He owns the publishing for Buddy's songs, so it's in his financial interest to promote Buddy. Buddy deserves promotion.

Paul is so funny, he seems to be a real smarty pants here. I luckily saw him in 92 and 2022.
Tracey Ullman and Paul were both in the movie Give my Regards to Broad Street. I remember it being my favourite movie of the year back when I went to see a movie every Friday night. But apparently I hadn't heard that according to the critics it's no good. Also despite being a perfectly acceptable movie, whatever the critics said, it seems to have evaporated without a trace.
I think it is on youtube. Search for it.
And who cares if some critic disliked it?

I love Paul, and I enjoy the movie….but it’s terrible. I think Paul was surrounded by “yes” men at that point, when he would’ve benefited from a Lennon type to tell when an idea was trash.

I heard one of the Crickets talk about how they got their name.. He said they wanted an insect and got out a dictionary and started with A as in Ants.....then B and they quickly skipped over Beetles......

He was a dj in a club that Macca went to a lot...Paul would ask "how's things, Desmond?) and Desmond always replied with a smile and would say
'Obladee, obladah. Life goes on.'

You mean ‘Beatles’, I assume?
Beatals then changed it Beatles.. he was a fan of buddy holly and the crickets which the word has a double meaning they insect and the game of Cricket in England.. he wanted a name that had a double meaning so Stu and John came up with Beatles like the insect and Beat like the drum beat.
Certainly was gorgeous.

George suggested the Beetles after a motorcycle gang in the Wild One. John suggested the spelling change.

Michael Jackson bought it from McLean music then Paul McCartney bought it from Michael Jackson’s estate for an extremely escalated price… that’s how it went…! And the Buddy Holly publishing was part of the same deal…
