    I love and deeply respect Voddie Baucham. His teaching comes from wisdom given by God. His sermons are loaded with truths that, even though I've studied the Bible all my life, I ALWAYS learn new truths. Recently his sermon about Acts 4 popped up on UA-cam -- about how we cannot be neutral in our walk with God, how we must say THE NAME of JESUS just like Peter and John. Very relevant to this time we live in, especially with the debacle of the Olympics opening ceremony and how the Name of Jesus is being banned. Thank you for this video about jamming and propaganda.

    Praise God for Voddie Baucham. He's a man who is being trained to know the enemy (by God's grace we are NOT ignorant of the devil's designs). He is a learned man who understands the times we're in and how we got here. Christians are being compromised and drafted to fight against the gospel --- IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!! Jesus said to the apostles that there's coming a time when people would kill them and think they were offering service to God (John 16:1-4). Using the example of preaching a sermon on adultery is spot on. The bleeding heart "love" in churches is an obstacle to people's salvation.

    Thank you for this. Jamming was one of the techniques the media, entertainment, educational, and political systems used during covid to target churches. Most Christians do not realize that churches were actively marketed (through leaders who would influence congregants) to sign onto the covid propaganda. The church failed the covid test primarily due to the propaganda of trusted institutions (including the medical and church institutions). I would love to do an entire channel devoted to covid, the church, and propaganda techniques used to influence followers of Christ, but UA-cam has already censored me, taken down videos, and threatened to remove my channel. Thanks for all you do.

      @@AffirmingJesus - I hear ya, and I relate. I'm not adept or interested in social platforms, but have been regularly releasing apologetics videos for a year and a half now, and it keeps steadily growing.
      I think the message you're discussing is important for the church. Too many churches rolled over without any resistance - I think it's a dire indicator of how many churches cave under even the mildest social pressure, in order to please the powers that be and keep their "brand" alive.

    Dying the death of a 1.000 qualifications - spot on description of how we bend over backwards not to offend or hurt anyone's feelings.
    I think about how we got spanked for wrong-doing when I was a child. We understood perfectly well what was going on, and the fear of a spanking kept us on the straight and narrow more often than not. When I became a parent, I spanked my own children - and we sometimes had a conversation afterwards, but no apologizing went on for my having to exercise the consequences. At that time, it became very vogue to apologize to your kids for all kinds of things. If right and meet, I would; but not to follow the day's dictum. At that time, some parents began lots of conversations prior to a spanking - if they even went that far. As time's gone on, people have become such wimps they don't even want to take on the mantle of parenting. This exemplifies what is going on everywhere - even the church.
    Preach on, Voddie!

    It is very disappointing to hear any kind of gutless qualifiers prefacing the statement of a believer's stance. I'm often using the phrase "of course" when asked about my position. But we must consider that, though no worse than other sins, this is one that is not just an action but considered to be an identity. I believe the most important aspect of engaging this topic is empathy. If keeping your salvation was dependent upon you successfully reeling in a lost sinner, how might it affect your witnessing.

    What would be a biblically faithful way to reconcile Voddie's comments about no one starting a sermon about adultery with qualifications that he is not condemning anyone, with Jesus' approach to the woman caught in adultery in John 8:10-11. It seems as though Jesus' sermon to her is that she should no longer commit the sin of adultery, yet He also begins by telling her that her condemners are gone and that He doesn't condemn her either. He does not qualify or accommodates her sin, but he also begins by telling her that she is not under His condemnation. (We know this is only possible because of the sacrificial death He provided as substitutionary atonement for her sin), but in her context at that moment, He doesn't seem to wait for evidence of her sanctification before declaring His justification. Any thoughts on how to merge Jesus' approach while not capitulating to the cultural jamming tactic we're facing?

      The fumble by the Pharisees was only the woman caught in adultery was brought forth. It takes 2 . Revisit Leviticus 20:10. Adulterer and Adulteress. Jesus couldn't condemn her.

    • @doerrjams5770
      @doerrjams5770 Місяць тому

      @@Michele-hd1uh Thank you for this. Indeed Lev 20:10 states that both the man and woman should be brought forth when caught in adultery, however, this verse doesn't explicitly state that condemnation of just one party is prohibited if only one party is brought forth. In this case, I'm not sure Jesus was prohibited under the law from issuing condemnation upon her. Also the context of this narrative doesn't seem to imply that Jesus was longing to condemn her but refrained due to the constraints of Mosaic code. His decision seemed to be driven by His redemptive purpose to be the atonement for our sin, the propitiation of God's wrath, and the model of a new sanctified life no longer enslaved to sin.

      @@jannesfourie2370 So you think one should qualify if their spouting an opinion rather than fact, huh? I do too. So let's examine which of us does this and which one should. I stated that Voddie doesn't know what he's talking about when he says the "A" stands for allies (if you'll look, the "A being asexual and not allies" was the comment I was addressing). So just like the "L" doesn't stand for lover but rather lesbian, that is a mere fact, not an opinion, the "A" likewise stands for "asexual", not "allies." Thus, no need to qualify since it's a demonstrable fact. However, assuming you're a Christian, you state things about your religion as fact all the time that is just your opinion. "Jesus is Lord" would be an example. However, that's just an opinion. It cannot be proven as fact. So I think Christians should qualify every time they make a statement about Christianity as if it's factual, that they instead qualify it with "I believe" or "it is my opinion that" in front of it. If you're gonna push for qualifying opinions with qualifying statements, might as well start with yourself.

    Also, the churches will allow criminals to enter the church. 'We must forgive them." Not like that, they come as "roaring lions". Study, we need to resist the evil in our land and that starts with all evil leaders even in the church.

    The reason pastors need to qualify their sermons on homosexuality is because the only “evidence” they have by which to condemn it is a collection of Ancient Near Eastern texts no longer relevant to modern society and enlightened minds.
    Other “sins”, such as murder, adultery, and theft, produce observable outcomes that inform us of the resultant negative consequences.
    Without the Bible’s condemnation of homosexuality, what evidence is there that homosexuality is harmful or destructive? From what moral foundation, divorced from religion and superstition, can one build an argument that homosexuality is wrong? Furthermore, can one even condemn another’s actions at all using Biblical proscriptions as one’s only criteria without even demonstrating the Bible’s authority?
    If Christians want to discuss this privately amongst themselves that is certainly their prerogative. However, there is no place for this nonsense on secular public forums.
