredible vocalist so I hope you do more of them. I don't know much about Korn but the diehards will know better which songs show him off better!!
You've just explained to me why I love Korn and Dance macabre at the same time. Subscribed. Love, love, love you. Thank you. It's like you've made a part of me understandable to me. I can't explain it better, sry. But sooo grateful.
Finally back for a premiere!!! No doubt this will be epic!
My favorite reaction channel by far!!!! I listen to every second. Love this band... Well Done! 👍 One other thing its uncanny how you can mimic every signer you react to... What a great voice!
Incredible reaction !
I found this channel after I discovered Aurora. Have loved it since. With that said, this is my favorite reaction to date. Such an epic, well connected, and fun analysis. Maybe not reaction worthy, but for those that have little history with this band, there are so many grindy, nasty, heavy tracks that are outside the most well known: "Here To Stay", "Justin", "Make Me Bad"........
This reaction ignited an old flame in me.
This is the most amazing reaction to this song I have seen!!! Gave me goosebumps!!! Thankyou!!!
Lots of fun musical and vocal details to dig into on this one, thanks as always!
Oh, we got a Korn fan now eh?! 😄 I was introduced to them at college, late 90’s and this is the tune that grabbed me; I was almost physically moved. I was a jungle/drum and bass person before this, but saw similarities in textures
Ya know i listened to this over the years over and over sometimes. When you said it was done as someone whispering in your ear “ feel the moisture”. Now gives me chills. In a good way 😊
I’ve loved watching your videos. I typically struggle with being emotionally present but watching you be ravaged by these driving and powerful songs, I can mirror your emotional state and it’s so cathartic
This has to be one of the Best koRn FOAL video reactions ever 🤟😍🤟
She’s 100% 🇬🇧
